was in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford.
Jeanette was born on the family farm

McNamee of Dysart. She was the ninth
child of that family of 13 children. She
attended rural school and Dysart High
School.
Jeanette McNamee was united in
marriage with C.D. "Beany" Burrows on

Jeanette participated in the farming
and dairying on a daily basis. She
raised chickens and always had a large
garden. She enjoyed her family and
grandchildren. Most members of the
family had favorite "dishes" baked by
Jeanette. The all-time favorite was her
rolled sugar cookies. There were always
sugar cookies at her home. Grandchildren
are currently vying for the ability to
bake the cookies “most like Grandma's.”
After retirement, Jeanette and Beany
enjoyed playing the banjo and violin in
bluegrass groups. They traveled to
bluegrass events in the Midwest and
entertained locally. Retirement also
gave them more time to visit in their
children's homes. Participation in the
farming and fishing in the pond were
highlights. Following Beany's death,
Jeanette moved to Parkersburg in 1978.

2005, from complications with pneumonia.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 28,
2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church with
Dr. Matthew Rueger officiating. Burial
was at the Hubbard Cemetery.
Adolph was born April 17, 1919, to
Henry and Alma (Ziebell) Herbrechtsmeier
in Hubbard. During his youth he lived on
the family farm south of Hubbard and
enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and
playing sports. Later the family moved
to another Herbrechtsmeier farm farther
south. With the outbreak of World War
II, Adolph joined the Marine Corps and
served in the South Pacific as a
mechanic on fighter planes. He was
posted to the islands of Guadalcanal and
Bougainville (among others). Adolph was
proud of his association with the Marine
Corps and maintained an active
connection with his squadron, VMF 211,
the "Wake Island Avengers." For a brief
period after the war, Adolph remained in
the Marine Corps, and while serving at
Cherry Point, N.C., met Ida Elizabeth
"Lib" Cory, of Savannah, Ga. They were
married on June 22, 1946, in Savannah.
They moved back to Hubbard in order to
take up farm life, moving to the family
farm south of Hubbard after his parents'
deaths, and took in a maiden aunt who
needed his care. Adolph farmed with his
brother Harry and brother-in-law Asher
Oakes for many years. Adolph was
supportive of local athletics and school
programs, and served on the Hubbard
School Board for a time. The family also
attended St. John's Lutheran Church,
where Adolph served as elder and in
other capacities during his life.
From his youth Adolph was an avid
fisherman, making many fishing trips
throughout the United States and Canada.
Adolph was also an aviator, receiving
his private pilot's license and owning
several different planes that were
frequently seen over the skies of
Hubbard and surrounding areas. He gave
rides regularly to Boy Scout troops,
relatives, friends and various other
local folks who showed an interest.
Adolph and Lib were also members of the
Iowa Flying Farmers for many years, and
Adolph served as an officer on various
occasions, including one term as
president. After retirement, Adolph and
Lib spent their winters in Florida and
traveling across America. He took up
golf and bicycling and spent many hours
in his woodworking shop making furniture
for friends and relatives. In his last
years Parkinson's disease afflicted
Adolph severely, and it took away his
ability to be active, which was always
very important for him. Since 2003
