found dead near Popejoy May 7.
According to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Lab in
Ankeny, the exact cause of death is “drowning.” Warwick was found in a
primitive camping area near Popejoy, face down in five feet of
water.
A statement from the sheriff’s department said
Warwick may have had a medical condition. Family members say Warwick
battled depression problems in the past.
“Our investigation at this point is pretty much
complete,” Franklin County Sheriff Larry Richtsmeier said. “We have no
evidence nor do we suspect that any foul play was involved.” |
