Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frederika with Pastor Dale Halverson officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Memorial Gardens Cemetery rural Charles City.

Having served his country for 15 years in the US Navy, ending with rank of Chief Petty Officer, Jim will receive an Honor Guard burial ceremony at the Tahoma National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. June 4. Preceding the burial will be a Silent Viewing at the Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel, 27221 156th Ave. SE, in Kent, Wash., from 8:30-10:30 a.m., with a memorial service and reception to follow at 1 p.m.
