A son of James and Dorothy, Harold David "Hal" Campbell was born August 18, 1955 in Iowa Falls, IA. After his cherished childhood on the family farm near Alden, IA the family moved to Iowa Falls, IA where Hal graduated from Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1974. Hal was raised in a loving Christian family and accepted the Lord as His Savior as a young boy. He grew up gathered with those of likewise faith at the Meeting Room in Iowa Falls. Hal and Suzanne Budde were united in marriage on August 23, 1975 and blessed with two children, Sarah and Matthew. He was a member of the North Iowa Hardin County Emergency Squad, serving for a time as Commander. As a member of Highland Country Club, Hal served as a board member and President. In 1995, due to Suzanne's health, Hal and Suzanne moved to Tucson, AZ where Hal was the General Manager of Copper State Bolt and Nut until the opportunity to work at and later own Hoffmann Steel Fabrication. The beautiful, plentiful, year-round golf was Hal's unending joy. In Tucson he participated in the Parks Board, Golf Tourneys and BIC Club. Hal's joys were his faith, his family and friends, golf, the Green Bay Packers EBF (even before Favre), the St. Louis Cardinals, the Boston Celtics and the Arizona Wildcats, Sushi with Ernie, His Cosworth Vega, music of many kinds, playing with his grandchildren and his loyal pal Murphy (the spoiled-rotten dog). Hal spoiled us all with his smile, devoted loyal friendship and love. He lived his life with a joyous hope and took his joys and sorrows as from the Lord. His care and devotion to Suzanne was a blessing in her life and an example of loving selflessness. His home-going leaves us with an irreplaceble void...but Hal would tell us "God's plan is perfect" and to carry on in faith, looking for the best and finding comfort and peace in the Lord.
