Maezene Wamsley Anderson


Former Butler County resident Maezene Belle Wamsley Anderson passed away in Overland Park, Kansas on February 13, 2010 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Anderson had come to the Kansas City area in December of 2009 with her daughter, Frances Young, from Oklahoma to be near her family.

Maezene was preceded in death by her husband, William Anderson, her daughter Frances Young, her sonin- law, Roger Young; her sisters, Geneva Peterson, Trula Whinfield, Lois Rodel, and her parents Truman and Fanny Wamsley.

She is survived by her two sons, Gregory Bovee of Overland Park and Matthew Bovee of Essex Jct, Vermont, and her brother, Robert Wamsley of Butler County Iowa. Maezene was the loving grandmother of three grandsons and one granddaughter and the proud great-grandmother of three great-grandsons.

Services will be in Clarksville in June and interment will follow in Lynwood Cemetery. The family will announce the plans for the June service in the newspaper after all preparations are complete and a date set.
Lavon M. Johnson


Lavon M. Johnson, 81, of Allison, Iowa, passed away February 22, 2010, at the Waverly Health Center in Waverly, Iowa.

She was born on March 28, 1928, in Dumont, Iowa, to Fred and Alice (Drisco) Day. Lavon graduated from Dumont High School. She was united in marriage to George Johnson Jr. on July 8, 1951, in Dumont. Lavon worked at the Allison Care Center for many years.

She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Lavon enjoyed working and cooking.

She is survived by her sons Stanley (Portia) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona, Dennis Johnson of Allison and Russell (Diane) Johnson of Britt, sister Wilma McKinney of Aredale, grandchildren Phillip (April) Johnson, Jessica (Matthew) Doden and Jonathan Juhl and great grandchildren Breanna Johnson, Hunter Johnson and Harper Doden. L

avon was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, daughter Gloria and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 26, 2010, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Burial took place in the Allison Cemetery. Rev. Jeffrey A. Blank officiated the service.

Larry L. Atteberry


Larry L. Atteberry, age 69, of rural Parkersburg, Iowa, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, in Waterloo, Iowa, of advanced liver cancer.

Funeral Services were held Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Parkersburg, with Pastor Ryan Zurbriggen officiating. Full military honors were conducted at the church by the Parkersburg American Legion, Post #285. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Codner Cemetery, rural Parkersburg, Iowa. Alvera Mary Schoneman


Alvera Mary Schoneman, 92, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Allison, Iowa, passed away February 26, 2010, at the Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m., at the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, Iowa with Rev. Jeffrey A. Blank officiating. Burial was in the Allison Cemetery.

She was born on September 22, 1917, in Butler County, Iowa, to William and Alvena (Schroeder) Weinberg. Alvera attended country school and graduated from Allison High School. She then went on to earn her teaching degree from the Iowa State Teachers College.

Alvera was united in marriage to Frank Schoneman on November 25, 1945, in Allison, Iowa. She taught country school for ten years and was the secretary at the Allison-Bristow School System for twenty six years, until her retirement in 1991.

Alvera was an active member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison for many years. She loved to bake, sew and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Alvera is survived by her daughter Bette and husband Charles Wubbena of Waterloo, daughter Doris Schoneman and husband David Mongin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, grandchildren Michelle Wubbena of Waterloo Mark Wubbena of Waterloo, Paul and (Lisa Wallace) Schoneman Mongin of Woodridge, Illinois, Jon Schoneman Mongin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and great granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Wubbena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters Roberta Busch, Leona VanHauen, Helena Pagels and Evelyn Hartema, one brother Wilbur and one sister in infancy.

Dale Vincent Eisentrager


Dale Vincent Eisentrager, age 84, of Bristow, Iowa. Dale was transferred from St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester on Tuesday, March 2, to the Allison Rehabilitation Center where he passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, after a 13 year battle with cancer. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 at the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church of Dumont. Burial took place in the Dumont Cemetery with Pastor Larry Paulley officiating the service.

Dale was born October 2, 1925, on the family farm in rural Dumont, Iowa, to Frank and Lela (Truax) Eisentrager. He was educated in a country school in Butler County. He worked on the family farm with his dad before going to serve his Country in the United States Army. He served from 1954 to 1956. After his discharge, he returned to the Dumont area where Dale continued working with his dad. He also worked as a carpenter and a hired farmhand.

On June 11, 1960, Dale was united in marriage to Mary Ann Wendt in Dumont. Dale and Mary Ann lived on a farm south of Bristow all their married life. Together they raised sheep, hogs and cattle. Dale formed a partnership with his brother Richard to farm the family farm along with Dale’s.

Later in life, Dale enjoyed woodworking and doing craftwork with his wife. If we ever needed to find him, we knew to look in the tool shed. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and giving them rides on the tractor. Dale was a quiet, hard working man with a love for his family and a passion for farming. He was a member of the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church in Dumont.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Eisentrager of Bristow, son Frank Eisentrager & fiancee, Brenda Ballard of Greene, daughter Tammy & husband Brent Eilers of Danville, Indiana, son Doug & wife Deb Eisentrager of Dumont, daughter Dee & husband Darol Roth of Waverly, sister Phyllis & husband Harold Harms of Dumont, brother Richard & wife Esther Eisentrager of Dumont, sister Beverly & husband Henry Folken of Parkersburg, sister Sharon & husband Nathan Eilers of Hampton, brother-in-law Leroy Cassmann of Hampton, grandchildren; Josh & wife Janae Eisentrager, Jeremy Eisentrager & fiancee Allyson Hutzel, Kayla & Janae Eilers, Danielle & David Eisentrager, Matthew & Daniel Roth. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Lucille & Dorothy and two brothers Glenn & Earl.

Ercil Lynn McWilliams

Ercil Lynn McWilliams, 75, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at his home in Dumont. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Aredale Center of the United Methodist Church in Aredale. Burial took place in the Dumont Cemetery. Pastor Larry Pauley officiated the service.

He was born on June 24, 1934, in Aredale, Iowa, to Alfred and Velma (Ebling) McWilliams. Ercil graduated from Dumont Community School. He was united in marriage to Sylvia Silver on January 25, 1961, in Aredale, she preceded him in death. Ercil then married Mary Lou Buls on June 21, 1997, in Greene. He was in the United States National Guard and the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959. Ercil was a farmer, he worked in the County Assessors office in Allison with Wayne Zimmerman as a field appraiser and delivered Winnebagos from 1983 to 2009. He was on the Butler County Board of Review, the Dumont Telephone Board and the Aredale Bank Board. Ercil was a member of the Aredale Center of the United Methodist Church, the Lions Club and the Round Grove Country Club in Greene. He enjoyed Bluegrass music and Bluegrass weekends, tennis and softball in Arizona, traveling and visiting all fifty states and several foreign countries and riding his motorcycle. Ercil especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, his daughters Sheri McWilliams (Willie Dawson) and Shayna (Gary) Franken, step-daughters Judi (Kenny) Arjes and Joan (Don) Heuer, grandchildren Brent Weichers, Quincy, Tiffani, Morgan, Cecily and Tatiana McWillams and Shawn Franken, step- grandchildren Kate (Brian) Graham, Kelly Arjes, Erin Heuer and Lucas Heuer, great-grandchildren Mya McWilliams, Aleesia McWilliams-Booth and Xavier McWilliams, step great-grandchildren Shelby Sandoval, Austin Graham and Caleb Graham, sister Loyce (Bob) McCarter, step-sister Myrtle Felkner and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ercil was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia McWilliams in 1996, son Eric McWilliams in 1989, parents Alfred McWilliams and Velma Byers, step-mother Florence McWilliams and brothers Corliss and Max McWilliams.

Eileen Fuerstenberg

Eileen Fuerstenberg, 87, of Clarksville, formerly of Waverly, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Community Nursing Home in Clarksville.

Eileen was born June 24, 1922, on the family farm outside of Waverly, the daughter of Harvey and Emma (Gamn) Iserman. She was baptized June 24, 1923, at the Warren Evangelical Church, and confirmed her faith on June 9, 1944, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waverly. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1940 and received her teacher’s certificate from the Iowa State Teachers College in 1941. On March 9, 1944, she was united in marriage to Wendell J. Fuerstenberg in the Warren Evangelical Church. The couple farmed together for numerous years on their farm east of Waverly. Eileen was a teacher in one of the local rural schools for two years and later was a cook at Wartburg College in Waverly until her retirement. In 1963, Wendell started the Fuerstenberg Trucking business. Eileen assisted Wendell with the trucking business as well as the duties on the farm. The couple raised ponies and saddle horses for many years and enjoyed traveling with the animals for various parades, rides, and events. Wendell and Eileen were both members of the Dairy Spot Trail Riders. Wendell passed away February 7, 1982.

A couple years after Wendell passed away Mel Cassmann entered Eileen’s life. This longtime friendship involved going to auctions, traveling, and sharing duties on the acreage. The acreage was sold in 1993 and the couple then moved to Clarksville. Eileen entered the Community Nursing Home in Clarksville in 2007.

Survivors include her four children; Roger Fuerstenberg of Davenport, Annette Petersen of Willisburg, Kentucky, Ronald (Jeanne) Fuerstenberg of Plainfield, Wendy (Harold) Gilbert of Keokuk; grandchildren, Jeremy Gilbert, Joshua (Stephanie) Fuerstenberg, Jamie Gilbert, Brandon (Tiffany) Fuerstenberg, Jacob Gilbert; great grandchildren, Marissa and Josie Fuerstenberg; adopted grandchildren, Christina and Alexandria Figueroa; sisters, Maxine (Helmuth) Brase and Cleo Marlin Menzll; special friend, Mel Cassmann of Grundy Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wendell; son, Jerald Fuerstenberg; brothers, Chuck and Paul Iserman.

Marjorie F. Thorne

Marjorie Fannie Thorne, age 83, of Allison, Iowa, was born January 5, 1927, the daughter of Joe and Kate (Miller) Eckhoff at home in rural New Hartford, Butler County, Iowa. She received her education in the New Hartford Schools.

Marjorie was united in marriage with James Arthur Thorne on February 22, 1946, in the home of her parents, Joe and Kate Eckhoff in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in the Austinville, Parkersburg, Aplington and Allison areas. After they retired from farming, they moved into Allison.

Marjorie was a homemaker and helped with the farming. She was also a Certified Nurse’s Aide, and worked for 31 years at the nursing home in Allison where she retired in 2003.

Marjorie was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Allison where she was a member of the Ladies Circle and helped with soup suppers and funeral lunches. She was also a contact person on the church prayer chain. She loved to be outdoors working with her garden and flowers, especially her roses. She enjoyed family reunions and Figure 8 Races. Most of all, she enjoyed watching and spending time with her grandchildren.

Marjorie died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa, of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Thorne on September 26, 1999; one granddaughter, Nicole Thorne; one sister, Bernice Beenken; and an infant brother.

Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Judy (Raymond) Kuiper, Lewiston, Minnesota; four sons, Dale (Kenyan) Thorne, Phoenix, Arizona, Darrell Thorne, Allison, Iowa, David (Kelly) Thorne, Allison, Iowa, Dennis (Brenda) Thorne, Allison, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, JoAnn (Robert) Spencer, Faulkner, Iowa.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Trinity Reformed Church, Allison, Iowa with Rev. Jack Ritsema from Washington Reformed Church officiating. Keyboardist was Delores Hoodjer. Vocalist Sandy Ritsema sang "Next Time We Meet". Congregational Hymns were "Just As I Am" and "In the Garden". Casketbearers were her grandsons Joseph Thorne, Daniel Thorne, Nick Thorne, Ben Thorne, David Becker, Michael Thorne and Jeff Kuiper. Honorary Casketbearers were Tyler Thorne, Angie Van Ellen, Deb Ties, Rachel Thorne, Renae Romero, Jordyn Thorne and Heather Becker.

David Bellows, age 22, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Parkersburg, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Highway 30 near Cedar Rapids, Iowa

A Funeral Mass for Cecilia Maxson, 101, of 11th St. Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, was held Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greene, with Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Greene. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas conducted a Rosary Service at followed by a Scriptural Wake Service.

Kevin Jennings Collins, 47, of Hubert, North Carolina, formerly of Oelwein, Iowa, passed away March 7, 2010, at the Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the Dumont Reformed Church in Dumont, Iowa. Reid Neve


Reid Neve, 83, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at LaVerna Village in Savannah, Missouri. Memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15 at the First Lutheran Church.

Reid was born on July 29, 1926 in Beresford, South Dakota to Anders V. and Dora L. Neve.

He graduated from Dana College and Trinity Seminary in Blair, Nebraska. Ried served in the United States Navy and was a Parish Pastor and Chaplain in Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado. Following his retirement he served as an interim and visiting pastor, and was a major fundraiser with Habitat for Humanity.

Ried was an active member of Lord of Love Lutheran Church and a member of their brass ensemble, Omaha, Nebraska and a member of the First Lutheran Church, St. Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Aster, Paul and Alton Neve; two sisters, Marlyn Nyegaard and Ruth Petajan.

Ried married Eunice E. Petersen on June 2, 1948 in Ruskin, Nebraska. She survives at the home.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Juel Pierce (Jim), St. Joseph, Missouri, Deb McWhirter (Dave), Allison, Iowa, Pat Tinnel (Jack), Kansas City, Missouri, Susan Hettinger (Charles), Westminster, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Sarah Pierce, Matt Tinnel (Jenny), Elizabeth Pierce (Christian), Nick Tinnel (Sarina), Ross McWhirter (Jenny), Dana and Lisa Hettinger; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Pierce, Madelyn McWhirter, John Jack Tinnel; one brother, Lloyd Neve, Blair, Nebraska.

The family suggests memorials to Habitat for Humanity, Dana College or Hands of Hope Hospice.


Dorothy L. Erickson

Dorothy L. Erickson, 78, of Bradford, Iowa, passed away March 10, 2010, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.

Kevin Jennings Collins, 47, of Hubert, North Carolina, formerly of Oelwein, Iowa, passed away March 7, 2010, at the Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, Iowa.

Virgil C. Renn

Virgil C. Renn, 86, of Clarksville, Iowa, and formerly of Waverly, died Thursday afternoon, March 18, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, of natural causes.

Virgil was born on November 21, 1923, in rural Waverly, Iowa, the son of Earl and Lillian (Carson) Renn. Virgil attended school in Waverly, graduating in 1942, from the Waverly High School. On February 16, 1943, Virgil entered the U.S. Army, where he served during WWII with the 163rd Infantry in the New Guinea and Southern Philippines campaigns. Following his honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant on January 9, 1946, he returned to Waverly. Virgil then began working in sales at the Gamble Hardware Store and later for Niewohner Hardware.

On May 3, 1952, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Stille at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple made their home in Waverly, where Virgil continued to work at Niewohner Hardware until he began working as a night Security Guard for Wartburg College, retiring in 1985. In 1996, Virgil and Dorothy moved to Clarksville.

Virgil was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, rural Clarksville, a member of the Clarksville AMVETS Post #30, Waverly V.F.W. Post #2208 and a life member of the Greene American Legion Post #268 and the Waverly American Legion Post #176. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, dancing and watching T.V. But what gave Virgil the most joy was spending time with his family and being a part of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.

Virgil is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Dorothy Renn of Clarksville; his four children and their spouses, Carla (Gene) Miller of Plainfield, Dean (Deb) Renn of Waverly, Holly (Richard) Hinders of Clarksville and Terri (Yance) Jones of Clarksville; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one sister, Inez McCumber of Waverly and a sister-in-law, Caroline Renn of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Tiffanie Hinders (Oct. 4, 1981); one grandson, Jeremiah Miller (Oct. 8, 1998); and three brothers, Lester in infancy, Irvin and Reynolds Renn.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 22, 2010, at Unity Presbyterian Church, rural Clarksville, with Pastor Stephen Keve officiating. Burial was in St. John’s United Church of Christ, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Nashua, with military graveside rites conducted by the Greene American Legion Post #268. Pearl Rottink Hoodjer Pace

Pearl Pace passed away on March 4, 2010 at the Grinnell Regional Hospital. She was 96. Pearl was born September 28, 1913 at Probisher, Canada to Lulu W. Elliott Rottink & Horace E. Rottink. She had 2 brothers, Paul and Roy; 3 sisters Alta, Frances, and Neva. When she was 2 years old the family moved to Iowa; when she was 5 the family moved to North Dakota where she attended school for 10 years.

In 1928 the family returned to Iowa.

On June 9, 1934 she married Lester Hoodjer in Clarksville, Iowa. To this union they had 5 children Donald (m-Colleen Oestereich-deceased) (m-Carol Troutman) of Colorado Springs, Co; Merlin (Mary) of Nashua Iowa; La Vonne Chapman (m-Allen-deceased) of Brooklyn, Iowa; Norma Jean Clawson Bell (m-Harry-deceased) (Ralph) of Phoenix AZ; and Patricia Taylor Klein (m-Dick-deceased) (Richard) of Grinnell, Iowa. Lester deceased on Dec 13, 1960. On July 19, 1965 she married Robert Pace of Blair WI. They farmed in Blair until they moved to Milan Mo in 1970. She was a Sunday school teacher and president of the Ruth Circle in Blair.

She was active in the Methodist Church in Milan and worked as a seamstress for many years. She and Bob retired and moved to Brooklyn Iowa in 1991 to be near her daughters.

She resided in the Brooklyn Community Estates. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, both Lester and Robert and her sons-Donald and Merlin. She is survived by her daughters-LaVonne, Norma Jean, and Patricia; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She will have her memorial service at the Grace Methodist Church in Brooklyn Iowa on April 3, and be laid to rest at the Shell Rock Riverside Cemetery on May 29.

Doyle Bausman, age 76, of Parkersburg, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at his home in Parkersburg, Iowa, from natural causes.

A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Pastor Betsy Piette from Parkersburg United Methodist Church officiating.

Inturnment will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Doyle.

Florence Margaret Meyne

Funeral services for Florence Meyne were held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene, with Pastor Gary Hatcher officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene.

Florence Margaret Barrick was born April 12, 1911, at Newville, PA, a daughter of Addison and Anna (Foster) Barrick and died March 14, 2010 at the Allison Health Care Center.

She received her education in country schools near Newville, PA. She moved to Iowa in 1932. Florence was united in marriage to Eldo Meyne on September 1, 1936, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. This union was blessed with one son, Fred. The family lived on their farm southwest of Greene until her husband’s death on November 29, 1977 when she moved into town.

Florence was baptized and confirmed as a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene on March 22, 1940. She was a member of the Vision Circle, Women’s Club, Coldwater Community Club and Birthday Club.

She worked nine years for the Mather’s Nursing Home. She was a good volunteer, liked to garden and work with her flowers, crafts, crocheting and quilting. Florence will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking.

Florence was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great -grandchildren and attended many of their school activities.

Living family members include one son: Fred (Lois) Meyne of Greene; Grandson: Dan of Greene, Granddaughter: Judy (Steve) Otto of Aredale; Great-grandchildren: Dustin (Carissa) Otto of Corydon, IA, Jesse (Samantha) Otto of Parkersburg, Alex Otto of Aredale; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eldo, her parents, three sisters: Nora Yoke, Girty Tritt, and Emma Myers all of PA; 5 brothers: Clarence, Amos, Ira, all of IA, John and infant brother, Calvin of PA.

Roger "Pete" Shultz

Roger "Pete" Shultz, 78, of Allison, Iowa, passed away March 21, 2010, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa.

He was born on March 29, 1931, in Allison, Iowa, to Phillip E. and Leota (Bettesworth) Shultz. Roger graduated from Allison High School. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Ann Ressler on March 29, 1953, in Allison.

Roger served his country during the Korean War as a United States Marine. He was a barber for many years and he also sold insurance. Roger was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, the Allison Amvets and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and taking his 1947 Buick Convertible to numerous car shows, parades and other special occasions. Roger’s family was the most important part of his life.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn "Peg" Shultz of Allison; daughter Karen (Duane) Strempke of West Des Moines; sons Ted (Rita) Shultz of Lake View, Alabama, Tom (Susie) Shultz of Jefferson City, Missouri and David (Sweetie) Shultz of Lawson, Missouri; granddaughter Emily (Tyler) Kamish of Ankeny; grandsons Mark (Shelah) Strempke of Kailua, Hawaii and Billy Shultz of Springfield, Missouri; great-grandchildren Connor Kamish and Kinley Strempke; brother Robert (Jean) Shultz and brother-in-law Robert (Edith) Ressler.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 24, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Pastor Mark Baldwin officiated the service.

Organist was Robin Morton, and Soloist was Kelli Wangsness. Pallbearers were Mark Strempke, Billy Shultz, Tyler Kamish, Jay Shultz, Dana Shultz, and Ross Grafft. Honorary Pallbearers were Keith Rindels, Bill Wix, and Darwin Wubbena. Burial was held in the Allison Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or St. James Lutheran Church Organ Fund.

Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
