Harry Eckhoff, 84, of Allison, Iowa, passed away November 2, 2009, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa. He was born May 16, 1925, in rural Parkersburg, Iowa, to Egbert and Gertrude (Mehmen) Eckhoff. Harry attended country school in rural Butler County in the Aplington area.

Paul D. Hinders, age 80, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born De-cember 11, 1928, in rural Clarks-ville, Iowa, the son of Fred and Minnie (Wildeboer) Hinders. He attended country school in Butler County.

Ronald Milius, age 79, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born Au-gust 15, 1930, the son of Louis and Ella Boeckmann Milius in Black Hawk County, Iowa. He attended country school at Doug-las #7 and when his family moved to Tripoli, he attended high school there.

Viola Weber

Viola Weber, age 99, of Roseville, Minnesota, formerly of Stout, Iowa, died Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, from natural causes.
Funeral Services were held Monday, November 9, 2009, at the Stout Gospel Hall in Stout with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg.
Memorials may be directed to the Family of Viola.


Daniel Miller

Daniel Miller, age 76, of Ap-lington, Iowa, was born July 6, 1933, near Aplington in Butler County, Iowa, the son of Bert and Tillie (Alberts) Miller. He re-ceived his education at the Ripley Township country school and in the Aplington School. He served his country in the United States Army from September 1953 until September 1955.

Gary Lee Hansen

Gary L. Hansen, 70, of Allison died November 5, 2009 at the Allison Manor Nursing Home in Allison. Memorial services were held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the United Church of Christ in Allison. Cremation So-ciety of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family.

Betty Lou Irish of Jesup, IA, and formerly of Waterloo, IA, died early Thursday, November 5, 2009, at West Village Care Center in Independence, IA fol-lowing a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, No-vember 7, 2009, at the Spirit of Faith Family Church, 4070 22nd Ave. S.W., Cedar Rapids, IA with Pastor Jay Eberly officiat-ing. Edna K. Garner
Edna K. Garner, 89, of Charles City, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Elizabeth Martin Health Care Center, Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls.
Funeral services for Edna Garn-er were held Monday, November 23, at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Margaret Hutchens of the First Christian Church and Pastor Phil Corr of the First Congregational Church officiated. Burial was in Harling-ton Municipal Cemetery, Waverly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Home Health Care, or Comprehensive Systems.
The Hauser Funeral Home, (641) 228-2323, www.hauserfh.com, in Charles City, was in charge of arrangements.

Walter L. “Curly” Schell
Walter L. Schell, age 90, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born Jan-uary 14, 1919, the son of William and Laura Andrews Schell in Lyleton, Manatoba, Canada. His mother was six months pregnant with him when his father, William passed away. She married George Finley and he was the only Dad he knew. The family moved to North Dakota when he was six years of age. Walter received his education in the Antler, North Dakota school.
