Wanda Martin

December 21, 2011

Wanda Elaine Martin, 84, formerly of Hampton and Dows, died on Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, as the result of a car/pedestrian accident.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, December 19, at the North Grand Christian Church in Ames, with Brs. Bob Martin and Bill Hauser officiating. Local graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, December 19, at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton. Following the graveside service, the family will meet at the Hampton Church of Christ, Hampton, to visit with friends and family. The Vigen Memorial Home and Crematory, Keokuk, was in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley Borcherding

Shirley A. Borcherding, 79, of Latimer, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at the Kavanagh House, Des Moines.

Funeral services were held on Monday, at at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Latimer. Burial takes place in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Latimer, with the Rev. Marvin Lorenz officiating. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Norval Korth

December 21, 2011

Norval Vance Korth, 63, of Hampton, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Spencer Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, in the Fellowship Hall of the Hampton United Methodist Church. A private, family burial will be held in the Alexander Cemetery. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Homes was in charge of the arrangements.

December 21, 2011

Lola J. McKee, 86, of Clarksville, formerly of Aredale, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Floyd County Medical Center, Charles City.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, December 21, at the Aredale United Methodist Church. Visitation was on Tuesday, December 20, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Dumont. Burial was in the West Fork Cemetery, rural Sheffield.

Dale Crawford

December 28, 2011

Dale Crawford, 70, formerly of Hampton and Rockwell, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011, at Kavanagh on 56th.

Services were held on Thursday, December 22. at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Visitation was one hour prior to the services. Ralph Kramer

January 4, 2012

Ralph Kramer, 94, of Sheffield, formerly of Rockwell, died on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Sheffield Care Center.

Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, December 27, at the Deerfield Assisted Living in Sheffield. Upon Ralph’s wishes, he was cremated and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or Deerfield Place, in Ralph Kramer’s name.

Gladys Maxine Peters, 91, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 28, at 10:30 a.m., at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will take place in the Oakland Cemetery in Manchester, Iowa. Pastor Arthur Zewert will officiate.

Blair E. Noelting, 55, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at his home in rural Aredale.

Funeral services were held on Friday December 30, at the Church of the Living Word in Hampton. Visitation was on Thursday, December 29, at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont. Burial was in the Dumont Cemetery. Erran Miller officiated at the service.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, Mason City. Rev. Brent Hamilton of the Grace and Wesley United Methodist Churches officiated. Interment was in the Way Side Cemetery in Chapin. Visitation was from 5-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 3, at the Major Erickson Funeral Home.
