p.m., at the Sietsema-Vogel
Funeral Home, Hampton. Funeral
services will be held on
Saturday, January 5, at 10:30
a.m., at the Hampton United
Methodist Church, with burial in
the Hampton Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be given
to the Cale Wood Johnson & Penny
Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Fund.

Murder-Suicide Claims
Hampton Couple
January 9, 2002
When the
Hampton Police
Department and the
Franklin County
Sheriff's Department
arrived at the scene of
a reported domestic
dispute at 1014 First
Street NW, at
approximately 6:10 p.m.
Friday, they found the
bodies of Gordon
Woltjer, 37, and Angela
DeVries-Woltjer, 32, in
the basement, victims of
an apparent
murder-suicide.
According to the Hampton
Police Department,
Gordon Woltjer, a truck
driver for Smith Motor
Express, Inc., based in
Fort Dodge, apparently
shot his wife, Angela
who operated a day care
in the couple's home,
before turning the gun
on himself.
Franklin
County Medical Examiner
Dr. Keith Hansen
pronounced both victims
dead at the scene, and
an autopsy performed
Saturday confirmed that
both victims died of
gunshot wounds.

Nursing Care Center.

be held on Saturday, January 12,
at 10:30 a.m. at the
