Florence
Gene Thompson, 74, of Kanawha, died from
complications of a heart condition on Tuesday,
July 3, 2001, at the Desert Samaritan Hospital
in Mesa, Arizona.
Memorial
services were held on Monday, July 9, at 10:30
a.m., at the Kanawha Lutheran Church in Kanawha,
with Rev. Dr. William H. Breen Interim Pastor,
officiating.
Florence is
survived by her son, Doug and his
wife, Barb Thompson of Kanawha; daughters,
Corrine "Connie" and her husband, Craig Watne of
Belmond, Mona and her husband, Mark Peller of Mesa, Arizona and Kris and
her husband, Dave Mehmen of West Des Moines.
She is also survived by her grandchildren,
Adam and Aaron Thompson of Kanawha, Jeremy Watne
and his wife, Jennifer of Avon, Indiana,
Michelle Watne of Schaumburg, Illinois, Andrea
and Rachael Watne of Belmond, Danielle and
Rachel Peller of Mesa Arizona, Alex and Brandon
Scott of West Des Moines; and
step-grandchildren, Dave Mehmen Jr., US Army,
Steph Mehmen of West Des Moines and Dan Mehmen
of Indianola.
