Bertha A.
Foster, 79, of Britt, passed away on Saturday,
August 4, 2001, at the Muse Norris Hospice
Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Memorial services were held on Saturday,
August 11, at 2:00 p.m., at the Ewing Funeral
Home in Britt, with Pastor Dave Wiersbe
officiating. Music was provided by organist,
Carol Schmidlkofer and soloist, Jay Burgardt.
Honorary casketbearers were Robert Crockett,
John Crockett, Jeff Johnson, Wray Gabelmann,
Jason Martin, Jayson Anderson and Rick Thompson.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in
Britt.
Bertha is
survived by four daughters, Judy Crockett of
Ankeny, Janet Johnson and her husband, Leonard
of Des Moines, Jeanne Martin and her husband,
John of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Joan O'Connell and
her husband, Harley of Cedar Falls; 10
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Dorothea Wieland Erickson and her
husband, Glenn of Clear Lake.

Sherry Rae Kubly, 56, of rural Livermore, died suddenly on
Monday, August 6, 2001, at her home.
Funeral
services were held on Thursday, August 9, at the
Zion Lutheran Church in LuVerne with Pastor
Clyde Kieschnick officiating.
Sherry is
survived by her husband, John of Livermore; and
her children, Tony Kubly and wife, Paula of
Kanawha, Tami Wingert and husband, Dana of
Waukee, Tina Schlemme and husband, Lyle of
Humboldt and Tom Kubly of Lakewood, Colorado.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Andrew,
Kaitlin, and Madison Kubly, Brandon, Levi and
Taylor Wingert and Alexa Schlemme.

Raymond Lloyd
Nelson, 88, of Britt, passed away on Tuesday,
August 7, 2001, at the Westview Care Center in
Britt.
Funeral
services were held on Friday, August 10, at the
United Methodist Church in Britt, with Helen R.
McLaughlin officiating.
Ray is
survived by four daughters, Ripple and her
husband, Keith Van Engen of Des Moines, Ava
Nelson of Palm Harbor, Florida, Lissa and her
husband, Michael Honken of Waukee and Rita and
her husband, Steven Fett of Wesley; four
granddaughters, Jessica and her husband, Kyle,
Casey, Sierra, and Kathryn; one great-grandson,
Knicholas; and one sister, Ardis Nelson of
Britt.
