Mary E. Nation,
age 55, of Osage, formerly of
Stewartville, Minnesota, died on
Saturday, March 3, 2007, after a
lengthy illness at the Mitchell
County Regional Health Center in
Osage, Iowa.
Funeral services
for Mary will be held at 2:00
p.m., on Wednesday, March 7,
2007, at the First Baptist
Church in Stewartville. Rev.
Curly Werth and Rev. Darrell
Mohler of the Victory Baptist
Church in Rochester, Minnesota,
will officiate with burial
following in the Union Cemetery
in Pleasant Grove, Minnesota.
Friends may call from 4-8:00
p.m., on Tuesday, March 6, at
the Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in
Stewartville, Minnesota and one
hour prior to the service at the
church on Wednesday afternoon.
Mary was born on
August 18, 1951, at the family
farm-house in rural
Stewartville, Minnesota,
daughter of Arthur and Beverly
Noble. Mary grew up on the
family farm and attended school
in and graduated from the
Stewartville High School.
Mary E. Noble was
married on May 7, 1994 in
Stewartville, to Arnold L.
Nation. Following their marriage
the Nations lived in Leroy,
Minnesota, before moving to
Osage, in 2004.
She is a former
employee of both the
Stewartville Care Center and
Lake Center Industries in
Stewartville. Mrs. Nation worked
at Hormel in Austin until
retiring due to her illness. Mr.
Nation retired after serving 26
years in the U.S. Army.
She enjoyed baking,
cross-stitching, textile
painting, reading and spending
time with her family. Mary was a
member of the Christian
Missionary and Alliance Church
in Osage.
She was preceded
in death by her mother, Mildred;
and a niece.
Survivors include
her husband; parents, Arthur
(Beverly) Noble of Stewartville,
Minnesota; children, Sharon
(Dan) Preuss of Racine,
Minnesota, Darend Yetter of
Rochester, Minnesota, Darwin
(Sarah) Yetter of Racine,

MASON
CITY-Willmer Glen Ingersoll, 78,
of Mason City, died on Thursday,
March 8, 2007, at the Mercy
Medical Center-North Iowa in
Mason City.
Funeral services
were held at 10:30 a.m., on
Monday, March 12, at the St.
James Lutheran Church in Mason
City, with Rev. Jeni Bohls
officiating. Burial was in the
Oakwood Cemetery in Plymouth,
with military rites by the Manly
American Legion Post No. 110.
Willmer Glen
Ingersoll, the son of Frank and
Emma (Krueger) Ingersoll, was
born on June 25, 1928 at
Plymouth. He attended school at
Rock Falls. Glen served his
country in the U.S. Army as a
medic from January of 1952 to
January of 1954. Following his
honorable discharge, he returned
home to Plymouth and farmed.
On June 14, 1954, he was married
to Mary Majewski at Plymouth.
They farmed near Little Cedar
where they raised their two
daughters, Cindy and Nancy. In
1994, Mary passed away.
On June 6, 1999 Glen married
Delores Daugard at the First
Lutheran Church in Britt. They
made their home near Mason City.
Glen enjoyed spending time with
his grandchildren, dancing,
gardening, playing the harmonica
and was an avid boxing fan.
He was a member
of the St. James Lutheran Church
in Mason City and was active in
the Mason City Senior Center.
He was preceded
in death by his first wife,
Mary; his parents; a brother and
sister in infancy; two sisters,
Elaine Deets and Elsie
Ingersoll; and two brothers,
Everett and Wayne Ingersoll.
Glen is survived
by his wife, Delores of Mason
City; two daughters, Cindy
(Jerry) Hoffman of Little Cedar
and Nancy (Joel) Rollins of
Claremont, Minnesota; three
grandsons, Shaun Hoffman and
Cole and Clay Rollins; his
parents-in-law, Andy and Mildred
Majewski of Nora Springs; five
step-children, Laurie (Sam)
Athanasiou of Garner, Kenny
(Pam) Russell of Lee Center,
Minnesota, Jeff (special friend,
Laurie) Dahle of Britt, Kevin
(Kathy) Dahle of Benbrook, Texas
and Shelly (Brad) Frein of
Garner; 11 step-grandchildren;
three step-great-grandchildren;
four sisters, Naomi Ingersoll of
Plymouth, Leola Wilde of St.
Ansgar, Irene Bublitz of Charles
City and Fay (Dave) Thompson of

Glen was a
wonderful husband, father,
grandpa, and brother. He will be
dearly missed by everyone.

memorial service for Samuel
Joseph Repp, 55, of Tucson, will
be held at the Tanque Verde
Lutheran Church, at 10:30 a.m.,
on Wednesday, March 21, 2007.
A graduate of the
Shattuck Military Academy,
Fairbault, Minnesota, Sam earned
his BA at the U of A, and his
Masters at KU. While at the U of
A he worked as a Tucson police
officer. Upon graduation he
joined the Army and served 14
years. Sam was a Major in
Special Forces (Green Beret) and
a Russian Foreign Area Officer.
Sam's passions were his family,
his motorcycles, scuba diving,
skydiving, and languages. He
will be greatly missed by his
family and friends.
He is survived by
his loving wife, Melita;
children, Dana and John (Lexie);
his parents, John and Violet;
brother, John (Nancy) Repp;
sister, Sara (Steve) Davidson;
nieces, Sue (Scott) and Peggy
Repp; great-nieces, Barbara and
Samantha Thompson; and
great-nephew, Nicholas Brennan.

Clara Mae Moser

Clara Mae Moser, 79, of Elkader,
died on Friday, March 9, 2007,
at Manor Care in Davenport,
Iowa, following a long illness.
A Mass of
Christian Burial was held on
Monday, March 12, 2007, at 11:00
a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Elkader. The Rev. John
Moser and Rev. Paul Peters
officiated. Burial followed in
the St. Joseph Catholic
Cemetery, Elkader.
Clara was born on
January 26, 1928 in rural
Elkader, to Joseph and Theresa
(Schaefers) Wille. On June 22,
1948, she was united in marriage
to Stanley Moser at the St.
Joseph's Catholic Church,
Garnavillo. Five children were
born to this union.
Clara worked for
the Clayton County Adult
Handicapped Program in the
1970's, located at the Clayton
County Care Facility. She
continued working with the
handicapped at Rise LTD. from
its beginning in 1980 until 2001
when she had a stroke.
She enjoyed and
loved her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. Cats were
one of her favorites. Clara
loved to grow and care for roses
and she cared for many rose
bushes while living 32 plus
years on an acreage west of
Elkader. She enjoyed being
outside mowing the lawn, picking
strawberries and raspberries and
freezing many quarts every
summer. Clara lived to "fish".
When she went fishing, it was
always "one more worm then I'll
quit".
She was preceded
in death by her parents; one
sister, Sr. Josanne Wille, FSPA;
and three other siblings in
infancy.
Survivors include
her husband, Stanley Moser of
Elkader; five children, Daniel

Anna (Williams) Hackbarth, 91 of
St. Ansgar, died on Sunday,
March 11, 2007, at the Mitchell
County Regional Health Center,
Osage.
Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, March 15, at 1:00
p.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran
Church, St. Ansgar, with Rev.
Dr. Byron Northwick officiating.
Interment will be in the
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St.
Ansgar. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the services at
the church.
Ruth was born on
August 7, 1915 at Little Cedar,
Iowa, the daughter of Jennie and
Anton Williams. She was baptized
on September 18, 1915, at Our
Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage
and confirmed on February 19,
1939, at Immanuel Lutheran
Church. Ruth attended the Little
Cedar School until the eighth
grade when her family moved to
St. Ansgar. After graduation
from high school she worked as a
telephone operator.
She married Harland (Pete)
Hackbarth on October 26, 1940 at
Kirksville, Missouri. They lived
in Los Angeles, California,
until 1946 when they moved back
to St. Ansgar. She again was a
telephone operator until
becoming a bookkeeper for the
St. Ansgar State Bank from which
she retired.
She was active in
the Immanuel Lutheran Church,
being Sunday School Secretary
and Treasurer almost 50 years.
She enjoyed her family,
especially her
great-grandchildren, and enjoyed
working in her flower garden.
Ruth and Peter were known for
remembering shut-ins and friends
with cards, visits and gifts of
"goodies".
Preceding her in
death were her parents;
brothers, Clifford (infant) Paul
and Henry; sisters, Ala Milton
and Irene Bublitz;
step-brothers, Morris and Arthur
Williams; and step-sister, Laura
Klemesrud.
Ruth is survived
by her husband, Harland (Pete);
children, Jannelle Francis and
Camille (Richard) Jeffers;
grandchildren, Jennifer (John)
Kisley, Jeffrey (Shawna)
Francis, Michelle (Andy)

Brad Erlen Nelson

JEFFERSON,
Iowa-Brad E. Nelson, age 50, of
Jefferson, passed away on
Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
Funeral services were held on
Monday, March 19, 2007, at 11:00
a.m., at the First United
Methodist Church in Jefferson,
with interment in the Jefferson
Cemetery. Graveside military
rites were performed by VFW Post
2963, Jefferson.
Brad Erlen
Nelson, son of Erling (Bud) and
Arleen (Lagervall) Nelson, was
born on January 15, 1957 in
Cedar Falls, Iowa. He graduated
from the Jefferson High School
in 1975. Brad entered the United
States Navy in October 1975 and
served as a Cryptology
Technician/Linguist in Chinese
and Polish, until his retirement
in November 1995.
He was united in marriage on
August 16, 1990, to Tina Lavonne
Trussell. The couple began their
life together in Korea, and were
stationed in Italy and Maryland
until their return to Jefferson
in 2000. Brad completed a degree
in Information Technology in
2006 and embarked on his second
career.
Brad was a
lifetime member of the Jefferson
VFW Post 2963. One of Brad's
greatest pleasures was
performing with his family at
RenFaire, a festival that
provided him a great deal of joy
as he took on the character of
King Oberon. His most recent
community involvement was
portraying Father Christmas at
Victorian festivals in Iowa.
Brad is survived
by his wife of 16 years, Tina;
and four children, Meri and Jon
Nelson, Matt Main (all of
Jefferson) and Felicia Myers of
Maryland; and one grandchild,
Alyssia. Also left to mourn his
passing are his parents, Bud and
Arleen Nelson of Jefferson; and
his sisters, Paula (Gary) and
Rande, both of Minnesota.
His many friends, family and
RenFaire Folke will miss his
laughter, his stories and his
songs.

directed to the Jefferson Public
Library and the American Lung
Association.

Council Bluffs, died on

Bluffs.

with Pastor Dennis Hanson
officiating.
Rex was born on
October 17, 1952, to DeVere and
Katherine Jeffries. He was
baptized and confirmed at the
Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage.
Rex attended schools in Osage
and graduated from the Osage
High School. After graduation he
attended NIACC in Mason City and
then graduated from Central
College in Pella, Iowa.
He married Dianne
Brennan in Osage. They made
their home in Papillian,
Nebraska.
Rex was active in
the St. Timothy Lutheran Church,
Council Bluffs. He enjoyed
clowning, camping and life.
Preceding him in
death were his wife, Dianne;
parents, DeVere and Katherine;
and his grandparents.
Rex is survived
by his sister, Cindy Johnson of
Englewood, Colorado; and his
step-brother, Mike Nehls of
Osage.

Roland F. Dietz

OSAGE-Roland
Francis Dietz, age 85, of Osage,
died on Friday, March 16, 2007,
at the Faith Lutheran Home in
Osage.
Funeral services were held at
11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March
20, at the Champion-Bucheit
Funeral Home in Osage, with Rev.
John Moser officiating. Burial
was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery
in Osage.
Roland was born
in Crookston, Minnesota, on
November 25, 1921, the son of
Frank and Mary (Berhorst) Dietz.
He graduated from the Osage High
School in 1940. Roland worked at
the Mitchell County Memorial
Hospital for 31 years, retiring
in November 1983. He was a
member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church in Osage.
Roland was a great fan of all
sports, especially football,
basketball and baseball. His
favorite team was the Iowa
Hawkeyes and he held season
football tickets for many years.
He traveled to games in Iowa
City by bus, as well as taking
yearly month long bus trips
across the U.S. He was proud
that at one time he had attended
a baseball game at every major
league ballpark in the U.S.
Roland never saw the need for a
car or driver's license, as he
walked wherever he needed to go
in Osage.
Roland was
preceded in death by his
parents, Frank and Mary Dietz.
He will be missed by his
friends, Ross, Ann, Ryan, Randi,
Ranae and Reese Grafft, and the
Faith Lutheran Home staff and
residents.
The
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home,
Osage, was in charge of the

5 days, passed away on Sunday,
March 18, 2007, at the Lutheran
Retirement Home in Northwood,
Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at
the Immanuel Lutheran Church in
St. Ansgar on Wednesday, March
21, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., with
Rev. Dr. Byron Northwick

the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Della was born on
April 13, 1911, to George and
Elsie (Baldner) Perau in
Mitchell County, Iowa. She
attended the St. Ansgar High
School. She was a life-long
member of the Immanuel Lutheran
Church in St. Ansgar. She was
baptized on May 14, 1911 at St.
Peters Church in Toeterville, by
Rev. G. Landgrebe and confirmed
on March 28, 1926, at the
Immanuel Lutheran Church in St.
Ansgar by Rev. Paul Brammer.
She was married
to Orlo Jensen on January 26,
1936, at the Immanuel Lutheran
Church in St. Ansgar, by Rev.
Paul Brammer. They farmed north
of Osage until 1944, when they
moved to a farm north of St
Ansgar. In 1968, they retired to
their "dream home" in St.
Ansgar.
Della will be
remembered for her unselfish way
of living. She enjoyed helping
Orlo on the farm, gardening,
quilting, sewing, cooking, her
church, fishing and spending
time with her grandchildren.
Della was
preceded in death by her
parents, George and Elsie;
husband, Orlo; brothers, Orlan,
Reuben and Albin; sisters, Elda
Drunasky and Rosella Houg;
son-in-law, Gerald Hulshizer;
grandson, Scott Hulshizer;

Olga Marie
Anderson, age 93, of Orchard,
passed away on Tuesday, March
20, 2007, at the Faith Lutheran
Home in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at

2007, at the Trinity Lutheran
Church in Osage, with Rev. Bruce
Kaltwasser officiating. Burial
will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8:00 p.m.,
on Thursday, at the
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in
Osage, and will continue one
hour before services at the
church.
She was born on
May 8, 1913, at the family home
in rural Charles City, the
daughter of E. A. and Martha
(Eske) Schallock. Olga was
baptized in the Lutheran Faith
and confirmed at the St. John's
Lutheran Church in Rock
Township. Olga attended school
at the Rock Township No. 5.
She was united in marriage to
Joseph Anderson on May 7, 1939,
at the St. Ansgar Immanuel
Lutheran Church. They made their
home at Riceville where they
farmed. All their married life
they lived in Mitchell County
and had lived in Orchard for the
last 28 years. Olga moved to the
Faith Lutheran Home in September
of 2006.
She was a member of the Trinity
Lutheran Church, enjoyed doing
crafts, sewing and baking.
She was preceded
in death by her parents;
husband, Joseph; 5 brothers; 2
sisters; and a grandson.
She is survived
by her daughter, Sharon Rawn of
Osage; son, Merle Anderson and
his wife, Ann of Larwill,
Indiana; brother, Lloyd
Schallock and his wife, Phyllis
of New Haven; 2 sisters-in-law,
Eleanor Schallock of Osage and
Mary Schallock of Osage; 1

Maxine R. Stille,
age 82, of Osage, died on
Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at
the Mitchell County Regional
Health Center-Hospice Unit in
Osage.
Funeral services will be held at
10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March
24, 2007, at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Osage, with
the Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev.
Roy Ott officiating. Burial will
be in the Ell Township Cemetery
in Klemme. Visitation is from
6-8:00 p.m., on Friday, at the
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in
Osage.
Maxine was born
on June 4, 1924 in Britt, the
daughter of Lewis and Clara (Michelsen)
Mau. She attended school in
Klemme and graduated from the
Klemme High School in 1942.
Maxine was united in marriage to
Bill Stille on July 12, 1945 in
Seattle, Washington. They lived
in Liberal, Kansas and then San
Antonio, Texas, until Bill was
discharged from the service in
February of 1946. They lived in
Torrance, California for a year
when Bill attended Northrop
Aeronautical Institute.
Afterwards they moved to Clear
Lake and then to Britt. On July
9, 1951 they moved to Osage.
Maxine worked at
the Sears Catalog Store in Osage
for 25 years. She was a member
of Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
where she was a member of WELCA
and had helped with the Saturday
School Program.
Maxine loved playing bridge, big
band era music, square dancing
and polka, golfing and spending
time with her friends, children,
grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; and one
brother, Lowell Mau.
Maxine is
survived by her husband, L.
William Stille of Osage; four
children, Steven W. (Marcia)

Accident claims the life
of Jermiah Dosser
March 22,
2007
Jermiah
Dosser, age 24, was
killed on Thursday
morning, near Altoona,
Iowa, when the
motorcycle he was riding
was struck from behind
by a pickup truck.
Dosser,
the son of Rick and Jody
Dosser of rural Osage,
was a 2001 graduate of
the Osage Community High
School. While in High
School Dosser
participated in
football, wrestling,
track and was member of
the OHS National Honor
Society. Jeremiah was an
All-State football and
wrestler and was
selected to the Iowa
All-Star Football Shrine
game his senior year.
According

Sheriff's Office the
accident occurred at the
intersection of Hubbell
and Broadway (NE 46th
Ave.) at approximately
5:20 a.m., on Thursday,
March 22, 2007. Dosser
was on his way to work
as he was employed at
EMC Insurance Companies,
Des Moines, Iowa. Dosser
was a Computer
Programmer.
The
accident involved a
motorcycle which was
struck from behind by a
pickup truck towing a
trailer. Preliminary
investigation of this
accident indicated the
motorcycle was stopped
at the red light facing
southwest on Hubbell
Ave. at Broadway. The
truck pulling a trailer
was also heading
southwest on Hubbell
Ave. and did not stop at
the intersection for the
red light striking the
motorcycle with the
front passenger side of
the truck.
At this
time charges are pending
the completion of the
investigation by a
Sheriff's Office
Technical Accident
Investigator.
Life
Flight was called to the
scene as well as a
second rescue unit for
the driver of the
pickup.
The
driver of the pickup has
been identified as
Richard Fuller, age 48,
from Des Moines. Fuller
was transported by
Altoona Rescue to Mercy.
The extent of his
injuries are not known
but is not believed to
be serious.

Jermiah Betten Dosser
March 29, 2007
Memorial services
for Jermiah Betten Dosser, 24,
formerly of Osage, will be held
at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March
27, 2007, at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Osage, with
Pastor Roy Ott officiating.
Jermiah, the son of Rick and
Jody Dosser of Osage, died on
Thursday, March 22, 2007, in
Altoona, from injuries sustained
in a motorcycle accident.
There is no
visitation. Jermiah's life will
continue on through others as he
was an Eye, Tissue and Organ
Donor.
Those wishing to
offer a memorial may wish to

Network or to help inner city
children through Shalom Zone
Ministries, 1909 Martin Luther
King, Jr. Parkway, Des Moines,
Iowa 50314. Jermiah did
volunteer service work at the
Shalom Zone Ministries his
freshman and sophomore years
while attending Central College,
Pella, Iowa.
Jermiah is
survived by his grandparents,
Cornelius "Kerry" and JoAnn
(Larson) Betten from the New
Hampton and Kanawha areas;
great-aunts, Lela Freesemann of
Britt, Mavis Betten of Kanawha,
Doris Shear of Kanawha and
Clarice Yarger of San Diego,
California; aunts and uncles,
Roger and Anna Betten of Grand
Terrace, California, Douglas and
Patricia Betten of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, Don and Ione
Nesheim of St. Peter, Minnesota,
Mike and Shirley Green of Balsam
Lake, Wisconsin and Gary and
Barb Dosser of Duluth,
Minnesota; as well as many
cousins.
He was preceded
in death by his
great-grandparents, Henry and
Elsie (Blank) Betten of Kanawha
and Joseph "Joe" and Ruth
(Richardson) Larson of Clarion;
grandparents, William "Bill" and
Iola (Veum) Dosser of Spring
Grove, Minnesota.
The Hamilton's
Funeral Home in Des Moines was
in charge of the cremation.
Jermiah's ashes were laid to
rest at the family marker
located in the Amsterdam
Township Cemetery, which is
located west of Kanawha, Iowa.

Bernard E. Rogers
March 29, 2007
Bernard E.
Rogers, age 91, of Osage, died
on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at
the Mitchell County Regional
Health Center in Osage.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held at 10:30 a.m., on
Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Osage, with Rev. John Moser
officiating. Burial will be in
the Sacred Heart Cemetery in
Osage, with military honors at
the grave by the Osage V.F.W.
Post 7920. Visitation is from
5-7:00 p.m., on Monday, at the
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in
Osage, with a scripture service
at 7:00 p.m.
Bernard was born
on May 9, 1915 near Osage, the
son of John "Bert" and Minnie
(Schmidt) Rogers. He graduated
from the Osage High School in
1933. Bernard served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II.
On February 1, 1949, he married
Zita Volney at the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Osage. They
farmed northwest of Osage, and
moved to Osage in 1989. Bernard
was a member of the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Osage V.F.W.,
Osage American Legion, and the
Farm Bureau. He served on the
Board of Directors of the Osage
Elevator from 1971-1980.
One of the ships that Bernard
served on during World War II
was the USS Helena, and he
enjoyed attending reunions with
his shipmates. Bernard loved
music, and knew the lyrics to
numerous songs. He also enjoyed
playing bridge, and spending
time with his family.
He was preceded
in death by his parents; one
sister, Erna Schultheis; one
brother, John Franklin Rogers;
and an infant brother, Raymond.
Bernard is
survived by his wife, Zita
Rogers of Osage; one daughter,
Marlys Rogers of Osage; one son,
Thomas Rogers of Osage; two
sisters, Ramona Howe of Butte,
Montana and Frances Kleckner of
St. Ansgar.
Funeral
arrangements were by the
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home,
Osage.

Kathie Jo (Seter) Berge

Kathie Jo (Seter)
Berge, age 43, formerly of
Osage, died on Wednesday, March
28, 2007, at the 9th Street
Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles
City, following a lengthy
illness.
Funeral services will be held at
10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March
31, 2007, at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Osage, with
Rev. R. Dawson Tornes
officiating. Burial will be in
the Orchard Cemetery. Visitation
is from 6-8:00 p.m., on Friday,
at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral
Home in Osage, and will continue
one hour before the services at
the church.
Kathie was born
on February 10, 1964 in Osage,
the daughter of Clifford and
Karren (Jacobs) Seter, Jr.
Kathie attended school in Osage
and graduated from the Osage
High School and was named Miss
Osage. She also graduated from
NIACC.
Kathie was united in marriage to
Perry Berge in September 1987,
at the Rock Creek Lutheran
Church. They later divorced. She
worked in the area until the
early 1990's, when she became
ill. Kathie had lived in Charles
City for the last 10 years.
Kathie is
survived by her son, Steve Berge
of Osage; parents, Clifford
(Carol) Seter, Jr. of Orchard; a
brother, John Seter of Orchard
and his children, Kassie and
Jacob; a half-brother, Patrick
(Jana) Trainer of Mandola,
Illinois; 4 half-sisters, Connie
(Larry) Rusmussen of Cedar
Falls, Wendy (Jack) Rash of
Raymond, Rebecca Trainer of
Charles City and Mitzi Trainer
of Mason City; 2 aunts, Mildred
(Francis) Jennings of Orchard
and Alice Zweck of Mason City; 1
uncle, James (Susie) Jacobs of
Nashua; and several nieces and
nephews
She was preceded
in death by a son, Andrew Berge
in 1999; her mother, Karren in
1977; paternal grandparents,
Clifford C. and Clara Seter,
Sr.; maternal grandparents, John
and Evelyn Jacobs; and three
aunts, Sandy Ames, Grace Janson
and Marcella Larsen.
The Champion-Bucheit
Funeral Home was in charge of
the arrangements.

James Lien Olson
March 30, 2007
James Lien Olson,
32, of Mason City, died on
Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at
his home.
Memorial services will be held
at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April
2, 2007, at the Osage Christian
and Missionary Alliance Church,
726 State Street, Osage, with
Reverend Steven M. Kellett
officiating. Inurnment will be
in the Grafton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour
prior to the service time on
Monday at the church.
James Lien Olson,
was born on May 20, 1974 in
Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son
of Ricky and Joyce (Rosendahl)
Olson. He graduated from the
Mason City High School and also
graduated from the buildings and
trade school from N.I.A.C.C. in
Mason City. James worked at
various jobs in the construction
business in the North Iowa area,
and most recently James drove a
semi-tractor trailer
He enjoyed video
games, watching football on T.V.
and was an avid Tampa Bay
Buccaneers fan, traveling, and
doing carpentry work, but his
great love and enjoyment was
spending time with his daughter,
Brooke and doing carpentry work
with his step-father, Howard
Hackbart.
Left to cherish
his memory is his mother and
step-father, Joyce (Rosendahl)
Olson-Hackbart and Howard
Hackbart of Grafton; his father,
Ricky Olson of Mason City; his
daughter, Brooke Olson of Osage;
his fiancée, Sharla Sylvester
and her children, Keya and
Keanna of Mason City;
grandmother, Phylliss Rosendahl
of Mason City; his sister and
brother, Jennifer (James) Eckman
of Garner and Michael Olson of
Mason City; his closest friends,
David and Duane Julsen of Mason
City; and aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and many
friends.
He was preceded
in death by his paternal
grandparents; maternal
grandfather; and an uncle.
