Terry L. Carr, 64, of Anita, died on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at his home.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 6, at the Congregational United Church of Christ at Anita. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Anita at a later date. The Hockenberry-Mullen Funeral Home, Anita, was in charge of the arrangements.

Wilma Polzin, 70, of Iowa Falls, died on Sunday, September 3, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Home in Holstein.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, Iowa Falls, with visitation one hour prior to service time.

James M. Simmons, 79, of Hampton, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Ardis I. Fredericks, 101, of Hampton, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Hampton Health Care Center.

Visitation is planned for Friday, September 8, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m., at the Hansell United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

William Aalderks


September 11, 2006

William "Willie" Aalderks, 74, of Aplington, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at the First Reformed Church in Aplington, Iowa. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Aplington, with full military rites provided by the Kesley AMVETS. The Redman-Schwartz Funeral Chapel, Aplington, was in charge of the arrangements.

Leona Jorgensen, 93, of Coulter, died on Thursday, September 7, 2006, at the Hampton Health Care Center, following a short illness.

Visitation is planned for Sunday, September 10, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.

Duane K. Nielsen, 73, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2006, at his home in Latimer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, September 12, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Latimer, with Pastor Tom Cofer officiating. Burial will be in the Marion Township Cemetery. Visitation is planned for Monday, September 11, from 5-7:00 p.m., at the church, and one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. William (Gretchen) Hemm, 80, passed away on Friday night, September 8, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held later in October.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m., at the West Friesland Presbyterian Church, Ackley. Burial will be in the Christian Reformed Cemetery, Ackley. Visitation is planned for Monday, September 11, from 6-8:00 p.m., at the Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley.

Walter Schroeder, 90, of Thornton, died on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, in Mason City.

Burial with full veterans honors by the Anton-Juhl Post 440 of the American Legion, will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield. Iva L. Klusmeier, 86, of Latimer, and a former mayor of that community, died on Monday, September 11, 2006, at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m., at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, Latimer. Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Coulter. Visitation is planned for Thursday, September 14, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour before the services on Friday.

Victor Lynn Steding, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at his home in Latimer, Iowa.

Funeral services for Victor Steding will be held on Friday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m., at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer with Pastor Tom Cofer officiating. Velma J. Pandil, 78, of Hampton, died on Monday, September 25, 2006, at the Franklin General Hospital.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 30, at 10:30 a.m., at the Lighhouse of Life in Hampton. A gathering will take place following the service at the Tower Center. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.
