Minda Mora Sabado, the daughter of Satrunino Sabado Sr.
and Aurora (Paray) Sabado, was born on April 30, 1961,
in Pagantucan Bukidnon, Philippines. She attend schools
there and graduated from high school at the age of 15.
Minda then went on to continue her education and
graduated from college with a degree as a pharmacist.
She worked as a pharmacist for more than 22 years. For
many years she operated her own pharmacy and skin care
retail establishment. She had also served as a
pharmacist in an American Medical Center in Saudi Arabia
during the Gulf War for five years.
Minda was a very creative and intelligent lady who
developed many of her own anti aging, skin care, and
skin lightening emolients and creams and had developed a
great business with customers in her local areas and
from great distances.
Minda was united in marriage to Rick Heginger on Sept.
18, 2007, in Garner. Following their marriage the couple
resided in Klemme where they were raising Minda's
daughter, Michell.
Minda was currently employed in retail sales at the
Dollar General Store in Belmond where she very much
enjoyed her "Dollar General family" and the many
customers she came in contact with. She was looking to
the future and the opportunities to re-kindle her
pharmacy career at some point here in the U.S. and had
been preparing to take the board requirements here.
Minda was a very caring person who always put the needs
of others before those of her own. She was a consummate
caregiver and was very devoted to her family. Her
children were very much the focus in her life and she
was heart broken when her son, Ralph, passed away at the
age of 8 years old. She was a loving and nurturing
mother to her daughter, Michell, who is currently a
senior at Belmond-Klemme High School.
Minda was very proud of her daughter and always made
sure to teach her family of the value of a good
education. She loved to tease her daughter and share in
her life. She also enjoyed the simple things in life
with her husband Rick.
Minda was a hardworking and meticulous person who loved
to provide a clean and well-kept home for her family.
She loved sunflowers and much of her home decor was
based on this love. She was a truly organized person and
very easy going. Minda enjoyed raising a garden and
attending the Agape Church in Clear Lake. She looked
forward to times of relaxation watching her favorite TV
shows such as "NCIS" and "CSI."
Those left to cherish the memory of her life include her
husband, Rick Heginger, and their daughter, Michell
Heginger, of Klemme; her mother, Aurora Sabado, of the
Philippines; and her brothers and sisters, Filipina
