Raymond A. "Casey" Donnelly

MASON CITY _ Raymond A. "Casey" Donnelly, 88, of 633 S. Maryland Ave., died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 1997) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph_s Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E., with the Rev. Carl Ries officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:30 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with a rosary said at 3 p.m., and a Scripture wake service at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Joseph_s Catholic Church or Hospice of North Iowa in memory of Ray Donnelly.

Raymond A. "Casey" Donnelly was born July 2, 1909, on a farm in Scott Township, Floyd County, to Edward P. And Margaret (Murphy) Donnelly. Ray attended school at St. Patrick_s in Dougherty. Ray married Marcella Ann Polansky on March 28, 1935, in Fort Dodge. Ray served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944-1945. Ray worked for Coca Cola for a few years, and then at James Refrigeration as a salesman for 36 years, retiring in 1975. Ray_s hobby was "people." He enjoyed people and visiting. He was a member of St. Joseph_s Catholic Church, the American Legion in Rockwell and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Donnelly of Mason City; five daughters, Mary Moreland and husband, John, of Ottumwa; Ann Marie McGuire and husband, William, of Menominee, Wis.; Ruth Feld and husband, Lyle, of Lenexa, Kan.; Sister Martha Donnelly, PBVM, of Dubuque, and Kathryn Rushing and husband, Dr. Dan, of Marshfield, Wis.; three sons, Paul Donnelly and wife, Shirley, of Payson, Ariz.; Jim Donnelly and wife, Theresa, of Phoenix, Ariz., and John Donnelly of Mason City; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eleanor Donnelly of Mason City; Mary Behr of Rockwell, and Theressa May Gannon and husband, Chuck, of Mason City; one brother, Vincent Donnelly and wife, Rosalie, of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo and Joe Donnelly; and three sisters, Rita Ploung, Sister Mary Margaret Donelly and Jane Frances in infancy.

Esther Charlotte Smith

CHARLES CITY _ Esther Charlotte Smith, 87, of Charles City, died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 1997) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Troxel officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with Alpha Delta Kappa teacher_s sorority conducting a memorial service at 4:15 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time at the church on Friday.

Memorials may be directed to the Floyd County Heart Association or the First Baptist Church.

Esther Charlotte Smith was born March 27, 1910, in Seneca Township, Kossuth County.

Survivors include cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dennis R. Harms

BELMOND _ Dennis R. Harms, 51, of Belmond, died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 1997) at the Belmond Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Dugger Ewing Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Dennis R. Harms was born April 23, 1946, in Belmond.

Survivors include his wife, Paula, of Belmond; one daughter, Stacie Anthony of Manly; one sister, Millie Thompson of Belmond; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis M. White

BURCHINAL _ Dennis "Denny" M. White, 48, of Burchinal, died Tuesday (Sept, 9, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford, with the Rev. John Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the Schumburg Funeral Home, Rockford.

The family requests memorials to either the American Diabetes Association, 3829 71st St., Suite A, Des Moines, Iowa 50322, or to the Dennis M. White Memorial Fund at the North Iowa Community Credit Union, 640 S. Federal Ave., Mason City, Iowa 50401.

Dennis "Denny" M. White was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Mason City.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne M., of Burchinal; two sons, Larry M. White and Darrin M. White, both of Nora Springs; his father, Jesse E. White of Rockford; one brother, Jerry E. White of Mason City; one sister, Linda Uker of Rockford; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

William E. Virchow

HUDSON _ William E. Virchow, 69, of Hudson, formerly of Osage, died Wednesday (Sept. 10, 1997) at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ, Reinbeck, with the Rev. Joel Love officiating. Interment will be at 2:15 p.m. at the Osage Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, and the Osage American Legion Post 278.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dahl Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and one hour prior to the service.

William E. Virchow was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Osage.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanita, of Hudson; two daughters, Vicki Jean Bicket and her husband, Tom, of Reinbeck, and Darlene Ann Kanfield of Cedar Falls; and two grandchildren, Timothy W. Bicket and Justin Virchow Kanfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mary L. Peterson

MASON CITY _ Mary L. Peterson, 73, of 11 Silver Lane, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 9, 1997) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

A memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E., with the Rev. Michael Schueller officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery following the services at the church. Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., is serving the family.

The body was cremated and there will be no visitation. The family invites friends and neighbors to their home at 11 Silver Lane following the services at the cemetery. Lunch will be served and those gathered will have a chance to express their joy at having known Mary.

Mary was born in Fort Dodge on Sept. 19, 1923, to Harold and Elverettal (Whiteford) Petersen. She spent most of her childhood and teen years in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1941, and attended the University of Iowa for two years. She later attended and graduated from AIB in Des Moines.

In 1944, Mary moved to California where she met and married Sgt. Jack Spurlock in June of 1945. After his discharge from service, they settled in Burbank, Calif., where Mary was employed by the city. Widowed in September of 1980, she continued her employment until she retired from the Burbank Police Department in early 1983.

After a story book courtship, Mary returned to Iowa to marry Robert Peterson on Sept. 14, 1983. She was welcomed into the family of Robert and the late Dorothy Peterson. In 1995, to cement the bond with her stepchildren, she adopted the four adults, becoming a mother and grandmother of seven. Her official name became Mom II.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Sister Joy Peterson of Berkeley, Calif., and Linda Todd and her husband, Lee, of Los Gatos, Calif.; two sons, Bill and his wife, Mary, of West Des Moines, and Mark and his wife, Mary, of Dassel, Minn.; grandchildren, Peter Todd and his wife, Marie, of Madison, Wis.; Adam Todd of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Shawn and Robert Peterson of West Des Moines, Casey, Katie and Luke Peterson of Dassel, Minn.; cousin, Judy Erickson and her husband, Larry, of DeKalb, Ill. and their two sons, Rick Erickson of Meridian, Idaho, and Scott Erickson and his wife, Jennifer, and two daughters, Emily and Anna, of Clive. Mary was loved and will be missed by her close friends in California and Iowa.

HAMPTON _ Leo W. Woods, 87, of Hampton, died Wednesday (Sept. 10, 1997) at the Franklin General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Wayne Dobratz officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

Leo W. Woods was born Oct. 19, 1909, in Mobile, Ill.

Survivors include his wife Alma Woods, Hampton; two sons, Jerry Woods, Hampton, and James Woods, Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Marilyn Kay Unhlenhopp, Apple Valley, Minn., and Donna Pralle, Clear Lake; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by parents, two brothers and one sister.

Roland R. Thompson

BRITT _ Roland R. Thompson, 74, of Britt, died Wednesday (Sept. 10, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Dodge officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Other arrangements are incomplete at the funeral chapel.

Margaret A. Willey

AMES _ Margaret A. Willey, 93, of 3229 Lettie, Ames, died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 1997) at the I.O.O.F. Home, Mason City.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Story Memorial Garden Cemetery, Ames.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stevens Memorial Chapel, Ames.

Margaret A. Ring was born Nov. 28, 1903, in Fort Dodge.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

George Karamitros

MASON CITY _ George Karamitros, 80, of 4 Third St. N.E., died Thursday (Sept. 11, 1997) at the Good Shepherd Health Care Center.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating.

There will be no visitation. According to George_s wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa.

George Karamitros was born Aug. 18, 1917, at Mason City, the son of Peter and Antigone (Karagianas) Karamitros. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1936.

On Sept. 18, 1951, George married Gladys Logan at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City.

George served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. In 1948, George and his brother built the Troika Club; he was employed there until 1964.

After this, he was employed as a salesman until his retirement in 1990.

George was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City; the Knights of Columbus and V.F.W., Post #733, Mason City.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Karamitros, Mason City; four children; Karen Whitney and her husband, Brian, Fort Worth, Texas; Chris Karamitros and his wife, Sherilyn, Fort Worth, Texas; Dennis Karamitros and his wife, Michelle, Marion; and Michael Karamitros and his wife, Tamara, Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Magnani, Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Roland R. Thompson

BRITT _ Roland R. Thompson, 74, of Britt, passed away Wednesday (Sept. 10, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Dodge officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, with full military rites under the direction of the Britt American Legion and the V.F.W.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Roland, the son of Alden and Carrie Hunsley Thompson, was born March 6, 1923, in Stilson.

He moved with his parents to the Crystal Lake area where he attended school, graduating from the Crystal Lake High School.

In 1941, he entered the U.S. Navy serving in the submarine service in Pearl Harbor.

In 1943, he was united in marriage to Betty Hildebrand in San Diego, Calif. Roland returned home following his discharge in 1945.

The couple made their home in Britt, where he worked for Iowa Electric for a short time. He started farming in 1947 and farmed until moving into Britt in July of 1997. Roland was a hail adjuster for Farm Bureau for 25 years. He and Betty enjoyed wintering in Texas for the past 21 years.

He was a member of the Stilson Evangelical United Brethren Church until 1968, when he became a member of the United Methodist Church in Britt. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau and the American Legion.

Roland_s hobby was farming. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing golf in Texas.

Roland is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons and their families; Jim and his wife, Carol and their children, Christie, Stephanie, Douglas and Robert of Britt; Ron and his wife, Shirley and their children, Jenny, Jeff and Matt of Spirit Lake; one daughter and her family, Cindy Hejlik and her husband, Larry and their children, Jason, Carrie, Jenna, Ashley and Lucas, of Garner; one brother, Louis Thompson and his wife, Kathie, of Evansdale; two sisters-in-law, Alice Thompson, Chester, and Judy Thompson of Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vera Dietz and Mildred Fisher Long; and two brothers, Dale and Donald.

Roy William Senne

ALLISON _ Roy William Senne, 64, of 16446 Marsh Ave., died Friday (Sept. 12, 1997) at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John_s Ev. Lutheran Church, Vilmar, rural Greene, with the Rev. Randy Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in the North Vilmar Cemetery, with a flag folding ceremony conducted by the Allison Amvets.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Reid_s Funeral Chapel, Greene, with an 8 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Roy William Senne was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Jackson Township, Butler County.

Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Senne and Viola Luchtenburg, both of Allison, and Marla Senne of Mason City; and one brother, Floyd Senne of Allison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

MASON CITY _ Olin Wayne Bond, 80, of 302 Second St. N.E., died Friday (Sept. 12, 1997) at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home and until time of services on Monday. Other arrangements are incomplete at the funeral home.

CHARLES CITY _ Wilbur G. Boggess, 71, of 9 South Cedar Terrace, died Thursday (Sept. 11, 1997) at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be further visitation on Monday until time of services at the funeral home, where other arrangements are incomplete.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, where other arrangements are incomplete.

Clemmit Monson

FOREST CITY _ Clemmit Monson, 75, of Forest City, died Thursday (Sept. 11, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Winnebago Lutheran Church, rural Lake Mills, with the Rev. Bill Peters officiating. Burial will be in Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Mills.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark St.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Winnebago Lutheran Church, Hospice of North Iowa, Cancer Society or the Heart Association.

Clemmit L. Monson was born on the family farm east of Forest City on Aug. 3, 1922, the son of Hans and Winifred (Jergensen) Monson.

He was baptized and confirmed at Winnebago Lutheran Church and graduated from Forest City High School.

He served in the European Theater with the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.

On Nov. 9, 1946, he was united in marriage to Pauline Violet Hubbard. She died on July 13, 1977.

On April 2, 1982, he was united in marriage to Hazel (Bang) Huso.

Clemmit has lived in the same house and farmed the family farm his entire life. Beside farming, Clemmit sold seed corn for several companies.

He enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Winnebago NitWits Club.

He served on the Forest City Co-op Elevator Board. He was a lifelong member of Winnebago Lutheran Church and a former deacon and trustee.

Clemmit is survived by his wife, Hazel Monson, of Forest City; a son, Kevin Monson and his wife, Julie, of Iowa City; three daughters, Diane Ehm and her husband, Maurice, of Guthrie Center, Carol Noren, of West Corina, Calif., and Sheila Davis and her husband, Dan, Forest City; brothers, Earl Monson and his wife, June, of Forest City and Archie Monson, of Forest City; sister-in-law, Geraldine Monson, Forest City; a stepdaughter, Terry Carden and her husband, Michael, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a stepson, Brad Huso and his wife, Carolyn, Mason City; 11 grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Winifred Monson; his first wife, Pauline; five brothers, Willard, Kenneth, Elmer, Glen and Milton Monson; a granddaughter, Nichole Davis; a stepson, Tommy Huso; and a son-in-law, Lane Noren.

MASON CITY _ Howard E. Bolding, 70, of 1537 South Wilson, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center.

Olin Wayne Bond

MASON CITY _ Olin Wayne Bond, 80, of 302 Second St. N.E., died Friday (Sept. 12, 1997) at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. The Rev. Charles Westendorf, Olin_s nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites by the Mason City Memorial Association at the graveside.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today and until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Olin W. Bond Memorial Fund.

Olin was born Jan. 22, 1917, son of Aura E. and Lydia E. (Nixon) Bond. He was married to Mary A. Westendorf on Feb. 15, 1941, at Buffalo Center. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked on farms near Burt and Alexander, Minn., before moving to Mason City in 1948. He worked for the Jacob E. Decker and Sons Packing Plant for some 25 years. He loved to spend his leisure time fishing and visiting with people. He also enjoyed his motorcycle over the years. He attended the First Assembly of God Church and was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; brothers, Hilbert and Delbert; and a sister, Violet.

Wilbur G. Boggess

CHALES CITY _ Wilbur G. Boggess, 71, died Thursday (Sept. 11, 1997) at the Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag of St. John Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and until the time of the funeral on Monday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.

Mr. Boggess was born Jan. 26, 1926, at Alta Vista.

Survivors include a daughter, Linde Adams of Ridgecrest, Calif.; one son, Greg Boggess of North Charleston, S.C.w; his mother, Katherine Boggess of Charles City; one sister, Shirley Moyle of Charles City; two brothers, Kenneth Boggess of Charles City and Dennis Boggess of Charles City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Ralph R. Markla

ALGONA _ Ralph R. Markla, 92, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 1997) at the Algona Manor Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Ralph was born Aug. 10, 1905, in Burt.

Survivors include one son, David, of Algona; two daughters, Janice Dodds of Algona and Diane Webb of Roland; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Margaret Hamand

RICEVILLE _ Margaret Hamand, 81, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 1997) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edythe Hill officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Conway Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.

Margaret was born April 11, 1916, in Oskaloosa.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Steffen of Waterloo; three sons, Larry of Rochester, Minn., Roger of Machesney Park, Ill., and Dennis of Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mable Clark of Sigourney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Richard Lynn Ersland

BELMOND _ Richard Lynn Ersland, 85, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 1997) in rural Belmond at the home of his daughter, Roberta Kraling.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Tenold Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to services.

Richard Lynn Ersland, the son of Edward E. and Genevra (Penny) Ersland, was born Feb. 29, 1912, at Belmond.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Arlene Lein and to this union five children were born. Richard farmed around Belmond until 1965 and moved to Kenyon, Minn., where he continued farming until his retirement.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond and, later, Gol Lutheran Church in Kenyon, where he and Ruth remained active until 1996. Richard enjoyed making trips to see his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he and Ruth also enjoyed their flowers and gardening.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Gary Ersland and his wife, Meredith, of Belmond, and Larry Ersland and his wife, Janice, of Belmond; daughters, Roberta Kraling and Larry McBain of Belmond and Rebecca Ersland and Tom Aeling of Winona, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Beverly Hogy and her husband, Bruce, of Morristown, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Dorr, Gregory Ersland, Melissa Ersland, Mitchell Ersland, Michael Ersland, Eric Kraling, Joshua Kraling, Todd Solberg, Jonathan Solberg, Cherie Bongers and Chad Ersland; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Celia Sibert of West Des Moines.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ruth (Lein) Ersland; one son, Randal Dean Ersland; four sisters, Alice Beveridge, Onnalee Madden, Gertrude Shahan and Margaret Dixon; and three brothers, Gerald, Gaspard and Jesse Ersland.

RAKE _ David Heath, 67, of Rake, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 1997) at his son_s home in Elysian, Minn.

Roy William Senne

ALLISON _ Roy William Senne, 64, of 16446 Marsh Ave., died Friday (Sept. 12, 1997) at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo from complications of surgery.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John_s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Vilmar, rural Greene, with the Rev. Randy Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in the North Vilmar Cemetery, with a flag folding ceremony conducted by the Allison AmVets.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reid_s Funeral Chapel in Greene where there will be a public scripture service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

Roy William Senne was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Jackson Township, Butler County, a son of Conrad and Dora (Kleinschmidt) Senne.

He received his education in the rural Butler County schools and attended Allison High School. As a young man he worked on the family farm until being inducted into the U.S. Army on Dec. 3, 1954, where he was stationed in Germany. Following his discharge on Nov. 13, 1956, he returned to farming in which he was engaged until his death.

Roy was baptized on Jan. 8, 1933, and confirmed a member of St. John_s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Vilmar on March 30, 1947. He was a member of the Allison AmVets.

Living family members include three sisters, Dorothy Senne and Viola Luchtenburg, both of Allison, and Marla Senne of Mason City; one brother, Floyd, and his wife, Verlene Senne, of Allison; his aunt, Minnie Kleinschmidt, of Allison; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ervin Dean Senne on Oct. 9, 1936.

Reinhault E. "R.E." Krumrey was born Nov. 10, 1901, near Bassett, rural Chickaway County, the son of Julius and Alvina (Hillmer) Krumrey. On March 26, 1926, in New Hampton, he was united in marriage to Alice Batrice Carpenter. The couple made their home on a farm east of Nashua where they were engaged in farming until their retirement. They then moved to their home on Cedar Street in Charles City. When their health began to decline, they entered the Reiverside Chautauqua Guest Home. Mrs. Krumrey died April 7, 1987, in Charles City.

In their spare time, the couple enjoyed fishing and traveling in the motor home.

Survivors include a brother, Lloyd and Ruth Krumrey of Charles City; a special friend who watched over R.E., Diane Groesback of Charles City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews..

In addition to his parents and wife, R.E. was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Henry, Harry and Lawrence Krumrey; and three sisters, Laura Hoeft, Nellie Miller and Alice Meineke.

Berenice Lelia Hilton was born on March 6, 1901 in Omen, Ill.
