Dylan Dean Bailey was born Sept. 9,
2004, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa
in Mason City to his loving parents,
Todd Dean and Ann Margaret (Popowski)
Bailey. He was the first-born child to
his parents.
From the very beginning, Dylan expressed
his love of cuddling and his independent
personality. After a time of being held
and snuggled with, he was content to be
laid down so he could freely coo and
kick.
Dylan was extremely alert and seemed to
notice everything that surrounded him.
In particular, Dylan already held a
fascination for riding high in Daddy’s
big, red, Chevy truck.
Watching the fish in the aquarium also
sparked his curiosity.
Dylan’s Daddy and Mommy claim, “Dylan
had a smile that would totally melt your
heart and he will forever be our special
angel!”
Even though Dylan was in their lives for
only a short time, he brought so much
joy and love into the hearts and lives
of his entire family and friends.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers
for Dylan’s funeral service are Chad and
Tucker Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Dean
Popowski and Matthew Popowski.
Honorary bearers are Dan Johansen, Lonie
Stohl, Jermie Schroeder, Adam Bailey,
LeRoy Popowski, Jerry Popowski, Steven
Popowski and Monica Popowski.
Dylan will be forever cherished and
sadly missed by his family and friends
who have shared in his life.
He is survived by Daddy and Mommy, Todd
and Ann Bailey of Clear Lake; his
grandparents, Roger and Sharon Bailey of
Denison, Iowa, and Dennis and Charlene
Popowski of Garner; his
great-grandparents, Lila Bailey of Sioux
Falls, S.D.; Donald and Frances Johnson
of Tea, S.D.; Roy and Marjorie Popowski
of Ivanhoe, Minn.; and Anna Verly of
Minneota, Minn. Dylan will also be
greatly missed by his uncles, aunts and
cousins, Chad and Tina Bailey and their
children Abby, Madison and Tucker of
Denison; LeRoy and Felicia Popowski and
their children, Jared and Zachery of
Portland, Ore.; Dean Popowski of
Mountain View, Calif.; Jerry and Laura
Popowski and their children Malory, Ben
and Samantha of Rapid City, S.D.; Steven
Popowski of Garner; Matthew Popowski of
Waverly, and Monica Popowski of Garner.
Dylan was greeted into heaven with the
open arms of his great-grandpas, Virgil
Bailey, Orvin Henrichs and Albert Verly,
who preceded him in death.
