Her sister, being a performer in music, helped Jeri celebrate her grand opening by performing with her band. By 1982 Jeri was operating a very successful salon. She had two associates working for her.

She then opened a second salon in New Hampton where her mother and father were living at the time. She met her second husband, Vern Schnoebelen, who was from New Hampton. Vern also went to beauty school, graduated and worked for Jeri at the Clear Lake Salon for about 10 years.

Jeri believed in being one of the best and continued to devote her time to her profession. Performing as a platform artist, teaching continuing education to other stylists, being in competitions whenever possible, and studying under international artists.

She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1996 to manage a Saks 5th Avenue Salon. Through the years, she worked in other upscale salons and also with a clothes designer from that area. Many felt her love and compassion when she helped with volunteer work. She would help shelters to distribute food and clothes to the needy. Her Christian faith was unwavering, and a strong example to others. We will all miss Jeri.

Her family will hold a gathering of friends and family from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001 at the band shell in City Park at Clear Lake. Please come and share any memories of this very special lady, who was a big city girl in a small town.

Surviving family members include her mother, Jean Gasket, The Villages, Fla.; and her sister, Nan-c Ganske Haney, Minneapolis, Minn.; and two nephews, Cameron and Tyler Haney.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Ganske; and her devoted pet Star Dust.
