HAMPTON - Pamela Sietsema, 44, of Hampton, died Monday (July 10, 2000) at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

LAVERNE D. INGEBRITSON

HAMPTON - LuVerneD. Ingebritson, 83, of Hampton, died Sunday (July 9, 2000) at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, with Richard Davis, Lyle Schober and Bryan Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home.

GEORGE E. SKUSTER

OSAGE - George E. Skuster, 82, died Saturday (July 8, 2000) at Faith Home in Osage following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Champion Funeral Home in Osage, with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Cremation will follow the service with a private inurnment at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage.

George was born May 8, 1918, on the family farm in Mitchell Township in Mitchell County, the son of Rasmus and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Warrington) Skuster. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1936.

George was united in marriage to Bertha Hungerford on July 31, 1937. They farmed north of Mitchell until 1941 and then moved and farmed east of Mitchell until 1994, when his failing health forced him to retire.

George is survived by his wife, Bertha Skuster, of Osage; two daughters, Liz Dickson and her husband, James, of Oakland, Calif., and their sons, Jeff and J. D. and Lynne Neuhaus and her husband, Tom, of Cedar Rapids; one son, Marc Skuster and his wife, Jane, of Victorville, Calif.. and their daughter, Sarah; and a brother, Gordon Skuster and his wife, Gloria, of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Galen "Doc" Skuster; and two sisters, Gladys Skuster and Glenda Steinhilber.

KENNETH K. KNIGHT

GOLDFIELD - Kenneth K. Knight, 83, of Goldfield, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield, with the Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Kenneth K. Knight was born on March 14, 1917, to Jay and Maude (Kelling) Knight. He attended Thrall Country School and also Goldfield High School. On Feb. 3, 1940, he was married to Frances Wilcox at the Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Goldfield.

After marriage they made their home at the old Shirk farm for one year. He was engaged in farming. The second year they moved to the Kelling farm. They also made their home on the Axon and Bartzen farms, moving to town to retire in the winter of 1982.

Kenneth was active in the United Presbyterian Church, serving on the trustee committee and was an ordained elder. He also served on the Humboldt R.E.C. and the Goldfield State Bank boards for approximately 10 years.

Grandpa Kenny will be fondly remembered by his loving grandchildren for many farm memories, especially for the chicken butchering, the sweet corn freezing, the hot dog roasts, the wonderful watermelons he raised and mostly for letting them sing "Elvira" through the streets of Goldfield.

He will be remembered for making his wonderful homemade ice cream for everyone's birthday. Kenneth and Frances' home was always open to friends and family for great conversation and food. They were avid square dance club members and enjoyed many years of dancing.

He and Francis were able to celebrate their 60th anniversary on Feb. 3, 2000. A family dinner was held with all family members present.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lynn and Richard; and two sisters, Ione and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances; one son, Dennis Knight and his wife, Glenda, of Humboldt; two daughters, Sandra and her husband, Tom Stevenson, of Goldfield and Janice and her husband, Al Rodriguez, of Belmond; one brother, James "Pete" L. Knight and his wife, Mildred, of Clarion; and two sisters, Betty Lou Knight, of Emmetsburg, and Lucile Kvale, of Clarion.

He will be lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Todd and his wife, Lisa, of Dubuque, Paul and his wife, Kris, of Clear Lake, Lori and her husband, Benji, of Keosauqua, Kendall, of Goldfield, DeAnna and her husband, Steve, of Britt, Rochelle and her husband, Don, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kristin and her husband, Steve, of Iowa City; also six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Zachery, Jacob, Dane and Noah.

WESLEY - Margaret C. Wingert, 93, died Friday (July 7, 2000) in Harlingen, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley, with the Rev. Lynn Bruch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Wesley.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Wesley.

HAMPTON - Iris J. Mittelstadt, 73, of Hampton, died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hampton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wilbert Trusheim officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

INEZ K. BROWNELL

MASON CITY - Memorial services for Inez K. Brownell, 102, formerly of Mason City, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 100 First St. N.E., with the Rev. Richard Scheerer officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery prior to services at the church.

She died Jan. 9, 2000, in Bellaire, Texas.

CLARION - Robert Merlyn Didio, 75, of Clarion, died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.

MARIE VON KAENEL

MASON CITY - Marie Von Kaenel, 76, of 302 Second St. N.E., died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at the Good Shepherd Health Center.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 100 First St. N.E., with the Rev. Richard Scheerer officiating. Inurnment will be in the First Congregational United Church of Christ Columbarium.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.

Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to the organ fund at First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Marie was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Monroe, Wis., the daughter of John F. and Rosetta (Danner) Von Kaenel. She graduated from Monroe High School, the Spencerian Institute with a degree as a medical secretary and from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor of science degree as a medical technologist.

Marie moved to Mason City in 1947 where she worked as a medical technologist at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital for 35 years. She also worked at North Iowa Area Community College for 11 years.

She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she served as church organist for 35 years. She was also a member of Matinee Musicale, P.E.O. and the Organ Guild.

Marie is survived by four brothers, John C. Van Kaenel and his wife, Sallie, of Clemson, S.C., Robert H. Von Kaenel and his wife, Gladys, of Monroe, Wis., G. Fredrick Von Kaenel and his wife, Pat, of Baltic, Conn., and Ernest E. Von Kaenel, of Bell Harbor, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

PATRICIA L. MUSKOVICH

NORA SPRINGS - Patricia L. Muskovich, 68, of 110 First St. N.W., Nora Springs, died Monday (July 10, 2000) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Nora Springs with the Rev. Richard Pippert and the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Inurnment will be in Park Cemetery in Nora Springs.

The family will greet friends for an hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the Nora Springs Public Library.

Patricia was born on June 5, 1932, in Nora Springs, the daughter of Darrell and Gertrude Elva (Tibbits) Sanford. She graduated from Nora Springs High School and from Mason City Business College.

Patricia was united in marriage to Mike Muskovich on Nov. 7, 1953, in Albert Lea, Minn. She worked for many years as a secretary at Decker's in Mason City and also was a homemaker. She began work as a secretary for United Way in 1972, retiring in 1982.

Patricia enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and traveling with her husband in their motor home, especially to the desert Southwest.

She was a member of the Nora Springs United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer for the Nora Springs Public Library and the Mason City Youth Task Force.

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Mary Schissel and her husband, Ron, of Dougherty, Michelle Stiles and her husband, Bill, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., and Marcia Brightman and her husband, Bob, of Newport News, Va.; one son, James Muskovich and his wife, Julie, of Green Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Shari Kisner, Michael Schissel, Mathew Schissel, Tamra Choate, Delaney Brightman, Alisha Muskovich, Amanda Muskovich, Micah Muskovich and Aspen Muskovich; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Robin.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mike, in 1995.

ROGER L. HUMBURG

MASON CITY - Roger L. Humburg, 49, of Mason City, died Wednesday (July 12, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty with Monsignor Joseph J. Slepicka officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Dougherty.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic School in Dougherty, with a scriptural prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.

Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Roger L. Humburg Memorial Fund.

Roger was born on Jan. 20, 1951, in Mason City, the son of Edward and Beulah (Kappen) Humburg. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. He graduated from Sheffield High School in 1969 and then attended North Iowa Area Community College.

Roger joined the Catholic Church in 1974 and was united in marriage to Sarah "Sally" Dougherty on Sept. 13, 1974, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty.

He worked for many years at Sheffield Brick and Tile. After the business closed, he went back to school, graduating from Hamilton Business College. Roger then worked at Kraft Foods for several years and for five years at the Clear Lake Bakery. He had worked at Minnesota Rubber since the bakery's closing.

Roger was a people person who knew most everyone. He enjoyed watching his son play sports and volunteering as Santa Claus for many years at Southbridge Mall.

Roger is survived by his wife, Sarah, and his son, Tony, of Mason City; his parents, Ed and Beulah, of Hampton; one sister, Susan Eisentrager and her husband, Duane, and their son, Mike, all of Hampton; one uncle, Kenneth Kappen and his wife, Vi, of Sheffield; one aunt, Esther Humburg, of Sheffield; and many other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his grandparent; his parents-in-law, James and Catherine Dougherty; and many aunts and uncles.

NOLAN M. MEYER

CEDAR RAPIDS - Nolan Michael Meyer, 15-month-old son of Chris and Erin Meyer, 908 Ashford Drive N.E., died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) at St. Luke's Hospital of a chronic illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Donald Klein of St. Pius X Catholic Church officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 3 p.m. today in St. Mary's Cemetery in Guttenberg.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the chapel.

Nolan was born March 28, 1999, in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his parents, Chris and Erin; and sister, Ellie; grandparents, Earl and Anni Meyer of Guttenberg and Robert and Kathy Carney of Mason City; and a great-grandfather, Earl Meyer Sr.
