CALE WOOD JOHNSON

GREENE - Cale Wood Johnson, 18, of rural Greene died Thursday (April 6, 2000) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center-East Campus, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hampton United Methodist Church, Hampton, with the Rev. Robert Conner and the Rev. Kate Bell officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.

FRANCES L. CAMPBELL

GARNER - Frances L. Campbell, 78, died Saturday (April 8, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

MILDRED ELVIRA REASLAND

MINNEAPOLIS -Mildred Elvira Reasland, 81, died Thursday (April 6, 2000) at her home in Minneapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell followed by interment at Oak Grove Cemetery. Services in Minneapolis will be held Monday.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.

Mildred Elvira Reasland was born July 18, 1918, in Bruno, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Matt and Anna (Peterson) Clayton. She died on April 6, 2000, at her home.

Mildred grew up in the Mitchell area, graduating from Mitchell High School. She moved to Minneapolis in 1939 and resided there ever since.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Anna Clayton; her son, Jerry; and brothers, Robert and Harold Clayton.

Mildred is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Eileen Reasland of Minnetonka, Minn.; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Robert Friestleben of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ken (Mary) Clayton of California; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Clayton of Mitchell, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

ALGONA - Kari Westberg, 17, died Friday (April 7, 2000) at Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev. Steven Turner and the Rev. Patrick O'Neal officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Algona.

Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Monday at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Algona.

VICTOR SNYDER

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. - Victor Snyder, 84, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., formerly of the Mason City and Clear Lake area, passed away Thursday (April 6, 2000) in Forest Lake, Minn.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6900 West Fish Lake Rd., Maple Grove, Minn.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Chapel, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, Minn. and one hour prior to services at the church.

Victor is survived by his wife, Ruth (Waller) Snyder; daughter, Sharon (Eugene) Lotts; son, William J. (Sue) Snyder II; grandchildren, Gene (Julie) Lotts Jr., Scott Lotts, Garth (Karen) Lotts, Heather (Greg) Cooper, Kimberly (Bob) Trapp, Jason (Trudi) Snyder, Julianne (Bill) Smith, Kristine (Mark) Johnson and W. Victor Snyder III; great-grandchildren, Anna Lotts, Lauren Smith, Douglas Snyder, Kyle Trapp, Kassondra Snyder, Ian Lotts, Rachael Trapp, Sara Smith and Zach Johnson; sister, Esther Riesinger; brothers, Alex Snyder and Robert Snyder; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Douglas on Feb. 29, 2000; parents; sisters, Amelia Cannon, Lydia Cannon and Rose Campbell; and one brother, John Snyder.

OPAL 'COOKIE' MARTYKAN

OSAGE - Opal 'Cookie' Martykan, 85, died Saturday (April 8, 2000) at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage.

There will be no services or visitation; the body was cremated. Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of the arrangements, (515) 732-3706.

CALE WOOD JOHNSON

GREENE - Cale Wood Johnson, 18, died Thursday (April 6, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City as a result of a car accident in rural Butler County.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in Hampton with the Rev. Bob Connor and the Rev. Kate Bell Houston officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery following the service.

Friends called from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.

Cale was born Aug. 8, 1981, in Hampton. He attended school in Hampton-Dumont and was planning his graduation in May with the class of 2000. Cale was confirmed and a member of United Methodist Church in Aredale. Cale's young life was filled with love for his family and multitude of friends.

Cale's motto was to live life to its fullest and he certainly did. He demonstrated this in every step of his short but impactful journey of life. He thoroughly enjoyed and took advantage of God's precious gift of nature. He loved to hunt, fish and golf. Cale was also involved in several school activities including football, band and his favorite, basketball.

Cale was a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed his time on the family farm helping with livestock and field work. His greatest gift of all was time he spent just hanging out with his numerous friends and family.

Cale is survived by his parents, Penny and Mark Johnson, and one sister, Cie Ann Johnson of Greene; one paternal grandmother, Lois Johnson of Hampton; one maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Sloan of Conrad; one paternal uncle, Kent and Kelly Johnson of Cedar Falls; one paternal aunt, Pam and Dave Rusinack of Sheffield; one maternal uncle, Larry and Lisa Wood of Casper, Wyo.; one maternal aunt, Pam and Ron Wade of Laramie, Wyo.; and several step aunts and uncles plus numerous family and friends.

Cale was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Duane Johnson; maternal grandmother, Mary (Wood) Sheppard; maternal step-grandfather, Max Sheppard; and maternal grandfather, John Richard Wood.

CLEAR LAKE - Charlotte Virginia (Ginny) Callanan, 90, died Sunday (April 9, 2000) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Clear Lake Cemetery.
