Ronald Melvin "Ron" Loken
National Guard

Northwood - Ronald "Ron" Melvin Loken, 69, rural Northwood, died Saturday (April 9, 2011) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, as a result of a John Deere Gator accident. A funeral service for Ron will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the First Lutheran Church, 309 N. Ninth St., Northwood, with Pastor Karen Rossing Grandall officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, with military graveside honors conducted by members of Our Buddies VFW Memorial Post No. 6779 of Northwood.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S., Northwood. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Tuesday at the church.
Ronald Melvin Loken was born on June 1, 1941, on the family farm in rural Northwood, the son of Melvin and Alma (Stiehl) Loken. Ron was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood. Ron attended Northwood-Kensett Community school system, graduating from Northwood-Kensett High School in the Class of 1959. After his graduation, Ron enlisted in the Iowa National Guard and was with Company E, First Battle Group 133D Infantry and serviced his country faithfully and honorably until his discharge on Dec. 31, 1963. After his honorable discharge, Ron began farming west of Northwood, and continued to farm until his death.
Ron was united in marriage to Linda Hempen on March 23, 1963, at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood, and to this union two children were born, Rod and Robin.
Ron enjoyed farming all of his life, making over 100 fishing trips, reading, traveling, raising Holstein cattle, buying and restoring two cylinder tractors, Bluegrass and Gospel music and festivals, and visiting with his many friends, but his great love and enjoyment was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Ron was a member of First Lutheran Church in the Northwood, and was on the Co-Op Oil board for over 15 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Loken of Northwood; two children, Rod (Sue) Loken of Northwood, and Robin (Jay) Hopperstad of Northwood; his four grandchildren, Jacob and Casey Loken, and Marty and Laura Hopperstad; his sister, Marlene Petersen and husband Dub Graversen of Mason City; his special dog, Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, step- father, Shirley Booen; brother, Larry Loken; and brother-in-law, Dudley Petersen.

Mark A. Gauger

FOREST CITY - Mark A. Gauger, 55, of Forest City died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 15, at St. James Catholic Church in Forest City with Father Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mark Allen Gauger, the middle child of Harlan and Irene (Goddard) Gauger, was born Sept. 2, 1955, in Osage. He attended school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Osage High School in 1974. After graduation, he worked at Winnebago Industries in the metal stamp area until January of 2010 when his eyesight started to worsen. Mark met his future bride-to-be, Kathy Street, while talking on the C.B. They spent many happy hours chasing each other around Osage trying to find each other from the frequency of the C.B. On Oct. 9, 1977, they became engaged and on July 28, 1978, were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. They lived in Forest City where they raised their daughter, Amy Lynn. Mark enjoyed camping and sitting on the deck watching his squirrels, birds and traffic. He also enjoyed his many cell phone calls to his siblings and coffee time at Hardee's with "the boys." He loved taking his grandkids around his lawn in a wagon pulled by his garden tractor. The light of his life were his two grandsons, Dominic and Landon Murphy. Mark spoiled them all the time and they loved the attention.

Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathy, of Forest City; daughter, Amy Lowe and husband, Frank, of Austin, Minn., and her two sons, Dominic and Landon and his three children, Asher, Vash and Aria; his mother, Irene Gauger of St. Ansgar; two brothers, Harlan, Jr. "Gene" Gauger and wife, Lee, of Jamestown, N.C. and Gary Gauger and wife, Teresa, of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Nancy Chitwood of St. Ansgar and Kathy Squier and husband, Jim, of St. Ansgar; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Georgia Margaret Harrington

BRITT - Georgia Harrington, 86, of Britt, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Westview Care Center in Britt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Britt with Father Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Britt.

Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, April 12, from 5-7 p.m., with a Catholic Daughters Rosary Service at 4:30 p.m. and a Scriptural Wake Service at 7 p.m., at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center St. West in Britt.

Georgia was born on June 1, 1924, on a farm east of Brainard, Neb. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School to the eighth grade, then Brainard High School and was valedictorian of her senior class. Georgia played the tuba in the high school band and orchestra winning high honors on her solos at Nebraska state music contests.

Georgia attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and got a degree in Kindergarten-Primary Education. She taught second grade in Marion, Iowa, and three years in Spencer.

On June 9, 1949, she was married to Francis Harrington of Britt, at Visitation Church in Stacyville. The couple began farming east of Woden where they raised a family of seven sons and one daughter. Georgia was Iowa Farm Wife of the Year in 1980, served as Woden-Crystal Lake School Board President, and was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Woden. She loved flower gardening, quilting and music.

In August 1988, they retired and moved to Britt, where she continued making quilts for family and charity. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Britt and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by her husband Francis, their children John and his wife Kathy of Stillwater, Minn.; Thomas and his wife Kim of Olathe, Kan.; Dr. William and his wife Dr. Gloria of Charleston, S.C.; Paul and his wife Dawn of Woden; James of Des Moines; Joseph and his wife Judy of Checotah, Okla; Mary Mahoney and her husband Mike of Des Moines; Dr. Philip and his wife Melanie of Grinnell; a sister Emma Kriz, FSPA; and a brother Dr. George J. Kriz, Jr; six grandsons and 11 granddaughters.

Georgia was preceded in death by two sisters Rosalie and Mary and her parents George and Rose Kriz.

Marvin W. Janssen

LAKE MILLS - Marvin W. Janssen, 72, of Lake Mills, formerly of Garner, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills.

Marvin Wayne Janssen was born on Jan. 8, 1939, in Buffalo Center, to parents Ralph and Fannie (Smidt) Janssen. He attended and graduated from Buffalo Center High School.

On Sept. 8, 1963, Marvin was united in marriage with Janice Stokesbary at the United Methodist Church in Klemme. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Jill and Jodi.

Marvin was a general contractor, home builder, and partner in North Iowa Builders until the mid-1970s. Marvin was a skilled craftsman who loved working with his hands, and he built his family's home in Northwood among other notable constructions. Marvin later began a partnership - Gelner Janssen Automation- selling farm equipment in Klemme. He retired in 1995 due to health concerns.

Marvin had many hobbies and interests including a love for golf, camping with his family, reading, and traveling. He and Jan took their family on many trips when the girls were younger going to places such as Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Florida. The family was grateful to have gone on a trip to Disney World in December of 2008.

He was a wonderful husband, he loved his family, and he had a wealth of pride in his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Janice of Lake Mills; two daughters, Jill (Todd) Thorson of Lake Mills, and Jodi (Jason) Cagle of Carrollton, Texas; "Grandpa's Team" Makenzie and Dalton Thorson of Lake Mills, and Connor and Colton Cagle of Carrollton, Texas; and his mother, Fannie Janssen of Mason City. Marvin is also survived by a brother, Gary (Rosemary) Janssen of Mason City; a close family friend, Judy (Cecil) Reyerson of Clear Lake; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Julie (Bill) Renner of Garner, and Jerry (Sharon) Stokesbary of Mason City; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Janssen; brother David Janssen; nephew, Rory Janssen; and his in-laws, Orville Stokesbary, Nova (Stokesbary) Gelner and Leon Gelner.

Robert "Bob" Keel
U. S. Navy WWII

FOREST CITY - Robert "Bob" Keel, 90, of Forest City, died Saturday, April 9, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at the United Methodist Church in Forest City with Pastor Jerald Swanberg officiating. Burial will be at Madison Township Cemetery in rural Forest City with Graveside Military Rites by Forest City American Legion Post 121.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at Petersen Lund Funeral Home 505 N Clark Street in Forest City and will continue an hour prior to service at the church.

Robert Dale Keel was born on July 19, 1920, at home on his parents' farm west of Forest City, the son of Clarence and Winnifred (Nonnweiler) Keel. He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith.

Bob was raised on the farm that was homesteaded by his great-grandparents. He attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Forest City High School in 1937. He proudly served in the
U.S. Navy during World War II and was married to Evelyn Youngquist on March 8, 1945, at the Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minn. Together, they raised their family and farmed the five- generation farm.

Farming was Bob's life and he did it well. He was known to be a very hard worker, but he always took time to enjoy the friendship of his neighbors and time with his family.
Bob was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church in Forest City, held a life membership in the American legion and the
VFW, was a charter member of the Forest City FFA, and he gave 40 years of service to ASCS. Deer hunting was his favorite hobby where he could spend time in his favorite place, God's nature.

Those who knew him loved his great sense of humor. In his later years he touched several lives with his many visits to friends who were ill, home-bound, or living in care facilities.

Bob will always be remembered and loved by his three children: Tom (Bev) Keel of Reedsburg, Wis.; Linda (Jim) Westensee of Lakefield, Minn.; and Bill (Sarah) Keel of Forest City. Also surviving are his grandchildren: April Jones, Jennifer (Mike) Cole, Nicky (Mark) Nel, Matt Keel, Kelli Keel and Tanner Keel; his great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ally and Shane; his sister Eva Olson, his aunt Dorothy Christensen and two nieces and three nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Evie and his parents.

OSAGE - Robert Duane Mark, 88, of Osage, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage where he was a long-time resident. The care and friendship he received from the staff and residents was indeed exceptional.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 14, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Paul Brown of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Bob was born on the family farm southeast of Osage on April 11, 1922, the son of Adam and Ada (Lewis) Mark. He graduated from Orchard Schools and served as an aircraft mechanic in the U. S. Navy during
WWII. On March 6, 1947, Bob married Marjorie June Saline of Osage and together they raised their family on their Century Farm near Orchard. Bob also enjoyed working as a property assessor and had a passion for horses and ponies, raising exotic birds and collecting.

Robert is survived by his children, Mary Brelsford of Kellogg, Minn., William (Mary Kay) Mark of Faribault, Minn., John Mark of Osage, Ann (Robert) Heise of Rochester, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Helen Mark of Muskegon, Mich.; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marjorie of 58 years; sisters, Marian Fink and Dorothy Lack; and a brother, Donald Mark.

Larry Douglas Ward

HOUSTON, Texas - Larry Douglas Ward, of Cypress, Texas, was born March 12, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Bernice (Heaton) and Ira Dee Ward. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2011, while camping west of Houston, Texas. A memorial service was held a the Unity Church of North Houston, Texas on Saturday, April 2.

Larry was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying small planes, riding motorcycles, camping and being with friends and family.

Larry spent his early years in Knoxville and Des Moines, Iowa, and later in Mason City, Iowa. He returned to Des Moines and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959; and from Iowa State University in 1964 with a degree in Industrial Engineering, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. While at Iowa State, Larry was selected as one of six students nationwide to participate in a co-operative training program with IBM. After graduation, Larry became one of the first computer salesman for IBM in Des Moines. In 1967 he accepted a management consulting position with Peat, Marwick and Mitchell in Chicago, Ill. In 1970 he started Ward Consulting, later changing the name to Technical Service Group. Most recently, Larry was the operations manager for United Flight Systems located in Spring, Texas.

He is survived by his children Douglas Ward (Judy), Sarah Ward (Michelle Robinson), and David Ward (Diane) of the Houston area; Mark Ward of Chicago, Ill; Matthew Ward (Trisha) of Dunwoody, Ga.; and his step-children whom he raised with Dee Ward; Paul Davis of Dallas, Texas; Jim Malicki of Austin, Texas; and Liz and Cathy Malicki of Round Lake, Ill. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Kathryn Eggenberger (Brian), Devon Ward, Halie Markum, Samantha and Johnathon Ward all of the Houston area; Syndi Ward of Weatherford, Texas; Jessica Anderson of Springfield, Mo.; and Savannah Ward of Chicago. He is also survived by his sister Susan Fisher (Darrell) of Mason City, Iowa; and his devoted companion, Ruth Howard of Cypress, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lambert Winkels

MEYER - Lambert Winkels, 95, of Meyer, died April 10, 2011, at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home, Stacyville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Sacred Heart Oratory in Meyer, with the Rev. John Moser officiating and Military Honors by the Stacyville American Legion Post No. 569. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meyer.

Visitation will be held this evening from 4-8 p.m. at the church with with Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and Scripture service at 6:15 p.m.

Lambert was born on Dec. 29, 1919, near Meyer, the son of Nicholas and Katie (Theobald) Winkels.

He attended grade school and high school at McIntire. He helped on the family farm up until he entered the
Army in December 1942. He served overseas 14 months in Burma and India and was honorably discharged as a sergeant in February 1946.
On Oct. 16, 1946, he married Dorothy Snyder at the All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines. He farmed the family homestead up until his retirement. He later became custodian of Sacred Heart Church at Meyer. He married Ila Brandt on Nov. 7, 1974, at the Sacred Heart Church at Meyer. He enjoyed gardening and working in his shop. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

In recent years, Lambert was a resident of the Adams Health Care Nursing Home and the Stacyville Community Nursing Home. He really appreciated all the loving care he received from everyone.

Lambert is survived by his son Keith and Jennifer (Roland) Winkels; three daughters Katherine Williams and special friend Tom, Ginny Boerjan, and Linda (Lloyd) Taylor. He has six grandkids and six step-grandkids. He also has many great-step-grandkids, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Dorothy and Ila, two brothers, one sister, one son-in-law and one nephew.

GREENE - William R. Astor, 86, of Greene died Monday, April 11, 2011, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A Celebration of Life Service for William R. Astor will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the United Methodist Church in Greene with Pastor Ashok Patet and Dr. Gary Astor officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene, with Military Honors conducted by Tack-Barnett Post 268 American Legion of Greene.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Reid's Funeral Chapel, 519 N. First St., Greene. A Public Scripture Service will be at 7 p.m.

William Raymond Astor was born in Arlington, Fayette Co., on Aug. 29, 1924, a son of Richard Raymond and Anna Catherine Theesfeld. He received his education in the public schools, graduating from the Arlington High School in 1942. He entered the Navy serving during
WWII. He returned home and attended Upper Iowa University for a short time and played on their winning football team.

He was united in marriage to Mary Kathreen Wheeler on Jan. 12, 1948, in Sumner. To this union they were blessed five children. William was honored to have been baptized in 1964, along with all five of his children, at the Methodist Church in Greene.

William drove truck for companies in Independence and Hampton before moving to Greene in 1953, where he worked for 43 years for Murphy's Trucking as a driver, manager and dispatcher. In his retirement he delivered Winnebagos and trucks for Stellar Industries in Garner.

William was the oldest active member of the American Legion in Greene, having been a member for over 60 years. He served on the board for the Round Grove Country Club and served on the Greene City Council as well as several Community Advisement Boards.

William is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary; four daughters: Katie (Dave) Cosgrove of Dubuque, Susie (Tim) Brinkley of Spencer, Sandy (Andy) Rutz of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Jenny (Greg) Thill of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one son, Bill (Kathy) Astor of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Lynn Pollock and her children Brian, Laura and Amanda; Makala Brinkley; Brittany Spieker (Justin) and children Ellie Rae and Noah; Spencer Rutz; Leah Rutz; Ethan Astor; two sisters, Eleanor Rice of Toppenish, Wash., and Maxine (Bill) Bright of Cedar Falls; two brothers, James Astor of Cedar Rapids and Dr. Gary (Joanne) Astor of Fort . Dodge; one sister-in-law Sonya Astor of Cedar Rapids; and special family friends Allen, Olene and Elizabeth Schroeder.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Irene in infancy; sisters Ellen Longnecker, Mary Laverne Lawson and Dorothy Fliehler; brothers Walter and Marvin Astor; and a grandchild, Matthew Brinkley, in infancy.

LACONNER, Wash -Edith Lucille Ballard, 81, of LaConner, Wash., passed away peacefully April 10, 2011.

Viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.

She was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Hartley, Iowa, to Charles and Minnie Opkis, she was the third of six children.

She graduated from Mason City High School in 1948. She studied bookkeeping at North Iowa Area Community College for a short time.

She married Willis E. Ballard on Dec. 18, 1948. They had one son, Dale E. Ballard. Edith worked as a bookkeeper for Van Horn Auto Parts.

After her marriage, she and Willis did custodial work for various businesses and Cerro Gordo County Courthouse. She also worked for Risto sewing leather goods. She was heavily into all kinds of sewing, knitting, tatting, crocheting, quilting and loved to go fishing. If it related to arts and crafts of any kind, Edie could do it. Edith was a volunteer at the food bank, but she most enjoyed her volunteer work as a foster grandparent at the local schools. A few years after the death of her husband, she moved to Mount Vernon, Wash., to be closer to her son and family. Later she moved to LaConner Retirement Inn in LaConner, Wash.

Survivors include a son, Dale and wife, Verna Ballard; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Bachmann, Michelle (Mark) McKay, and Keith Harbison; seven great grandchildren, Lindsey, Whitney, Cameron, Chase, Madysen, Wyatt, and Connor; one great great grandson, Landyn; two sisters, Margaret (Lloyd) VanHorn, Charlene Groven; and one brother, Alvin (Phyllis) Opkis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis; sister, Cecil Terrance; and brother Vernon Opkis.

Velma "Fae" Becker

HAMPTON - Velma "Fae" Becker, 90, of Hampton, passed away April 12, 2011, at the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. The Rev. Dr. Edward R. Peterson will officiate the service.

She was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Butler County, Iowa, to Leslie and Mary "Mae" (Murphy) Minnier. Fae graduated from the Hansell High School. She was united in marriage to Lawrence "Took" Becker on May 22, 1943, in Hampton. Fae worked at the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, she was a secretary for Farm Bureau from 1960-1985, and she worked at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton. She was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church, she also was a member of the Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary and the Franklin County Historical Society. Fae played in several bridge and card clubs and enjoyed Bluegrass music. She enjoyed baking birthday cakes for all of her family members and also wedding cakes. Her nieces and nephews were very special to her.

Fae is survived by her nephew Dennis (Ruth) Becker, niece Shirley Larsen, nephew Wayne (Marge) Thompson, nephew Larry (Eve) Thompson, nephew Roger (Lucy) Minnier, niece Sharon (Jack) Hareid, nephew Richard (Mary) Minnier, niece Sue Rodemeyer, niece Jeannie Lowe, nephew Jim Nemmers, niece Patty (John) Cravens, niece Kristy Nemmers, nephew Roy (Janet) Nemmers, numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews and special friend Mathilda Butson.

HANLONTOWN - James O. Brunsvold, 90, of Hanlontown, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Manly Care Center in Manly.

A funeral service for James will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Grace Lutheran Church, 302 E. Fourth St., Hanlontown, with Pastor Linda Johnson-Prestholt officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Point Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the Edward Tosel American Legion Post No. 110 of Manly.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at the Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring Street, Manly. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.

James Olanzo Brunsvold was born on June 15, 1920, in Kensett, to Carl and Ida (Thoen) Brunsvold. He attended school and graduated from the Hanlontown High School in the Class of 1940.

On Oct. 7, 1940, James enlisted in the
Army where he faithfully served his country during World War II. He was stationed in the United States, France, and Germany with the 79th Antiaircraft Division until his honorable discharge on Nov. 21, 1945.
On Feb. 2, 1942, James was united in marriage to Carmen Guttermson, of Northwood, in Hattisburg, Miss. To this union two children were born, Michael on July 25, 1946, and Barbara on Dec. 7, 1947.

For over 60 years James farmed in the Hanlontown area. He was always a very independent man and often did things his way. James enjoyed farming the most, in addition to fishing, dancing, and gambling. James also donated to the American Natives Chrildren's Fund in South Dakota for many years.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They could always be sure that Grandpa Jim was looking out for them.

Jim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hanlontown.

Those grateful in sharing in Jim's life are his two children, Michael (Marsha) Brunsvold, Mason City, and Barbara Saiki, Mankato, Minn.; Michael's children, Chad (Amy) Brunsvold, Thorp, Wis., Chris (Carrie) Spokane, Wash., Tami (Ed) Saidat, Mason City, and Corey (Adrienne) Brunsvold, Minneapolis, Minn.; Barbara's children, Ty (Julie) Saiki, Mankato, Minn., Zac (Alison) Saiki, Rochester, Minn., and Meredith (Craig) Saiki, Duluth, Minn., and their father, Joel Saiki and the Saiki family; great-grandchildren, Carl and Molly Brunsvold, Eddie and Carmen Saidat, Samantha Saiki, and Quade and Quinn; brother, Wallace (Bonnie) Brunsvold; brother-in-law, Phil Darland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Lani (Torkelson) Carson

DES MOINES - Lani (Torkelson) Carson, 37, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on Monday, April 11, 2011.

Visitation will be held Thursday April 14, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. and a 10:30 a.m. funeral will follow on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care in Ames. Burial will be at the Slater Cemetery.

Lani was born Feb. 27, 1974, in Mason City. She was the daughter of Mel and Donna Torkelson. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1992 and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997. Immediately following graduation, she worked for American Enterprise until Oct. 1, 2010.

On Oct. 12, 2002, she married Lance Carson. They made their home in Sheldahl; moving to Huxley; in July 2009.

Lani enjoyed spending time with her children Lindsay, 7, Landan, 5, husband, Lance and many friends. In October 2008 she was diagnosed with breast vancer. She underwent treatment and was thought to be cancer-free in January 2010. However, in April 2010, the cancer had returned with a vengeance. Lani was always concerned for the well-being of others before herself. Even through her treatments she was always afraid of causing hardships on others when she was in need of assistance. Her wonderful smile and gleaming spirit always shined through no matter how badly she felt.

Left to share her memories are her husband, Lance and children - Lindsay and Landan, Huxley, her parents - Mel and Donna Torkelson, Mason City, a brother - Ryan Torkelson and his wife, April and their three children - Tyler, Treyton, Trevor, her mother-in-law - Kaye Carson - Slater, her grandfather - Donald F. GRAETTINGER - Fern D. Dalen, 87, of Graettinger passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.

Fern Delores (Tonneson) Dalen the daughter of Oscar and Lucille (Loch) Tonneson was born April 22, 1923, in Dwight, N.D.

Fern was baptized in North Dakota and was confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1940. Fern worked as a bookkeeper for a time and later as a telephone operator for three years.

On Oct. 14, 1944, she was united in marriage to Morris Dalen in Fairmont, Minn. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Graettinger area for over 60 years. Morris passed away on Jan. 30, 2006.

Fern was a active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of ELCW. She loved farm living, raising their six children, gardening, flowers, sewing, cooking and music.

Left to cherish Fern's memory are her children, Jim Dalen and his wife, Jane of Omaha, Neb.; Richard Dalen and his wife, Kathryn of Estherville; Maureen Sandberg and her husband, Duane of Graettinger; Duane Dalen and his wife, Pat of Oreana, Ill.; Darryl Dalen of Andover, Minn.; Ruth Thill and her husband, Todd of Britt; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Tonneson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara "June" Davis

OSAGE - Barbara "June" Davis, 88, a resident of the I.O.O.F. Home in Mason City, and formerly of Osage, died Monday, April 11, 2011, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

June was born June 30, 1922, at the farm home of her family near Fayette, the daughter of William and Ellen (Payne) Barnes. She graduated from Maynard Consolidated School in 1939 and from Cook's Secretarial School in Oelwein in 1941.

June was married to Warren G. Davis in 1945. They were later divorced. June worked in Indianapolis, Ind., and Oelwein before coming to Osage. From 1960 to 1969, June worked in the Mitchell County Recorder's office, first as deputy and then serving as county recorder. She left public service to manage the Mitchell County Abstract Company from 1969 until her retirement in 1989. After retiring, she worked as a foster grandparent in the elementary schools in Osage for two years, and then for seven years as secretary of the First United Methodist Church in Osage. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hope Circle and the Wa Tan Ye Club.

June is survived by two daughters, Karen (Clinton) Sutton, of Hastings, Minn., Ruth (Fred) Lehmann of Mason City; one son, Paul (Brenda) Davis of Mountain View, Ark.; a son-in-law, Paul Frascht of Grinnell; 11 grandchildren, Jason Frascht of Lawton, Okla., Joel Frascht of Oskaloosa, Dale (Tina) Frascht of Grinnell, Deanna Frascht of Grinnell, Cassie (John) Jacobsen of Rockford, Kyra (Alan) Gaylor of Hastings, Minn., Kelly (Christopher Clemens) Sutton of Newport, Minn., Stacy (Kevin) White of Waterloo, Kari Kubicek of Rochester, Minn., Kane Kubicek of Des Moines, Jennifer (Mike Adams) Blaha of Osage; three step-grandchildren, Charles, Jonathan and Angela Lewis of Ark.; and 25 great-grandchildren.

MASON CITY - Marice McGuire, 93, of Mason City, died in Denver, Colo., on Sunday, April 10, 2011.

Catherine Marice McGuire was born on Sept. 14, 1917, at Mason City, the daughter of David Campbell and Loretta (Kelsh) Campbell. Marice was one of eight children. They lived in Mason City most of the time.

After graduating from Mason City High School, Marice attended beauty college in Waterloo. Upon graduating from beauty college, she was a hair stylist in Mason City for a short time. She was married to Dr. A.W. "Mac" McGuire on Feb. 8, 1941, at Holy Family Catholic Church. After Mac returned from World War II in 1945, they lived continuously in Mason City where Mac operated his dental practice.

Marice was a homemaker for most of her life. Later on in life she owned
and operated the Good Life Lounge which was one of Mason City's finest and most successful establishments. Marice and Mac were married for 61 years when he died in 2002.

Marice had many friends and loved to spend time with her family. She was a very social person who was known for her friendly personality and wit. She had a way of making people laugh even though she often times did not know why. She was a very bright individual who was always there to help others out with her gentle way of giving outstanding advice. She also took a special interest in the poor and the homeless. She will be dearly missed by all.

She had many hobbies and had a great passion for playing golf. She enjoyed bridge and other card games and could be seen at the casino occasionally. She played golf until she was 92 and seldom used a golf cart.

Marice was a former member of the Highland Park Golf Course in Mason City and the Mason City Country Club. She also was a member of various church guilds and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, James P. McGuire and wife, Mary, of Clear Lake; daughter Kathleen Rubin and husband, Larry, of Castle Rock , Colo.; and daughter Nancy McGuire of Castle Rock, Colo.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Render Orr of Denver, Colo., and Virginia Hennessey of Summerville, S.C., and one brother, John Campbell of Naperville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Vernon C. Riekena

RACINE, Wis. - Vernon C. Riekena, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital, Racine, Wis., with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Avenue, Racine, Wis., with the Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Private interment with full military honors will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 3 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation or Atonement Lutheran Church.

Vernon was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Crystal Lake, Iowa, son of the late Henry and Amanda (nee Helm) Riekena.

On March 23, 1963, at Freidens Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Carol L. Kaddatz. Vernon served in the United States Air Force (during the end of the Korean War) from March of 1952 to December of 1955. Vernon earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science and Electronic Technology from DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago, Ill. He worked at Oster Manufacturing as an Engineering Technician for eight years and then as a Test Technician at J.I. Case Company for 27 plus years. After retiring from J.I. Case Company, he worked five years for VRI Technical Services (at J.I. Case Company) retiring in November of 1997.
He attended Atonement Lutheran Church.

Vernon enjoyed playing golf. He enjoyed his grandchildren and especially enjoyed attending their sporting events (hockey, soccer, basketball, and baseball).
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Carol; his children and their spouses, Dwayne (Beth) Riekena of Racine, Darrell (Kimberly) Riekena of Minneapolis, Minn., Deborah (Dan) Andersen of Racine, and Dana (Sean) Traci of Wilmette, Ill.; his eight grandchildren, Justin, Amanda (fiancé, Dylan Sucharda) and Matthew Riekena, Jack Riekena, Nicholas and Alyssa Andersen, Colm and Bridget Traci; his one great-granddaughter, Alexis Riekena; one brother and five sisters, Kenneth (Carol Macken) Riekena of Sun City, Ariz., Vivian Pletcher of Britt, Arlene (George) Schmidt of Garner, Lorraine (Shelly) Bohn of Mason City, Janice (Jim) Marshall of Austin, Minn., and Marilyn (Tom) Haley of Ham Lake, Minn.; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Bernetice Ethel "Bea" Robeson

NORA SPRINGS -Bernetice "Bea" Ethel Robeson, 92, of Nora Springs died Tuesday April 12, 2011, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, with the Rev. Glen Bandell officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd. The family suggests memorials to Bernetice Ethel Robeson memorial fund.
Bea was born June 19, 1918, in Floyd County, the daughter of Arlo and Bessie (Hill) Pyle. She attended school in Chester.

On Jan. 13, 1938, on a dare, she married Lyle O. Robeson. That dare lasted almost 40 years until his death in 1977. They spent their entire married life on a farm south of Nora Springs. She was active with helping with milking the cows, cooking for thrashers and balers, picking up eggs and canning along with keeping up with the three children. Bea remained on the farm for a year or so after the death of her husband Lyle. She then moved to Nora Springs and worked at the Nora Springs Care Center. She eventually moved to Rockford for a few years, but then returned to Nora Springs.

After retiring from the nursing home, she moved to Rosemount, Minn., where her son lived. After a few years she moved back to Nora Springs. Living there for a few years, she went into an assisted living facility in Mason City. Eventually she moved to Illinois to be closer to her daughter. She so yearned to be back in Nora Springs, and in 2007 returned and entered the Nora Springs Care Center.

Bea is survived by her daughter, Doris J. Tourtellott, Streamwood, Ill., and son, Gary Robeson and his wife Lois, Deltona, Fla.; grandchildren, Gordon, Scott and Lance Tourtellott, sons of Doris; Dan Robeson, Dawn Havey and Nicole Bohling, children of son Tom, and Gary's stepchildren, Rick, Ray and Sandy Swendsen; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Vetter, Huntington Beach, Calif., along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lyle in 1977; son Tom in 2003; infant daughter Linda in 1945; son-in-law Gordon Tourtellott in 2002; and brothers Gene and Vernon Pyle.

KENNEBEC, S.D. -Kenyon (Ken) W. Walling, 56, of Kennebec, S.D., died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain, S.D.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, April 14, at 10 a.m. at the Kennebec School Gymnasium.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, April 13, 3:30-5:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Kennebec.

Kenyon "Ken" William Walling was born to Darrold and Alpha (Nack) Walling on July 3, 1954, in Osage. He attended two years at Orchard School and finished his remaining years at Osage Community School, graduating in 1973. Upon his graduation, he joined the
U.S. Navy and was assigned to Fighter Squadron 32 stationed at NAS Miramar, Calif.

Later, the squadron was transferred to NAS Oceana, Va., to introduce the new F-14 Tomcat jet fighter to the East Coast. Ken toured Europe and the Mediterranean Sea aboard the USS John F. Kennedy. He received two letters of commendation, one from Grumman Aerospace Corp., and the other from Pratt & Whitney Engines. Ken was honorably discharged in May 1977.

After being discharged, Ken returned to Orchard. He attended California State University at Chico, Calif., before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, where he finished his undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

After graduating from college, Ken was employed with Jacobson & Sons Construction, building grain elevators and storage facilities as well as handling heavy equipment. In May 1984, Ken came to Kennebec, S.D., to work on the Condo Storage for the Farmers Union Elevator. That same year, Jacobson & Sons declared Bankruptcy, in which Ken went on to work for the SCS. Later, he worked full- time with Kennebec Telephone Company Inc., installing C-band Satellite Dishes for Kennebec CATV. He was faithfully employed by the Kennebec Telephone Company Inc. for over 25 years. In 2005, Ken earned his Master's of Education Degree from Lesley University, Cambridge, Mass.

Ken was a member of the Kennebec Fire Department, serving for more than 25 years as the Fire Department's secretary/treasurer, as well as serving a term as president of the Badland Fire District. He was also an active member of the Johnson-Peterson American Legion Post No. 179 of Kennebec-Reliance, S.D. In 1999, Ken was awarded "Outstanding Citizen of the Year" by the Kennebec Town and Country Club.

On Aug. 27, 1988, Ken Walling was married to Marilyn (Whitney), the daughter of Harold "Lank" and Margaret (Hamer) Whitney, in the United Methodist Church, Kennebec, S.D.

Ken is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his daughter and her fiancée, Kendra and Jordan; and a son, Thomas "Tommy." He is also survived by a sister, Darla and husband Jack Goodale of Stacyville, and a brother, Lon and wife Jean Walling of Milroy, Minn., as well as his father, Darrold Walling of Lucan, Minn., and a step- sister, Sheila and husband Marty Couchman of Lawrence, Kan. He is also survived by Marilyn's brothers and sisters: Bob Whitney, Josie (Whitney) and husband Curly Schoenfelder, Grace (Whitney) and husband Ed Stiefvater, Connie Whitney and wife Wanda, Harriett (Whitney) and husband Jim Ginsbach, and Betty (Whitney) and husband Jerry Worlie.

He was preceded in death by both if his grandparents. Lawrence and Amy (Wetter) Walling and Carl and Ester (Tesch) Nack, his mother, Alpha Walling, one brother, Dan Garret Walling and a step-mother, Marcella (Schleuger) Walling. Ken was also preceeded by Marilyn's brother, Ronnie Whitney.

Leona Marie Enabnit

MARBLE ROCK - Leona M. Enabnit, 77, of Marble Rock died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at the Star Home in Charles City.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Roseville with the Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Roseville Gym with a public Scripture service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services on Saturday.

Leona Marie Klimesh was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Fort Atkinson, Winneshiek Co., the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Wandas) Klimesh. She grew up on a farm east of Protivin. Leona received her education at a Catholic school in Protivin and graduated in 1952 from Rudolphinum High School in Protivin. After graduation she moved to Chicago where she worked as a flight attendant for one year. She then started nurses training at Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids, graduating in 1956 with her RN.
She was united in marriage to Bob Enabnit on Oct. 27, 1956, in Protivin. To this union they were blessed with five children. She worked at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital for the next 30 years as she raised her children.

Leona loved to play cards and was active in several card clubs. She spent many holidays playing cards with her grandkids. She was a huge sports spectator and attended many sporting events to watch her children and grandchildren. Leona enjoyed traveling whenever she could and took several bus trips. She grew a large garden when her children were home and did a lot of canning. Leona also enjoyed working in the flower beds and doing yardwork. She was an avid Hawkeyes fan and watched them on TV whenever she could. She also enjoyed attending shows at NIACC and going to movies. When she had extra time she liked to read.

She is survived by her five children: Mark Enabnit of Marble Rock, Monica (Mark) Heard of Rockford, Melinda (Mike) Kubik of Charles City, Marvin (Liz) Enabnit of Marble Rock, Michelle (Stacey) Jones of Sheffield; 11 grandchildren: Jessica (Tony) Rother, Erin (Roger Uker) Enabnit, Kate Enabnit, Amy (Kevin) Pearce, Tyler Christopherson, Travis Christopherson, Megan Kubik, Dustin Enabnit, Paige (John Martin) Enabnit, Corey Jones and Jenny Jones; two great-grandchildren: Landon Rother and one on the way; six step-children: Stephanie (Greg) Dingel, Andy (Jamie) Heard, Brady Heard, Kaci Heard, Michelle Kubik, Cody Kubik; two step-great-grandchildren: Riley Dingel and Madison Heard.

She grew up in the Hayfield area, and graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1963. She married Clifford Holder, who died in 2007. Prior to moving to the Westview Care Center in Britt she had lived in California and Arizona.

She is survived by one sister, Donna Lackore of Forest City; and five brothers, Jon of Nichols, Michael of Anchor Point, Alaska, Douglas of Homer, Alaska, Raymond of Garner, and Tom of St. Paul, Minn.

Shelby L. Langhoff

MASON CITY - Shelby L. Langhoff, 55, of Mason City died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at her home.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Dan Gerrietts of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Upon her wishes her body was cremated and there will be no viewing.

A gathering of friends and family will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Shelby was born Aug. 30, 1955, the daughter of Myron and Dorothy (Ward) Langhoff. She grew up in Mason City with her four siblings. Shelby graduated from Mason City High School in 1973. She married Walter Mensing and they were blessed with four children. Although the two divorced over 20 years ago, they remained close friends and shared in many family gatherings and joyous events over the years.

Shelby was employed at Principal Financial Group in Mason City for nearly 17 years. Although her work became more physically difficult for her toward the end of her life, she greatly enjoyed her job and especially the company of her co-workers.

Shelby had many friends and loved spending time with her family. She was very proud of her children and was always willing to showoff pictures and stories of her four grandchildren. Shelby enjoyed playing pool, scrapbooking and sewing. She would often take ideas from her favorite HGTV shows and incorporate them into her own home decorating projects.

Shelby was a warm, friendly person who greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word. Her bravery and grace through her illness was inspiring to everyone who knew her. She was a breast cancer survivor for over three and a half years.

Shelby is survived by her children, Cassie (Mensing) and her husband, Eric, Grube of Columbus, Ohio, Alison Mensing of Houston, Texas, Benjamin Mensing of Lacrosse, Wis., and Britney (Mensing) and her husband, Reed, Bowen of Coralville; four grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Langhoff of Mason City and Sharlene (Langhoff) and her husband, Mike, Deardeuff of Rockwell; brother, David Langhoff and his wife, Pam, of Mason City, and five nieces and nephews.

MASON CITY - Audrey J. O'Leary, 81, of Mason City and formerly of Clear Lake passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, surrounded by her family and after a long illness.

A funeral Mass for Audrey will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 5th St. SE, Mason City, with the Rev. Craig E. Steimel officiating. Burial will follow in the Elim Cemetery, Fertile.

Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday.

Audrey was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family and friends.
Audrey Jean Seglem was born in Fertile in 1929. She attended and graduated from Fertile High School and then attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Audrey and Howard were married in Dallas, Texas, in 1950 where their first two daughters were born. They returned to Clear Lake in 1955.

Audrey had many dear friends and spent happy days with her girls at City Beach and visiting family in Fertile. She was an amazing cook, accomplished musician (clarinet), talented seamstress and enjoyed playing bridge. Audrey and Howard lived in Mason City for 14 years and Aud worked with Howard at the family business, Steel Service Co. They returned to Clear Lake in 1982 and she worked beside Howard to build their dream home on the water where she had the best times of her life with family and friends.

Surviving family are her husband of 61 years, Howard; her sister and best friend, Fern (Arden) Midtgaard, Fertile; brother, Jim (Barb) Seglem, Fertile; daughters, Lynn O'Leary, Mason City, Mindy O'Leary, Cedar Rapids, Therese (Rick) O'Leary-Miller, West Bend, Wis., Molly O'Leary-Hatfield, West Bend, Wis., Bridget (Brad) Knepper, Sioux City, and Annie O'Leary, Mason City; grandchildren, Alyssum, Tom, Andy, Nolan, Nick, Alison, Willie, Cameron, Neal, Sam, Lucy, Quin, Matt, and Jake; two great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and many friends.

Harold G. Hays

THOMPSON - Harold G. Hays, 86, formerly of Thompson and most currently residing in Forest Plaza in Forest City, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Eldora.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark Street in Forest City. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson.

Visitation will held on Saturday, April 16, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Harold George Hays, the son of George and Mae (Rossiter) was born July 23, 1924, on a farm near Scarville. At about the age of 3, Harold and his family relocated to their home southwest of Thompson. He attended rural school in King Township and graduated from Thompson High School.

He was united in marriage to Phyllis Kylen on Oct. 11, 1958. Over his lifetime he was an active member of the United Methodist Church and Bethany Lutheran Church in Thompson; and Springs of Life (formerly Highway Chapel) in Forest City. Among church ministries, he served on boards, taught Sunday school, and was usher/greeter.
Harold was devoted to his Lord and Savior. He cared for people very much and often prayed and shared one of his favorite Bible verses with them "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you (1 Peter 5:7). He and Phyllis sponsored several children from Taiwan and Japan many years through the Christian Children's fund (currently Childfund International).

For several years Harold was a member of The Gideons International. He was active in the local Forest City Gideon "camp" distributing many New Testaments purchased by the Gideon organization in schools and jails. He also was active in the jail ministry for the Gideons. He represented the Gideons in Winnebago County churches by sharing the Gideon message: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He loved nature and the outdoors. He was a crop and livestock farmer and assistant to the county surveyor (Laurence Kroeze). Harold enjoyed bird watching, identifying trees, gardening and sharing his fresh produce, raising specialty chickens, raising rare domestic mulefoot hogs, reading (his favorite topics were world events, history and geography) and spending time with his family, including his pet dogs. He also enjoyed music and listening to Phyllis play the organ in their home. Harold had a sense of humor, spontaneously telling jokes and humorous stories.

Harold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Hays; his four children: Jona Hays (Rickie) of Hudson, Wis., Anita Hays (Seymour) of Des Moines, Tim(Jamie) Hays of Faribault, Minn., and Polly (Jeff) Roll of Eldora; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is survived by four sisters: Dorothy Hemmye, Betty Palmer, Helen Southard (Ed) and Leone Leavitt (Glen).

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Sheila Paulete; three brothers-in-law: Bill Wilson, Jerry Palmer and Robert Hemmye; and one son-in-law, Bruce Qualley.

IOWA FALLS - Marie J. Meyer, 100, of Iowa Falls and formerly of Irwin, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 2712 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

The Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls, is in charge of arrangements.

MARBLE ROCK - Marilyn H. Sebaugh, 85, of Marble Rock died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Rockwell Community Nursing Home, Rockwell.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at the Hillside Cemetery in Marble Rock with the Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating.
