Marvin was devoted to his faith. He was a former member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, a current member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is described as a very caring, "one of a kind man" who was a true friend to all! Marvin was known for his constant smile and his happy and positive disposition.

He always placed his family as his greatest priority, enjoyed watching old Western movies, playing cards, going fishing and collecting hats and caps. He loved the color blue!
