Kenneth E. Rasmusson

MASON CITY — Kenneth E. Rasmusson, 76, of Mason City, passed away to the sounds of a fire alarm and fire trucks on Saturday (Sept. 24, 2005) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Curtis DeLong of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Kenneth E. Rasmusson Memorial Fund.

Kenneth E. Rasmusson was born Nov. 12, 1928, the son of Edward and Elnora (Johnson) Rasmusson, the third oldest of eight children, in Crystal Lake.

Kenneth was driven to school in Crystal Lake by a team of horses. When he was ten years old, the family moved to Mason City and he attended Roosevelt School and Mason City High School.

Kenneth worked for Decker’s for a short time and then worked at Al and Dick’s Wrecker service for many years.

All of the boys had a paper route when he began working for the Globe Gazette.

Kenneth poured the lead and kept the building clean. He retired from the Globe Gazette with more than 25 years of service in 1971.

Kenneth then worked odd jobs as a handyman for Lyle Bergo. They became very close friends and remained so until Kenneth’s health began to deteriorate in 2004.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Patsy Berneman, his favorite son-in-law, Bill Berneman, both of Mason City; one granddaughter, Karen England and husband, Aaron, of Mason City; three brothers: Delmond “Dutch” Rasmusson and wife, Bonnie, of Embrass, Minn., Mearle Rasmusson and wife, Linda, of Algona, and Calvin “Chris” Rasmusson and wife, Leann, of Mason City; many nieces and nephews; a grand-kitty, Snoopy; and a great-grand-kitty, Butter-Cup.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elnora; two sisters, Vivian and Marlene; and two brothers, Andrew and Ray.

Mary Ann Vroman


IOWA FALLS — Mary Ann Vroman, 67, of Iowa Falls, died Sunday (Sept. 25, 2005) at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Linn’s Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel, with the family present between 5 and 7 p.m.

Delivan D. Knowles


MASON CITY— Delivan D. Knowles, 77, of 409 25th Street S.W. in Mason City, died Saturday morning (Sept. 24, 2005) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E. in Mason City, with the Rev. Larry Day officiating.

Military respects provided by the Mason City Memorial Association will be conducted during Delivan’s service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fullerton Funeral Home. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Those wishing to extend memorials or expressions of sympathy may direct them to the Delivan D. Knowles Memorial Fund.

Delivan Darius Knowles was born Dec. 23, 1927, near Manly to Clifford and Edna (Marshall) Knowles. He was the oldest of three children born to his parents. He attended school in Manly, graduated from eighth grade in Colwell and attended high school in Rockford.

Delivan was inducted into the United States Navy on Jan. 11, 1946, and served aboard the USS Antietam. After honorably and faithfully serving his designated time in the service, Delivan was formally discharged from his military duties on Nov. 19, 1947, from Alameda, Calif. Delivan re-enlisted in the United States Navy Reserves and served until Oct. 29, 1955.

Delivan was united in marriage to Audrey Lucile Pope on Aug. 8, 1948, at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning at the Lutheran Parsonage in Rockford.

Delivan and Audrey were fond of listening to and dancing to big band, two-step and country music.

They also enjoyed gardening, playing cards with their neighbors, Sunday afternoon rides and taking their family to the drive-in movies.

They became the proud parents of a daughter and three sons.

Delivan took great pride in providing for his family. He was employed at the Oliver Plant in Charles City, American Crystal Sugar Co., and David Manufacturing in Mason City.

At one time, he also farmed in the Mason City and Sheffield areas.

In 1975, Delivan and Audrey moved to their current home in Mason City.

Some of Delivan’s leisure activities and interests included his memberships in the V.F.W. Post 733 and the Moose Lodge, playing cribbage and 500 and teasing his pet parakeet.

His family recalls that he had a great sense of humor, was often heard whistling, and delighted in treating each of his family members to dining out at a restaurant on their birthdays. His children have special memories of spending time with their Dad at the Winnebago River and watching him fish with a cane pole while the kids swam.

Delivan will be dearly missed by family and friends who have shared in his life.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Audrey L. Knowles, of Mason City; his daughter, Lorna (Darwin) Meyer of Sheffield; his three sons: Marshall (Cathy) Knowles of Manly, Clifford (Jolene) Knowles of Urbandale, and Leslie (Sandra) Knowles of Sheffield.

He will also be a cherished memory of his eight grandchildren: Jody Knowles, Jennifer (Mike) Harris, Tawnya (Paul) Willits, Brian (Hollie) Meyer, Melissa Knowles, Aaron Knowles, Breanna Knowles and Michelle Knowles; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Jacquelin Willits; his brother, William (Bud) Knowles of Winlock, Wash.; and half-sister, Lola Orr of Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Preceding Delivan in death are his parents, Clifford and Edna Knowles; his step-father, Lester Myers; his half-brother, Jim Myers; his sister, Alice Vierkant, and his grandson, Spc. Joshua Knowles.

Rosie A. Pagel


OSAGE — Rosie A. Pagel, age 86, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, and formerly of Osage, died Sunday (Sept. 25, 2005) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1202 390th Street, west of Osage, with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, and will continue one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Rosie Augusta Hulda Pagel was born on May 9, 1919, in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Eleanora (Wilde) Hinsman. She was baptized on May 29, 1919, at the home of her parents.

Rosie was confirmed on March 25, 1934, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rock Township. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1938. Rosie married John F. Pagel on June 29, 1941, and they farmed near St. Ansgar, Iowa.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Rosie enjoyed quilting, gardening, traveling, and playing with her grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth J. Pagel and his wife, Jean; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Jessica Pagel, of Rochester, Minn.; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pagel; her parents, Walter and Eleanora (Wilde) Hinsman; one sister, Elsie E. Rachut; and many other relatives.

Ann Viskocil Rolke

OSAGE — Ann Viskocil Rolke, 50, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away after a short courageous battle with cancer, September 19, 2005.

A memorial service was held at the Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel in Greensboro, N.C.

Ann Rolke was born July 16, 1955, in Osage, Iowa, to Edward and Mildred (Spaanum) Viskocil.

She was a 1973 graduate of Osage High School in Osage, Iowa, and a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in consumer science.

 Ann loved working with people and worked many various jobs in human relations.

She was united in marriage to Andy Rolke on Aug. 23, 1980, in Ames, Iowa. She spent the last 11 years working beside her husband in the family business.

She was very active in the tennis community and also enjoyed working in her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Rolke is survived by her husband, W.M. Andy Rolke, of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Laura Rolke; father Edward Viskocil and his wife, Vivian, of Osage; sister, Jane Biddle and husband, Jeff, of Nevada, Iowa; brother, James Viskocil and wife, Cindy, of River Falls, Wis.; four nieces and nephews: Kimberly, John, Jeff, and Justin; and a host of loving extended family members.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, in 1966; grandparents, Sadie and Adolph Spaanum, and John and Victoria Viskocil.

Marvin Alvin Vietor

MARBLE ROCK — Marvin Alvin Vietor, 77, of 2255 240th St., Marble Rock, died Thursday (Sept. 22, 2005) at his farm in rural Marble Rock.

Donald Eugene Whipple

CLEAR LAKE — Donald Eugene Whipple, 85, of 1400 Seventh Ave. N., died Saturday (Sept. 24, 2005) at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St. with the Rev. Thom Christian officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

Donald Eugene Whipple was born on May 1, 1920, in Flint, Mich., the son of George S. and Elizabeth S. (Büttner) Whipple.

Don graduated from Monrovia Arcadia Duarte High School in Arcadia, Calif. After high school he helped with the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Don enlisted in the United States Army on Feb. 15, 1941, and was honorably discharged Dec. 12, 1941.

Don was united in marriage to Nadine Kuns on Feb. 4, 1944, in Las Vegas, Nev.; to this union, Jacqueline Kay was born, and later a daughter, Terrie, was adopted. Don made his home in California for 50 years, working at Beckman Instruments in Fullerton, Calif., up until his retirement.

He moved to Clear Lake in 1982. In 2000, Don and Nadine made their home with Terrie and her family.

Don enjoyed gardening, reading, music, socializing at the Senior Citizens Center, and taking day trips with church groups. He was a past member of the I.O.OF., lifetime member of DAV.

Don is survived by his wife, Nadine, of Clear Lake; daughter, Terrie and her husband, Lee, and their children, Bethanie, Kevin, and Julianne Taylor, of Clear Lake; sister- in-law, Connie (Bob) Tillman, of Green Valley, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Valerie (John) Bridgeman, of Lancaster, Calif., Cheryl (Jim) Goodson, of Lancaster, Calif., Laurie Whipple, of Tujunga, Calif., Steven Whipple, and Gary Whipple, along with great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Don is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jacqueline Kay Whipple; parents, George and Elizabeth Whipple; one infant sister, and one brother, Allan Whipple.

Stanley Ralph Ludeke

CLEAR LAKE — Stanley Ralph Ludeke, 82, of Long Prairie Minn., formerly of Clear Lake and Klemme, died Monday (Sept. 26, 2005) at the Long Prairie Hospital in Long Prairie, Minn. He was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Klemme, the son of Ralph and Mina (Hartzell) Ludeke.

He farmed south of Clear Lake for many years, then moved to Long Prairie in 1966 where he owned a dairy farm.

He was a member of the Clear Lake Methodist Church and later the Long Prairie Baptist Church.

Stanley is survived by five children, Mari K. Wollenburg of Staples, Minn., David Ludeke of Clear Lake, Richard Ludeke of Yuma, Ariz., Morgan Ludeke of St. Cloud, Minn., and Shawn Ludeke of New Brighton, Minn.; sisters June Collins of Mason City and Marilyn Counter of Redfield; and five grandchildren: Chris and Beth Wollenburg and Sarah, Lily and Daisy Ludeke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Doris Dominic.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme.

Sheila R. Edgar

WEST BRANCH — Sheila R. Edgar, 58, of West Branch died on Sunday (Sept. 25, 2005) at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services for Sheila will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Rock Falls United Methodist Church, 1 West Jackson Street, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Jim Turner officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Rock Falls Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the church.

Sheila R. Bohl was born on Sept. 4, 1947, to LeRoy and Geraldine (Harbeson) Bohl in Mason City. She married Gordon R. Edgar on March 21, 1970, in Mason City. She worked at CDS in Wilton, IA.

Sheila volunteered with the Girl Scouts, Meals on Wheels and at the Muscatine Food Pantry. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and bird watching. Above all she loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Gordon Edgar of West Branch; two daughters, Michelle and her husband, Tim Waters, of Cedar Rapids; Erin Edgar and her husband, Hakeem Almabrazi, of Iowa City; one son, Matthew (and his wife, Reannon) Edgar of Slater; her mother, Geraldine Bohl of Mason City; one brother, Dan (and his wife Carol) Bohl of Mason City; and five grandchildren: Andrew, Anna, Tiernen, Sofia and Aiden.

Marjorie Alice Shelton

CLEAR LAKE — Marjorie Alice Shelton, 98, of Clear Lake died Friday (Sept. 23, 2005) at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, 508 Second Ave N. in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Jan Burnett officiating. There will be an Eastern Star service at the church on Monday by members of the Order of the Eastern Star, Unity Chapter No. 58 of Mason City.

Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Tabor City Cemetery in Tabor, Iowa, with the Rev. Tom Clark of the First Congregational United Church of Christ officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Monday at the church.

Marjorie Alice Shelton was born on July 30, 1907, in Hamburg, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Washington and Sarah Estella (Lumm) Parkison. She graduated from Tabor High School in 1925 and completed her education with a B.A. degree in music education from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1929.

She was united in marriage to Lyle Shelton on July 28, 1932, in Tabor, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1990. The family lived in Tabor at the time of their marriage before moving to Kirkman, Iowa, where Marjorie began her teaching career. Marjorie and Lyle also lived in Linden, Iowa, for nine years, Williams, Iowa, for 16 years, and LuVerne, Iowa, for 12 years. While living in LuVerne and Williams, Marjorie taught private piano lessons. In 1973, they retired and moved to Clear Lake.

Marjorie loved music and was an avid reader.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s circle in Clear Lake, Eastern Star, PEO, and the Progress Club, all in Clear Lake, and she was also a member of the Retired Teachers of Mason City.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Lee M. Shelton and his wife, Rosemary, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, three nieces; and several grandnieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband Lyle, Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Marlene Shelton; two sisters and two brothers.

CHARLES CITY — Gloria Crumpton, 68, of Manchester, formerly of Charles City, died Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005) at Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Gloria Ann Holm Crumpton was born July 18, 1937, at St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Victor and Lorraine (Zimmerman) Holm. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School.

On Nov. 7, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jim Crumpton at Toeterville. Gloria worked with her husband at Salsbury Farm, then at Home Health for several years and then as secretary at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church for 15 years.

She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught confirmation and Sunday school and belonged to Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and Altar Guild. Gloria also worked with Meals on Wheels, was an avid reader and also liked to sew and cook.

She will always be remembered for being a compassionate and concerned friend. Family was always a very important part of her life and she looked forward to being with them and spoiling the grandchildren. Gloria always enjoyed preparing those “specialty” dishes for each one of her family.

Living family members include four children and their families: Jon (Alicia) Crumpton of Tempe, Ariz., Val (Keith) Onken and Jamie of Charles City, Tracy (T.J.) Paul F. Cota was born May 20, 1912, the son of Frank and Mary (Hinkel) Cota in Mason City. He worked as a projectionist beginning in 1929 for the Park 70, Cecil, Palace, Strand and Cinema V Theaters and did so for 60-plus years until he was 89.

Paul attended school in Mason City and graduated from Mason City High School in 1931.

He was united in marriage to Mae Betty Kellum on Oct. 17, 1932, in Elks Point, S.D. In 1944, Paul entered the United States Army during World War II. He was in the 10th Armored Infantry Battalion, serving in three campaigns. For his service, Paul received two Purple Hearts and one Silver Star and was honorably discharged in 1945. Paul also worked for Kellum’s Interiors for 35 years.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the American Legion, and was the local business agent for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

He also enjoyed golfing, fishing in Canada, reading, walking and raising his family.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Joanne Austin of California; sons, Fred Cota and wife, Nancy, of Elizabethtown, Ill., and John Cota and wife, Marcia, of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Louis F. Cota of Mason City; sister, Marie E. Chapdelaine of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Cota; wife, Mae Betty Cota; and one brother, Eugene Cota.

BRITT — Charles Mitchell Hiscocks, 8, of Britt passed away Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005) at his home with his mother by his side.

Charlie was born March 15, 1997, in Algona, Iowa. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Britt and re-affirmed his faith with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ in April 2002. Charlie was a third-grader at Britt Elementary School where he enjoyed race cars, football and playing with his friends.

Charlie fought cancer for five years and his courage, strength and sense of humor were an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

Delbert William Floy

THORNTON — Delbert William Floy, 78, 302 Second St. N.E. in Mason City, formerly of Thornton, died Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Delbert was born Feb. 28, 1927, at Thornton, Iowa, the son of Christian C. and Anna Wilemina (Schmale) Floy. He attended Thornton Public School. Delbert enlisted and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.

He was united in marriage to Mary Madden on Sept. 8, 1951, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Delbert farmed for more than a decade before battling a health illness that left him unable to farm. He will always be a farmer at heart. He obtained his NASD securities license and sold insurance for a period of time before being elected to serve Iowa as a state senator for Cerro Gordo County. Delbert was a state senator from 1965-1967, and in that time he helped establish many community colleges throughout Iowa and also wrote a law for Iowan’s to obtain GEDs. He enjoyed reading and was a zealous advocator of education. After serving in the senate, Delbert became the Thornton postmaster and was postmaster until his retirement.

Delbert was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Thornton American Legion, and as a past charter member of the Lion’s Club.

Delbert enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Delbert is survived by his three children: Chris Floy of Thornton, Dr. Stephanie (Mark) Nelson of Urbandale and Regina (Larry) Toresdahl of Clear Lake; five grandchildren: Gerilynn Toresdahl of Ukraine, Shennen Floy of Boston, Mass., Jonathan Nelson of Ames, Barnes Toresdahl of Clear Lake and Kathryn Nelson of Ames; and one brother, Oscar Floy, of Sheffield. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in law, Rosalie Woodhouse of Mason City, John (Barb) Madden of Overland Park, Kan., Jean (Joe) Bamrick of Rockwell and Tom (Eleanor) Madden of Mason City; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and his wife, Mary, who passed away on April 14, 2000.

Marjorie Marion Mills was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Floyd County to Oren and Maurice (Marsten) Mills. She was the third of seven children. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Floyd High School in 1946.

On May 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Don Roberts, at the Methodist parsonage in Charles City. The couple spent their lives living in the Floyd area.

Marjorie worked with the Dr. Mayfield Lab for almost 25 years and also worked with Smith Jewelry.

She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd. She sang in the choir and was a member of the church circle and Bible Study Group. Marge loved her Lord.

She was also a member of the Floyd Card Club. Marge loved to shop and enjoyed clothes, jewelry and shoes. She spent time working on crossword puzzles, rearranging her home and going to the movies. She especially enjoyed dancing and traveling.

Living relatives include one son, Galen (Deb) Roberts of Floyd; two daughters, Colleen (Alan) Aird of Charles City and Judy (Patrick) Barrett of Floyd; five grandchildren: Zachary and Tyson Roberts, Aaron Aird and Angela Vanek and Sara Paulus; one step-grandchild, Anne Nelson; two brothers, Wayne Mills of Osage and Gary Mills of Charles City; three sisters, Thelma Sills of Charles City, Eleanor Waid of Floyd and Shirley Krutsinger of Mason City.

CLEAR LAKE — Lorraine Arlene Buseman-Rooks-Woiwod, 78, of 904 S. 14th St., died Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2005), at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Lorraine Arlene Eden was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Titonka, the daughter of Enno and Lena (Stohr) Eden. Lorraine attended the Clear Lake Schools and worked in the Clear Lake area at different jobs.

She was united in marriage to Wayne Buseman on Aug. 24, 1946, in Clear Lake; to this union one daughter was born, Connie. After they were married they moved to the Klemme area. In 1961, they moved to Preston, where she started working as a lab tech for Minetz Creamery. Wayne died June 7, 1967. Lorraine moved to Mason City, where she started working for State Brand Creamery and then St. Clair Starks as a seamstress.

Lorraine was united in marriage to Raymond Rooks on Nov. 1, 1969, in Nashua.

They lived on a farm south of Clear Lake. She was a homemaker and helped with the farm work. At the farm Lorraine loved hosting meals and big parties. Together they went camping and traveling all over. They wintered in Florida for many years. They belonged to the Muddy Pond CB Club.

Lorraine and Raymond loved to go dancing at the Surf in Clear Lake. Raymond died April 29, 1989. Lorraine continued to live on the farm until later in 1989 when she moved to Clear Lake. She was united in marriage to Ronald Woiwod in June of 2000.

Lorraine loved sewing, camping, dancing, socializing and cooking; her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Mason City, and Zion Lutheran Church of Clear Lake.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Connie (Wayne) Pals of Thornton; step-daughter, Valera Rooks-Coyier-Hovelson of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Chad (Paula) Pals of Britt; Lisa (Curt) Studer of Clear Lake; stepgranddaughter, Dawn (Jody) Coyier-Brosdahl of Gretna, Neb., along with six other step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Nelson of Mason City, and Vera Osnes of Covina, Calif.; special dogs Buddy and Ming; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brice Matthew Stevenson was born on May 25, 1949, in Elma, Iowa, the son of Brice M. and Carmella M. (Althof) Stevenson. He attended and received his education in the Elma Community School.

He was united in marriage to Carla Kooiman on Feb. 11, 1977, in Sioux Falls, S.D., and to this union two sons were born, Cory and Jeff Stevenson.

Brice worked as a security guard for Winnebago Industries in Forest City for many years and also worked as a salesman for Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Co. in Mason City for several years.

Brice enjoyed playing pool, model trains, fishing, was an avid Minnesota Twins baseball fan, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his ’57 Chevrolet.

Kris and Greg were foster parents for 15 years. She also enjoyed serving as a Girl Scout leader, crocheting, Bible study, camping, fishing and travel.
