** MARIE C. KREINER

HAMPTON - Marie C. Kreiner, 83, of Hampton, died Tuesday (March 9, 1999) at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Rev. Michael Bahde and the Rev. Janet Wearda officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton.

** TED CRABTREE

SHEFFIELD - Ted Crabtree, 74, of Sheffield, died Tuesday (March 9, 1999) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Sheffield. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Grarup Funeral Home, Sheffield.

** EVELYN WHEELER

GOLDFIELD - Evelyn Wheeler, 81, of Goldfield, died Tuesday (March 9, 1999) at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Goldfield, with the Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m.

** BARBARA C. CARBERRY

MASON CITY - Barbara C. Carberry, 84, of 915 N. Pierce Ave., died Tuesday (March 9, 1999) at the Manly Nursing & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. David Shogren officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Barbara C. Carberry was born April 3, 1914 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara (Stazel) Ginder. Barbara attended school in Kansas City. She moved to Britt, Iowa and then to Mason City in the 1930's.

Barbara worked for Jacob E. Decker & Sons for over 35 years, retiring in August of 1975.

She married Cecil L. Carberry on Sept. 5, 1953 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Barbara enjoyed bowling, ceramics, crafts, camping and fishing with her husband. She enjoyed gardening and had a "green thumb."

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Carberry and his wife, Mara, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Tyler and Shannon; one sister, Rose Henson, of Newton, Kansas; and several nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil in December of 1998; a twin sister, Anna Perkins; sisters, Marie Bradford and Catherine Kirk; and one brother in infancy.

** TERENCE CLARK 'TERRY' LANE

MASON CITY - Terence Clark "Terry" Lane, 77, of 816 16th St. N.E., Mason City, died Wednesday (March 10, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. David R. Shogren officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday.

** CODY LYLE MULLENBECK

LATIMER - Cody Lyle Mullenbeck, infant son of Todd and Linda (Brady) Mullenbeck, of Latimer, was stillborn Wednesday (March 10, 1999) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

There will be private family services on Saturday, March 13, 1999.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Willim Funeral Home, in Latimer.

** INA MAE MEYER

MASON CITY - Ina Mae Meyer, 85, 1401 10th St. S.W., Mason City, Iowa and formerly of Charles City, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center, West Campus, Mason City, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, 1999, at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street, Charles City. The Reverend Dennis D. Niezwaag, Senior Pastor, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Charles City, will officiate. Burial will be in the Beckwith Cemetery, rural Colwell, Iowa.

Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Friday morning.

Mrs. Meyer, the former Ina Mae Lockie, was born March 1, 1914 in Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert Arthur and Lura Grace (Munson) Lockie. She was raised in McIntire, Iowa, and graduated from Charles City Community High School in 1931.

In 1933, she was united in marriage to Emil Edward Meyer. The couple made their home on farms in the Charles City, Bassett and Chickasaw areas, where Mrs. Meyer assisted her husband in farming operations. Mr. Meyer died in 1956. Mrs. Meyer moved with her son to Charles City. In 1961, they made their home in Mason City. While in Mason City, Mrs. Meyer was a cook at the former Mercy Hospital for two years and for 11 years at the former Americana Care Center. On the farm and as a cook, Mrs. Meyer was noted as a very diligent and conscientious worker. Her work ethnic carried over to the time she loved to spend in her vegetable garden and her knitting and crocheting handiwork.

Living family members include her son, Karl, of Mason City; a stepsister, Gweneth Ogilvie, of Florida; and a half sister, Donna Nelson, of Washington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lee Meyer, who died at the age of 4 months.

** WINNEFRED DUITMAN

EL PASO, Texas - Winnefred Duitman passed away Sunday, March 7, 1999 at Sierra Medical Center, El Paso, of complications from heart surgery.

Winnefred Twyford Duitman was born in Bradford, Arkansas on May 28, 1911, and grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She married Allan Duitman in Chicago on June 9, 1931. Allan preceded in her death in June of 1991 after nearly 60 years of marriage.

Winnefred was a resident of Mason City from 1938 to 1945 and of Charles City from 1945 to 1949. She was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Winnebago Council while in Mason City and was assistant manager for Sears in Charles City. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Christ. The Duitmans then relocated to the Southwest and had lived in El Paso for 45 years.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Macuich and husband, John, of El Paso; a son, Allan Jr., and his wife, Sandi, of Mason City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment will be in El Paso, Texas.
