Alice L. Herman
GLENVILLE, Minn. 

    The funeral service for Alice L. Herman of Glenville, Minn.,
will  be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in
Glenville.   The Rev. David Hernes and intern Ruthann Holm will be
officiating.   Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville. 
There will be  no visitation.  Bonnerups in Albert Lea, Minn. is in
charge of the  arrangements.

Alice L. Herman died Wednesday (July 19, 1995) at Naeve Hospital,
Albert Lea, at the age of 95.

She was born April 27, 1900, in Gordonsville, Minn., to 
Charles Seuser and Mary (nee) Thompson Seuser.  
She was married in 1918 to Ross Herman in Gordonsville.  She has 
resided in Freeborn County all her life.  She attended school near 
Gordonsville.  She attended the Methodist Church in Gordonsville 
and Glenville.

She is survived by her three children, Verle Herman and wife, 
Leona Herman of Glenville, Mary Jaspers of Northwood, Iowa, and 
Bonnie Hengesteg and husband, Truman Hengesteg of Northwood;  17
grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-
grandchildren; one sister, Trulie Sime of Albert Lea; and nieces 
and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers,
four sisters, one son, one grandson, one great-grandson, and two
sons-in-law.

ALEXANDER 

     Helen Mae Campbell, 70, died Wednesday (July 19, 1995) at 
North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the First
Reformed Church with the Rev. James Turner officiating.  Burial
will be in Alexander Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sietsema-Vogel
Funeral Home, Hampton.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Campbell of Alexander; three
sons, Gary Campbell of Camarill, Calif., Jerry Campbell of Clear
Lake, and Don Campbell of Latimer; two daughters,  Karen
Bartholomew of Mason City, and Jeanne Yerman of Thousand Oaks,
Calif.; four sisters, Reva Powell of Jefferson, Ruth Gunderson of
Glenwood, Minn., Marge McDonald of Estherville, and Muriel Kumba 
of Fairmont, Minn.; two brothers, Ralph Perkins of Clear
Lake, S.D., and Harry Perkins of Estherville; and 14 grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

CHARLES CITY  

     Irene P. Hickethier, 94, died Thursday (July 20, 1995) at 
Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.

Graveside memorial funeral services will be held at a later date at
Hampton Cemetery.  Her body has been donated to the University of
Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines.  The
Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, Charles City, is in charge of
arrangements. 
Those considering an expression of sympathy may consider memorials
in Mrs. Hickethier's name to a Wildlife Feeding Program in care of
Jacobs Elevator, Charles City, or the Charles City Animal Shelter
in care of Jody Meyer, City Clerk, City Hall, Charles City.

Irene P. DuClos Hickethier was born Sept. 17, 1900 in Hampton. 
There are no immediate survivors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

Ada L. Ward
MASON CITY 

      Ada L. Ward, 95, of 2349 20th St. S.W., died Thursday  (July
20, 1995) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at
the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with
Deacon Warren Frelund of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until time of
services on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or
Hospice of North Iowa.

Ada L. Ward was born March 31, 1900 in Hancock, Iowa, the daughter
of William Simon and Katherine (nee) Young Simon.  Mrs. Ward worked
19 years for Younkers until her retirement in 1962.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two sons, Sherman Ward and his wife, Ruth Ward of
Mason City, and Jack L. Ward of Warrensburg, Ill.; three daughters,
Gladys Lewis and her husband, Robert Ward of Charles City,  Margie
Stearns of Willits, Calif., and Dorothy Rugger of Mason City;  14
grandchildren;  24 great-grandchildren; seven
great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Simon and his
wife, Bonnie Simon of Rockwell. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Ward;
one grandson, Jerry; one sister, Lottie Christensen; six brothers,
Oscar Simon, Richard Simon, Clarence Simon, Charley Simon,  Irvin
Simon and Gilbert Simon.

CLARION 

     Charles H. Gaster, 95, died Thursday (July 20, 1995) at his
home. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Graceland
Cemetery, Webster City, with the Rev. Omar Pettersen officiating. 
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Willim Funeral
Home.

Charles H. Gaster was born Jan. 18, 1900 in Wright County. 
Survivors include one son, Donald Gaster of Clarion; and one
sister, Vivian Campbell of Ft. Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, two
sisters, and one daughter.

Harold R. Schwartz
KLEMME 

     Harold R. Schwartz, 65, died Friday (July 21, 1995) at
Muse-Norris  Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel
Reformed United Church of Christ with the Rev. William H. Green
officiating.  Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery with military
rites at the graveside.

Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home. 
Harold R. Schwartz was born July 28, 1929 in Klemme.

Survivors include two sisters, Christina Olsen and Caroline
Kluckhohn,  both of Klemme; and one brother, Herbert Schwartz of
Belmond. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Myrtle Elizabeth Fuller
BELMOND 

Myrtle E. Fuller, 97, died Friday (July 21, 1995) at Belmond Health 
Care Center.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at 
the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with the Rev. David
Dailey officiating.  Burial will be in Jackson Township Cemetery,
Owasa. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral
Home, Belmond, and at 10 a.m. Monday at the church in Iowa Falls. 

Myrtle Elizabeth Fuller was born May 22, 1898 in Speerfish, S.D. 
Survivors include one son, Lloyd of Belmond; four grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one
half-sister, Mrs. Foy Smith of Joy, Ill.; and one half-brother,
Orville Lamb of Eldora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters,
two brothers, and a daughter.

Joseph James VanEvery
CHARLES CITY 

     Joseph J. Van Every, 75, of Charles City, and formerly of Long
Beach, Calif., died Saturday (July 22, 1995) at Floyd County
Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday (July 24, 1995) at
Grace Episcopal Church.  Burial will be at a later date. 
There was no visitation.  Hauser Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.

Joseph James Van Every was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Huxley, Alberta,
Canada.

Survivors include his wife, Millie VanEvery of Charles City; one
daughter, Barbara Hugh of Charles City; one son, Daniel Hugh of
Charles City; one grandchild; and two sisters, Mildred Smith of
Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, and Olive Collins of Calgary,
Alberta, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three
brothers.
