Duane Ralph Heller
ORCHARD 

     Duane Ralph Heller, 69, of Missoula, Mont., formerly of
Orchard,  Iowa, died Saturday (June 17, 1995).  The body was
cremated.  Graveside  inurnment services will be held at 9 a.m.
Saturday (July 1, 1995)  at the Orchard Cemetery, with the Rev.
Jerry Newland officiating.  There will be a flag presentation by
the Osage American Legion Post 278. Champion Funeral Home, Osage
is in charge of local arrangements. 

Duane Heller was was born June 1, 1926 to Ralph Heller and 
Myrtle (nee) Wetter Heller.

As a youth, he lived in Orchard and graduated from Orchard High
School in 1944.  He entered the United States Army after high
school.   Following his Army discharge, he was employed by
Phillips 66 Company  in the state of Washington.  He lived in
Missoula, Mont. for many years. 
Survivors include an uncle, Martin Wetter of Osage; and two
aunts, Amy Walling and Hazel Ball, both of Osage, and several
cousins. 

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Dorothy Donhough
BUFFALO CENTER
 
     Dorothy Donhough, 82, of Buffalo Center, died at the State
Care  Center, State Center, Iowa.  Funeral services will be held 
10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Buffalo Center, 
with the Rev. Gary Bergman officiating. Burial will be in the 
Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center.   Visitation will be from 
5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Winter Funeral Home, Buffalo Center and 
one hour prior to services at the church.

Dorothy was born March 14, 1913 in Buffalo Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley McBride and her husband, 
Robert of Marshalltown, and Carol Espeland and her husband,
Arden,  of Ellston; eight grandchildren, Wayne Espeland, Curtis
Espeland,  Robert McBride, Cary Kiner, June Burns, Julie Carty, 
JoEllyn Chesick and Connie Robertson; 14 great-grandchildren; 
and three sisters, Josephine Balvance of Buffalo Center, 
Mary Ellen Ross of Marshalltown, and Bertha Roth and her 
husband, George of Woden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband,  her
second husband, five sisters, two brothers, and one daughter.

Lola I. Follmuth
Lola Follmuth (nee) Tipton
MASON CITY 

     Lola I. Follmuth, 75, of 238 23rd St. S.W., died Wednesday 
June 28, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.  Funeral 
services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James
Lutheran  Church, 1148 Fourth St. S.E., with the Rev. David
Anderson  officiating.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Visitation will  be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson
Funeral Home, 111 N.  Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to
service time Saturday at  the church.  Memorials may be given to
the Lola I. Follmuth Memorial Fund. 

Lola I. Follmuth was born Oct. 12, 1919, at Centerville, the 
daughter of Clint Tipton and Fannie (nee) Seals Tipton.  She 
graduated from Mason City High School and on June 5, 1940, she 
married Duane E. Follmuth in Mason City.  She worked in food
service  through the years and retired from working in the North
Iowa  Area Community College cafeteria.  She lived at Grant
Village  for 10 years, then moved to her current address.   She
was a  member of St. James Lutheran Church, Hope Circle and
enjoyed  camping, knitting and crocheting.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. and husband, 
Merle Brandau, Mason City; four sons, James R. Follmuth and wife, 
Carol Follmuth; Jack L. Follmuth and wife, Rita Follmuth; and 
Bob Follmuth and wife, Kathy Follmuth, all of Mason City,  and
Roy L. Follmuth and wife, Susan Follmuth, Long Beach,  Calif.; 10
grandchildren, Curtis Follmuth, Nicholas Follmuth,  John
Follmuth, Ed Follmuth, Jeff Follmuth, Eric Follmuth,  Carrie
Follmuth, Tina Brandau, Kimberly Follmuth and Lisa Follmuth, 
seven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Velma Tipton, 
Upland, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, 
Duane, in 1983; and a brother, Roy Tipton.

Margaret L. McLaughlin
Margaret McLaughlin (nee) Gaubatz
MASON CITY 

     Margaret L. McLaughlin, 81, of 823 12th St. N.E., died 
Wednesday (June 28, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith
Baptist  Church, 1807 S. Kentucky Ave., with the Rev. Miles M.
Grismore  officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. 
Visitation  will begin at 5 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial
Chapel,  126 Third St. N.E., and one hour prior to time of
services  Saturday at the church.

Margaret McLaughlin was born July 19, 1913, at Eldora, the
daughter  of Jacob Gaubatz and Dorothea (nee) Schwalm Gaubatz. 
She married  Michael ``Joe'' McLaughlin in April 1940, in Mason
City.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Hart and husband,
Robert,  Mason City; one son, David McLaughlin and wife, Vicki,
Stacy, Minn.;  three grandchildren, Candace Ashour and husband,
Eiman, Memphis,  Tenn.; Meagen McLaughlin, Mankato, Minn., and
Sean McLaughlin,  Stacy, Minn.; one sister, Dorothy "Babe"
McCaulley, Sioux Falls,  S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters 
and five brothers.

Kate T. Miller
AREDALE 
Kate T. Miller, 94, of Aredale, died Wednesday (June 28, 1995)  at
Shell Rock Care Center, Shell Rock.  Funeral services will be  held
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Aredale United Methodist Church,  with
the Rev. Kate Bell officiating.  Burial will be in Harlan 
Cemetery, rural Dumont.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Sietsema-Vogel 
Funeral Home, Dumont.

Kate T. Miller was born July 11, 1900, in Butler County.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Miller, Mason City, and 
Robert Miller, Fremont, Mich.; three sisters, Margaret Schrage, 
Allison; Frances Woodstock, Waterloo, and Esther Kimball,  Seiling,
Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and  and four
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, 
one son, three grandsons, two sisters and five brothers.

CHARLES CITY 

     June I. King, 77, of Charles City, died Wednesday (June 28,
1995)  at North Iowa Mercy Heath Center, Mason City.  Funeral
services will  be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sunnyside Chapel,
Charles City, with  the Rev. Kathleen May King of First
Congregational Church, Rockwell,  officiating.  Burial will be in
Sunnyside Memory Gardens.  Visitation  will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at Sunnyside Chapel and Funeral  Home, U.S. Highway 18 S.,
and one hour prior to service time Monday  at the chapel. 
Memorials may be given to the family.

June I. King was born June 29, 1917, in Minnesota.

Survivors include two sons, Gene P. King, Mason City, and  Lester
King Jr., Oregon, Wis.; two sisters, Betty Blunt and  Joy Solum,
both of Mason City; six grandchildren; and 11 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son,  one
great-grandson and three brother

Matilda `Tillie' Peterson
Matilda `Tillie' (nee) Brekke
LAKE MILLS 

     M. ``Tillie'' Peterson, 91, of Lake Mills, died Thursday 
(June 29, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Salem 
Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, with the Rev. Roger Dykstra 
officiating.  Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mittelstadt Funeral 
Home and one hour prior to service time Monday at the church. 
Matilda Peterson, better known to as ``Tillie,'' was born  Nov. 25,
1903, the daughter of Anna Midthun and Amund Brekke from Frost,
Minn.  She grew up there with her parents; two brothers,  Andy and
Eddie; and four sisters, Mable, Doris, Pearl and Bea. Ref: Andy

In December 1922, Tillie found Rolf Maurstad, a section foreman for 
Chicago North West Railroad in Lake Mills and they were married 
Dec. 19, 1922.  From this marriage came Viola Romaine and Karen
Lee. Living in Lake Mills, Tillie was known for being a telephone 
operator  in her earlier years. On Oct. 21, 1951, Rolf passed on. 
 Tillie was alone until 1958 when she met Pete T. Peterson and 
they were married March 1, 1958.

Tillie was very active in her church, Winnebago Lutheran, for  many
years.  She also was a member of Rebekahs and Eastern Star,  and
was a bowler.

On Jan 26, 1986, Pete also passed on.  Then Tillie joined the Salem 
Lutheran Church.  She lived for going up to the senior center 
playing bingo and cards.  Not much could keep her down. The  center
was her home away from home.

Survivors include two daughters, Viola Bendickson and 
Karen Rasmusson and husband, Ronald Rasmusson, all of Lake Mills; 
one stepson, Phillip Peterson and wife, Norma, Lake Mills;  many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces  and nephews;
and two sisters-in-law, Clarice Brekke, Frost,  Minn., and Alma
Maurstad, Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, 
Rolf and Pete; four sisters, Mable, Doris, Pearl and Bea;  and two
brothers, Andy and Eddie.

Marjorie Heusman
Marjorie Heusman (nee) Thorson
OSAGE 

     Marjorie Heusman, 78, of Osage, died Wednesday (June 28, 1995) 
at Mitchell County Regional Health Center.  Funeral services will 
be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with  the
Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating.  Burial  will
be in the Osage Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. 
Sunday at Champion Funeral Home.

Marjorie Heusman was born Dec. 27, 1916, at Bruce, Wis.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Heusman, Osage; one son,  Gary
Heusman, Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Harriett Naden,  Camas, Wash.; 
three brothers, Raymond Thorsen, Dayton, Ky.;  Hubert Thorsen,
Osage, and Russell Thorsen, Rockford, Ill.;  four grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sidney `Sid' Gunderson
NORTHWOOD 

     Sidney ``Sid'' Gunderson, 77, of Northwood, died Friday  (June
30, 1995) at his home in Northwood.  Funeral services will be  
1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with the 
Rev. Mark Bents and the Rev. Tom Hankins officiating. Burial will 
be in the Kensett Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. 
Sunday, with the family greeting friends from 3 to 7 p.m. at the 
Conner Colonial Chapel, 99-11th St., S., Northwood, and one hour 
prior to service time on Monday at the church.

Sidney ``Sid'' Gunderson was born on Nov. 15, 1917, near Kensett, 
the son of Dreng Gunderson and Ella (nee) Bakken Gunderson.  He was
baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Bethany  Lutheran
Church in Kensett.

He grew up in the Kensett and Hanlontown area and received his 
education in the rural Kensett schools.   He farmed with his 
family and worked for the local John Deere dealer prior to 
enlisting in the United States Army in 1942 as an airplane 
mechanic during World War II.  After his honorable discharge  in
1946, he returned to Worth County and began a long career  as a
mechanic for various John Deere implement dealers in  Northwood
until his retirement from Northwood Equipment in 1983.  He
continued to work there part time until shortly before his death. 
After his retirement his work became his hobby.

He was united in marriage to Elaine Albertson Askildson on  Oct.
11, 1952, at the Methodist Parsonage in Albert Lea, Minn. He was a
member of the First Lutheran Church in Northwood. 
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Gunderson of Northwood;  one
daughter, Sara Helling of Burnsville, Minn.; two sons,  Lynn
Gunderson and his wife, Mary, of Northwood, and 
Dreng Gunderson and his wife, Jorene of Northwood; six 
grandchildren, Erin and Lindsay Gunderson, Laura, Jennifer  and
Alicia Helling and Aaron Gunderson, as well as other 
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, 
one brother and a granddaughter.

Darrell Vernon Linden
HARLAN 

     Darrell Vernon Linden, the son of Oscar Linden and 
Edith (nee) McKeighan Linden was born June 12, 1912, 
at Naper, Neb. Darrell died on Sunday (June 25, 1995) at the 
Hospice Family Care at Glendale, Ariz., having attained the age  of
83 years and 12 days.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.  Friday
(June 30, 1995) at the First United Methodist Church in  Harlan,
with the Rev. Paul Wilcox officiating.  Interment was in  the
Harlan Cemetery with Keith Bauer, Darrel Mathiasen, 
Jane Schmidt, Jeff Lansman, Mervin Schnack and Shirley Troll 
serving as casket bearers.  Pauley Funeral Home, Harlan, was  in
charge of funeral arrangements. 

Darrell graduated from Tennant High School.

On May 28, 1936, he was united in marriage to Velma Kirby at the 
First United Methodist Church, Harlan. Three sons were born to 
this union.  After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Linden farmed  in
the Shelby, Pottawattamie and Cass County areas.  In 1966 they 
moved to Tennant, and in 1970 moved into their home in Harlan. 
Darrell retired in 1977.

After the death of his wife on Nov. 14, 1986, Darrell continued  to
reside in his own home until recently when he made his home  with
his son in Arizona.

Darrell was a member of First United Methodist Church in 
Harlan.  He loved to read and listen to music as well as visiting 
with other people.  He was devoted to his wife, Velma.  Much of 
his later life was occupied by his personal care for her.

He is survived by his sons, Eric Linden and his wife, Charlotte
Linden,  of Mason City; Arno Linden and his wife, Judy Linden of
Phoenix, Ariz.,  and Orin Linden and his wife, Sandy Linden of the
Philippine Islands;  eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren;
two great-grandchildren;  and two stepgreat-grandchildren; his
sisters and brothers,  Esther Linden of Tennant; Helen and her
husband, Edwin Hirschkorn of  Kerman, Calif.; Dallas Linden of
Tennant; Wilma and her husband,  Howell McClure of Kingfield,
Maine; Douglas Linden and his wife,  Ellen Linden of Harlan; and
Dewey Linden and his wife, Dorothy Linden  of Elk Horn; nieces and
nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his
parents and his wife, he was preceded in  death by three brothers,
David, Dana and Duane Linden.

Delbert B. Lindaman
WELLSBURG 

     Delbert B. Lindaman, 78, of Wellsburg, died Thursday  (June
29, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the East 
Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley, with the Rev. Doug
House  officiating.  Interment will be in East Friesland Cemetery,
Ackley. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the
Brandt-Fritz  Funeral Home in Ackley, and one hour prior to
services Monday at  the church.

Delbert B. Lindaman was born July 12, 1916, in Ackley, to  Richard
Lindaman and Tillie (nee) Hickman Lindaman.   
He attended German Township #5 schools.  He was in the 
United States Army 94th Infantry Division from October 
of 1942 to February of 1944.

He was united in marriage to Hilda Ruter on Dec. 12, 1945, at  the
Wellsburg Reformed Church. He was a farmer by occupation. He was a
deacon and elder of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church  and was
on the Farm Bureau of Grundy County.

He is survived by one son, Douglas Lindaman and his wife, Rose Mary
of  Ackley; one daughter, Troyce Fisher and her husband, Jon, of 
Clear Lake; three grandsons, Blake Lindaman of Clear Lake,  Jeffrey
Douglas Lindaman and Steven Robert Lindaman, both of  Ackley; and
one brother, Fred Lindaman of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hilda; one
brother,  John R. Lindaman; and one sister, Mary Cobie.

Beverly A. Larsen
Beverly A. Larsen (nee) Arickx 
OSAGE 

     Beverly A. Larsen, 53, of Osage, died Thursday (June 29, 1995) 
at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.  Funeral 
services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating.  Burial 
will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at  2
p.m. Sunday at Champion Funeral Home,  with a 3 p.m. rosary 
service and a 7:30 p.m. rosary service.

Beverly Larsen was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Osage.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Sutherland of 
Sherman, Texas, and Stephanie Benttine of St. Ansgar; three sons, 
Todd Machin and Troy Machin, both of Osage, and Tim Machin of 
Manly; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Catherine ``Katie'' Arickx of 
Osage; and one brother, Greg Arickx of Osage.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Harvey Scheidecker
Green

     Harvey Scheidecker, 69, of 219 E. South St., Greene, died 
Thursday (June 29, 1995) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, 
Charles City.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday 
at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with 
John McNeil of the Bible Truth Hall officiating. Burial will be  in
the Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua.  Visitation will be from 1 to  9
p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of 
service on Monday.

Harvey Scheidecker was born June 30, 1925, in Butler County. 
He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Hunt of Anoka, Minn.; 
Louise Scheidecker of Greene, and Martha Imig of Wausau, Wis. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Evaline C. Heit
CHARLES CITY 

     Evaline C. Heit, 85, Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home, and 
formerly of 503 Second Ave., Charles City, died Thursday 
(June 29, 1995) at the nursing home.  A funeral Mass will be held 
at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 
Highway 18 and Clark Streets.  Visitation will be held from 2 to 
9 p.m. Sunday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with 
a 7:30 p.m. Scriptural wake service. There will be further 
visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Other arrangements are incomplete at the funeral home.

Lorraine J. Bublitz (nee) Finley
AUSTIN, MINN. 

     Lorraine J. Bublitz, 67, died Saturday (July 1, 1995) at her 
home.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Olaf 
Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Mikkelson officiating.  Burial 
will be in Oakwood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Worlein 
Funeral Home, Austin, from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and one hour prior 
to services at the church.

Lorraine Joyce Bublitz was born March 20, 1928 in LeRoy (Mower
County),  Minn., to John T. Finley and Dorris Engstrom Finley.  
At age 12 the family moved to Rose Creek, Minn.  She graduated from 
Rose Creek High School.

She married Robert E. Janson in Grinnell.  They had three children 
together, David Janson, Linda Janson and James Janson.

She married Darrel A. Bublitz of Grafton on Sept. 6, 1970 at the 
First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, S.D.  They had one daughter, 
Rhonda.   Lorraine was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and 
also taught Sunday school.

She recently retired due to illness from the U.S. Postal Service 
in Austin, where she had been employed for 26 years.

She is survived by her husband Darrel; two sons, David Janson  and
his wife, Sue of Rochester, Minn., James Janson and his  fiance,
Cathy Tidemann of Austin, Minn.; two daughters, 
Linda Janson Watson and her husband, Robert of Austin, Minn., 
Rhonda Bublitz Williams and her husband, Richard of Richfield, 
Minn.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her 
parents, John T. and Dorris Finley of Austin, Minn.; five sisters 
and brothers-in-law, Marian and Howard Rankin of Des Moines, 
Beverly Klusmeier of Otranto, Winifred and Kenneth Greenlee of 
Fridley, Minn., Janet Finley of Minneapolis, Minn., and 
Judith Jones of Braham, Minn.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Lawrence Finley of West Hills, Calif., Virgil and Marion Finley  of
Plainview, Minn., and David and Pat Finley of Lake City, Minn.; 
several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and a brother, 
Gordon Finley.

     Margaret E. Loux, 88, of Clarion, died Friday (June 30, 1995) 
at Clarion Community Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be 
held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Willim Funeral Home, with 
Mark Young of Clarion Church of Christ  officiating. Burial will 
be in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. 
Sunday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends  from
4 to 6 p.m.

Margaret E. Loux was born Sept. 10, 1906 in Blairsburg.

Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Rigley of Boone; 
two sons, Eldon of Rowan and Johnny of Mesa, Ariz.; 
10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three 
great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mae Howell of 
Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother  and
one sister.

Wayne August Schlawin
GARNER 

     Wayne Schlawin, 80, died Saturday (July 1, 1995) at Muse
Norris  Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.   Funeral services will
be held  at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with
the  Rev. John W. Hemann officiating.  Burial will be in St.
Boniface  Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8
p.m. today  at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Wayne August Schlawin was born Aug. 17, 1914 on a farm near Klemme. 

Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Schlawin and Glenn
Schlawin,  both of Garner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother.

Louis P. Hobson
HAMPTON 

      Louis P. Hobson, 89, died Friday (June 30, 1995) at  Franklin
General Hospital.  Graveside services will be held at  10:30 a.m.
Monday at the Hampton Cemetery with the Rev. Larry McCann 
officiating.  There will be no visitation.

Louis P. Hobson was born Jan. 11, 1906 in Des Moines.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Mona Wallace of Hampton.

Tad Ryan
IOWA FALLS 

      Tad Ryan, 28, died Thursday (June 29, 1995) at Ellsworth 
Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, from injuries received in a jet 
ski accident on the Iowa River near Alden.   Funeral services will 
be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Alden United Methodist Church 
with Dr. Dennis Y. Ginoza, his uncle from California, officiating. 
 Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.   Visitation will be 
held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Surls Funeral Home, Alden. 

Tad was born May 30, 1967 to Jim Ryan and Bonnye Ryan, former Alden 
residents, now residing in Clear Lake.  Tad began working for 
Alden Feed Service in 1987 and currently held the position of 
General Manager for both Alden Feed Service and Advanced
Management. 

Tad married Stacy Potwin on Sept. 21, 1991 at the Cedar Falls 
Methodist Church.  Tad will be greatly missed by family and
friends.   He enjoyed every kind of water sport and snowmobiling.

Tad is survived by his wife, Stacy, of Iowa Falls; his parents, 
Jim and Bonnye Ryan of Clear Lake; brother Tyler W. Ryan of  New
York; sister, Amanda Ryan of Clear Lake; grandparents,  Bob and
Helen Hoffman of Alden; grandmother, Melba Ryan of Dows;  many
aunts, uncles and cousins.

Hazel Y. Haupt
CLARION 

      Hazel Y. Haupt, 90, died Thursday (June 29, 1995) at Mary
Greeley  Medical Center, Ames.   Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m.  Monday at the United Presbyterian Church with the Rev.
Stuart Brantley  officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.  There will be no  visitation.  Willim Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements. 
Hazel Y. Haupt was born March 21, 1905 in Clarion.

Survivors include two sons, Stuart L. Ballau of Florissant, Mo., 
and Philip E. Ballau of Marco Island, Fla.; three grandchildren; 
and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.

Alice I. Kropp
GOODELL 

      Alice I. Kropp, 88, died Friday (June 30, 1995) at the
Americana  Nursing Home, Mason City.  Funeral services will be held
at 1:30 p.m.  Monday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev.
Jerry Robertson  officiating.  Burial will be in Amsterdam Township
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the
Ewing Funeral  Home, Belmond.

Alice I. Kropp was born Aug. 4, 1906 in Goodell.

Survivors include many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother  and
one sister.

D.T. `Tom' Stewart
CLARION 

      D.T. `Tom' Stewart, 56, died Saturday (July 1, 1995) at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clarion 
Church of Christ with the Rev. Mark Young officiating.  Burial will 
be in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. 
Tuesday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

D.T. `Tom' Stewart was born Dec. 10, 1938 in Clarion.

Survivors include his parents, Clarence and Phyllis Stewart  of
Clarion; his wife, Debra Stewart of Clarion; one daughter,  Tami
Stewart of Los Alamitos, Calif.; one son, Lance Stewart  of Los
Angeles, Calif.; three stepchildren, Joshua, Jessica  and Kristin,
all at home; and one sister, Jeanne Feckey of  Mendota Heights,
Minn.
