Lena Cornelia Butson, 86, of Hampton, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at the Hampton Health Care Center.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 18, at the Zion Reformed Church in rural Sheffield, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Arthur Zewert officiated. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.

Ove Christian Heilskov, 84, of Hampton, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 20, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Dave Bernhardt officiated. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Sarah Held, 102, of Geneva, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 29, at the Geneva United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva. Memorials may be directed to the Franklin County Historical Society or the Geneva Methodist Church.

Bernard Pfeifer, 94, of Iowa Falls, died on Friday, December 26, 2008, at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 30, at the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the church basement prior to the service. Burial was in the St. Mark's Cemetery.
