Marion W. Carberry, 90, of Aredale, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 7, at 11:00 a.m., at the Aredale United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene. The Fullerton Funeral Home of Mason City, was in charge of the arrangements.

Ernest Andrew Madill, 95, of Friendship Village, died on Friday, February 6, 2004, at the village.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 9, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo. Burial was in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.

Michael James "Mike" Purcell

February 10, 2004

Michael James "Mike" Purcell, 43, died on December 12, 2003, the result of an auto accident on North McVay Road.

He was born on February 14, 1960, in Iowa City and lived in McVay, Arizona for the past 23 years. He was the farm manager of the 1,200 acre
Jojoba Tree Ranch of Purcell Jojoba International. Mike is survived by his mother, Marjorie Edgren of Monterey, California and his father, Hal Purcell of Avila Beach, California.

Visitation is planned for Friday, February 13, from 5-7:00 p.m., at the Ewing Dugger Willim Funeral Home, Latimer and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Latimer. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Latimer.
