Connie J. Buckman

FOREST CITY - Connie J. Buckman, 58, of Forest City, surrounded by her family, died Thursday (July 15, 2010) following a long battle with cancer, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating.
Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery in rural Forest City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, July 16, at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark St., Forest City, and an hour prior to service at the church.
Connie Jean Buckman was born in Mason City, on Aug. 1, 1951, the daughter of Lloyd and Virginia (Briggs) Dralla. She graduated from Northwood-Kensett School.
Connie was united in marriage to Danny Buckman on Dec. 13, 1975, in Northwood. To this union two children were born. Connie worked at Winnebago Industries for 35 years and retired due to health reasons on Nov. 13, 2009.
Connie enjoyed bowling, quilting with her sister, Corie, traveling, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Buckman; her sons, Lloyd (Jill) Buckman and Jason Buckman. Also surviving are her sisters: Janice (Robert) Hall, Corie (Richard) Rieman, Christina (Howard) Shepard and Ginger (Travis) Holtz; her brothers, Lloyd (Vicki) Dralla, Carl Dralla and Curtiss (Terri) Dralla; brothers-in-law, Terry (Raynette) Buckman, and Larry (Janie) Buckman; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws; nephew, Jacob Dralla; brother-in-law, Perry Montgomery and sister, Marian Montgomery.
