He
graduated

School.
Following
high
school,
he
farmed
with his
father
and
enlisted
in the
United
States
Air
Force in
1950.
Shortly
after
his
discharge
from the
service
in 1954,
he moved
back to
Mason
City and
started
Slattum
Dry
Wall. He
drove
truck
for
Henkel
Construction
for more
than 25
years
and then
Charlson
Excavating
in Clear
Lake for
a few
years
before
he
retired.
After he
retired,
he drove
truck
part
time for
a seed
company
in
Burchinal
and also
worked
part
time for
Hy-Vee
West
cooking
burgers
on their
outside
grill.
He
enjoyed
fishing,
gardening,
cooking
and
canning
in his
kitchen
in the
garage,
working
in his
yard and
experimenting
with
growing
fruit
trees in
his back
yard.
The most
important
part of
his life
was
spending
time
with his
family.
He was a
kind and
gentle
person
with a
big
heart.
He will
be sadly
missed
by his
family,
all
those
who came
in
contact
with
him, and
his
little
Bichon
dog,
Tilly.

She
attended
parochial
grade

before
going on

Wesley

School
where
she
graduated

valedictorian
of her
class.
After
her
schooling,
she went
to work
for the
telephone
company
in
Algona.
On Dec.
29,
1953,
Ruth was
united
in
marriage
to
Kenneth
Grein in
Wesley.
After
their
marriage,
the
couple
lived in
Algona,
Bode,
Livermore,
LuVerne
and San
Diego
for a
short
time
while
Kenneth
was in
the
service.
They
moved to
the farm
at St.
Benedict
in 1966,
where
they
have
remained
ever
since.
In the
past
Ruth has
worked
part-time
at
various
places
until
she
owned
and
operated
the
Algona
Liquor
Store.
The
biggest
joy in
Ruth’s
life was
spending
time
with her
children
and
grandchildren.
She also
enjoyed
helping
on the
farm,
reading,
working
crossword
puzzles
and
watching
“Jeopardy.”
Ruth was
a member
of the
St.
Benedict
Catholic
Church,
the
Catholic
Daughters
of the
Americas
and
enjoyed
helping
with
different
church
functions.
Ruth
died
Thursday
(Jan.
18,
2007) at
the
Hancock
County
Memorial
Hospital
in
Britt.
She was
71.
She is
survived
by her

Rick Gremmer
WESLEY — Rick Gremmer, 50, of Wesley passed away Friday (Jan. 19, 2007) as a result of an accident that occurred on Highway 17 near Renwick, Iowa.
Funeral services for Rick Gremmer will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Wesley, Iowa, with Pastor Allen Poore-Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Wesley.
Visitation for Rick Gremmer will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Chapel, 178 Center St. W., in Britt, and continue one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Ricky Allen Gremmer, the son of George and Pearl Smith Gremmer, was born on May 17, 1956, in Britt, Iowa. He was raised in the Britt area, graduating from Britt High School in 1974. After high school, Rick enjoyed his work with Morton Buildings. From 1977 to 1983, Rick was married to Debra Lichman and this marriage was blessed with two daughters.
In 1990, Rick met Veleta Mausehund, they moved to Wesley and have been together ever since. Rick worked for K & H in Wesley for nine years, most recently driving truck for Ludwig Service. He enjoyed camping with family and friends, golfing with friends, especially with his “Garner buddies” and restoring many classic cars, just finishing his ’57 Chevy. Rick was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved socializing with people and hosting football parties in his garage. Rick was an animal lover, leaving behind a bird, cat and two dogs.
Rick was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wesley and was a retired volunteer fireman.
Rick is survived by his significant other, Veleta Mausehund, of Wesley; two daughters: Tracy Ludwig, and her husband, Lance, of Wesley and Stacy Gremmer, and her boyfriend, Jack “Ben” Smith, of Wesley; two step-daughters: Theresa Grady, and her husband, Steve Earles, of Wesley and Paula Pals, and her husband, Chad, of Britt; one step-son: Terry Mausehund, and his special friend, Shelley Sawyer, of Neola; four grandchildren: Brody Ludwig, Taylor Earles, Amanda Grady and Kaylyn Earles; one great-grandson: Justin Bauer; two sisters: Carol Brunsen, and her special friend, Donald Preuschl, of Wesley and Linda Gremmer, of Britt; one brother, Dennis Gremmer, and his wife, Judy, of Wesley; along with other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pearl Gremmer; and by two grandsons: Eric Grady and Ryan Mausehund.

Elsie Bartelt was born on July 10, 1922, in St. Ansgar, the daughter of Paul and Beatrice (Cardenas) Bartelt. She graduated from Mason City High School in the class of 1940.
After graduation, she was a waitress for a short while, later learning retouching in one of the city’s photographic studios.
Elsie was united in marriage to Marlen Kleven on April 11, 1942; to this union five children were born.
Elsie loved art, gardening and fishing. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Covenant Church, Mason City, where she was very involved in numerous activities.
Elsie is survived by her children, Eugene “Butch” (Pat) Kleven, Dwight (Barb) Kleven, Ken (Joyce) Kleven, Marcia (Mark) Blong, and Mark (Pamela) Kleven; grandchildren, James, Jon, and Mike Kleven, Lisa Musgrove, Brianna Martin, Trina Stone, Marti Barclay, Matt Kleven, Brenda Adams, Angela Greimann, Crystal Reibsamen, and Rachel Kleven; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Bryce Kleven, Chase Reibsamen, and Chandler Adams; one brother, Ervin Bartelt; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. —Lupe Flores, 62, of Shakopee, Minn., passed away Saturday (Jan. 20, 2007) at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Nokomis Park Chapel in Minneapolis, Minn. Burial will be at Fort Snelling Memorial Veterans Cemetary in Minneapolis, where he will be layed to rest with full military honors.
Lupe was born on June 20, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas, son of Santiago and Rosemary Flores. He grew up in Mason City, Iowa. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and served three tours of duty in Vietnam from 1961 to 1965. He returned to Mason City and had a family.
Throught the years, his career consisted of metal fabrication. He was last employed and retired from Lewis Engineering in Chaska, Minn., in 2004.
His hobbies included long- distance target shooting, going to gun shows and flea markets, spending time with his family, watching old Western movies, reading and he had a great love for driving.
Lupe always enjoyed the company of his family and friends; he was a devoted man to everyone he knew.
Lupe is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Ramiro Sierra) Flores, of Shakopee, Minn.; two sons, Roy (Diane) Flores, of Mason City, and Guadalupe Deleon Flores II, of Belle Plaine, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Reyna, of Shakopee, Minn., Breanna and Thorin Flores, of Mason City, Jaymon, Allana, Sierra, and Collin, of Buffalo, Minn.; two brothers, Santiago (Mary) Flores, of San Antonio, Texas, and Max (Sharon) Flores, of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight nieces and nephews and many other relatives and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his 7-month-old grandaughter, Kylee Rose Flores; his parents, Santiago and Rose Mary Flores; and a niece, Rachel Flores.

William ‘Bill’ Bertz
NEW ULM, Minn. — William “Bill” Bertz, 76, of 45 Roslyn Road, New Ulm, Minn., died Sunday (Jan. 21, 2007) at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Minn., with the Rev. Wayne Laitinen officiating. Military honors, conducted by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor, will follow the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm and from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Schmucker Funeral Services. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
William Edward Bertz, the son of Arthur and Gertrude (Gransee) Bertz, was born on Oct. 24, 1930, in Fond du Lac, Wis. After graduating from high school in Fond du Lac in 1948, Bill worked for the Hamm’s Beer distributor before entering the United States Navy in 1951. During his active duty, he served in the Korean Conflict.
He married Marilyn Herbert in Fond du Lac. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1954, they made their home in Fond du Lac where he worked for Galloway West, and Valley Dairy Products. The family moved to Clear Lake, in 1970 when he began a career with AMPI. After moving to Birmingham, Mich,. in 1976, he and a partner developed an independent dairy brokerage. He moved to New Ulm in 1977 where he worked for AMPI. Bill married Sondra (Messerschmidt) Kassuelke on Oct. 1, 1988, in New Ulm. The couple made their home in New Ulm until 1990 when he retired from AMPI and moved to Springfield, Mo., where he worked for Mid America Farms (Dairy Farmers of America) until retiring in 1997. The couple returned to New Ulm in 2005.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, and a former member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Springfield, Mo., where he served as congregation president. He was a past member of Toastmasters, and was a volunteer with Opportunity Village (Clear Lake, Iowa).
A great golfer, Bill was a past president and member of the New Ulm Country Club. Very interested in antiques, Bill had owned the Heritage Haus Antiques in New Ulm in the 1980s and a similar business in Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Sondra, of New Ulm, Minn.; children, Jeffrey Bertz and his wife, Patty Lewis, of Bellevue, Idaho, Kathy Fothergill and her husband, Scott, of Bondurant, Carol Meyer and her husband, Steve, of Clear Lake, Lisa Hansen and her husband, Jerry, of Navarre, Fla., Warren Kassuelke and his wife, Megan, of Lake Crystal; sister, Bette Westphal, of Brookfield, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Dave) Anderson, Sara (Bryce) Pronk, Katie (Chad) Thomson, Christine and Jacob Fothergill, Anne Meyer, Kayleigh, Andrew and Libby Kassuelke; three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Shawn Thomson, and Bennett Pronk; nieces, nephews and cousins. Extended family includes Vicky and Les Ernster. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Avis N. Ott
GREENE — Funeral services for Avis N. Ott, 90, of 12392 Camp Comfort Road, Greene, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, (Jan. 24, 2006) at the United Methodist Church in Greene with Pastor Ashok Patet officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene.

Avis Nettie Maxwell was born on Nov. 13, 1916, in rural Coldwater Township, Butler County, a daughter of Arthur Eugene and Emma (Mettler)Maxwell, and died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at the Allison Health Care Center in Allison.
She received her education in the rural Coldwater Country School and Greene Public Schools, graduating in 1934. As a young lady, she taught in the rural schools near Greene and on Nov. 22, 1937, she was united in marriage to Harry Burdette Ott at Mount Vernon. To this union were born three children: Dennis Harry, Sheryl Jean and Mark Maxwell.
Harry and Avis farmed west of Greene until 1946, when they moved on their present farm south of Greene. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling. Her travels included trips to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Guam. Avis and Harry spent their winters in Hemet, Calif.. for 30 years. Avis’ family was very important to her especially the time spent with her grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, P.E.O. Chapter CC Sisterhood, Round Grove Country Club, and various Bridge clubs.
Living family members include her daughter: Sheryl (Dr. Thomas) Nixt of Honolulu; two sons: Dennis (Mary Lou) Ott, of Greene and Dr. Mark (Pamela) Ott of Cherry Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren: Theresa Ann (Tom) Fennel, Sonya Marie (Todd) Blanchford, Matthew Thomas (Jenny) Nixt, Angela Jean (Doug) Lee, Zachari Kyler (Edna) Ott, Justin Maxwell (Oralia) Ott; seven great-grandchildren: Anjelica Jean Nixt, Alexandra Rose Nixt; Adrian Kyle Nixt, Taylor and Riley Blanchford, Zoe and Sydney Ott; and one sister, Fern Daiker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Luella Strand, Mae Garms, and Esther Fidler; and four brothers: Bert Maxwell, Claude Maxwell, DeLoss Maxwell, and Clem Maxwell.

Gene J. Mayer
STACYVILLE — Gene J. Mayer, age 83, of Stacyville, died Sunday (Jan. 21, 2007) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospice Unit.
Gene was born on Jan. 1, 1924, in Stacyville, the first born son of Ernest and Matilda (Loecher) Mayer. Gene attended Visitation Catholic School in Stacyville. He served in the Army during World War II. His tour of duty was in Japan. He married Marjorie Thome on Nov. 27, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, Iowa.
Gene was a farmer all his life on various farms in the Meyer-Stacyville area. He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the American Legion Post 569 in Stacyville.
His interests included playing cards with the group from the Legion and with his family. His greatest interest was spending time with his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery with military rites by the Stacyville American Legion Post 569.

Robert G. Grefe was born on Oct. 31, 1931, in Campbell Hill, Ill., son of William F. and Naomi D (Wachsnicht) Grefe. He graduated from Manly High School and from Hamilton College in Mason City with an A.A. degree in accounting. He served in the Air Force from 1951-1954 Korean War.
On July 1, 1956, Robert was married to Cora M. Scholtterback in Manly. After Cora’s death, he married Margaret Waskow on June 3, 2000, in Hampton.
Robert was an accountant. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton, where he was a past elder and taught Sunday school. He was also a past member of Kiwanis and the Hampton Board of Adjustment.
Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret, Hampton; daughter, Karleen R. (Richard) Gillen, Ames; two sons, Randy G. (Cindy) Grefe, Hampton, and James R. (Melody) Grefe, San Jose, Calif; two step-daughters, Jerri Jean Morton, Fairborn, Ohio, and Jennifer (Rex) Kropp, Klemme; one step-son, John (Terri) Christiansen, Coulter; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Edwin Fischer
BELLEVUE — Edwin Fischer, 85, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday (Jan. 21, 2007) at the Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue.
Edwin was born on Sept. 1, 1921, in Artas, S.D., son of the late Andrew and Katherine (Boehler) Fischer. He married Florence May Pfiefer on Feb, 14, 1943, in Zeeland, N.D. She survives.
Edwin was an agent/operator for the Milwaukee Railroad which later became the Soo Line Railroad. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during World War II being based in Okinawa, Japan.
He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Bellevue American Legion Post 273. He also was a member of the Barbershoppers of Sheldon, Iowa. He enjoyed Dancing and music, bowling and golf, as well as bingo.
Besides his wife, Florence Fischer, Bellevue, he is survived by one daughter, Vivian (John) Pitlo, Bellevue, and one sister, Irene Heiser, of Washington.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sons and three brothers, Reuben, Elmer and Art Fischer.

Deana L. Hughes
On Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, Deana LaRae Hughes passed away following her short and courageous battle with gastro-esophageal cancer.
Born on April 6, 1967, at Palomar Hospital to her parents, Curtis and LaRae Hamilton, Deana spent her childhood in Escondido and graduated from San Pasqual High School.
She studied in Paris and traveled Europe extensively, finally finishing her formal education at California State University Chico, where she founded the local chapter of Kappa Sigma Delta Sorority.
Following university, she moved to San Francisco, where she worked in retailing and fashion for Bally’s, Escada and Saks Fifth Ave. At Saks, she managed the bridal salon, which under her guidance grew to the second-highest selling bridal department of haute couture gowns for Saks nationwide. She arranged weddings for many notable San Francisco-area families.
During her time in San Francisco, Deana met and married the love of her life, Stephen Hughes, of Colwyn Bay, Wales, on March 21, 1998. Two years later, she and Steve relocated back to Escondido.
Deana also chose to change her career. She joined TRI-AD, the family firm her father founded, in 1974, and has led since then. Her grace, talent, and intelligence allowed her to grow her career quickly.
In a five-year time span she rose to become one of TRI-AD’s most senior client service managers, managing the firm’s relationships with some of its largest and most prestigious clients.
She touched the lives of many of her clients and co-workers and set an incredible example in both her personal and professional life.
Deana was active in Toastmasters, local and national charitable activities and various other social events.
Deana contracted a rare and pernicious form of stomach cancer in August 2006. Throughout her aggressive treatment, Deana’s selfless personality shone through as she maintained her sense of humor while continually focusing on the devastating impact of her disease on her loved ones’ lives. Her husband, Steve, stayed constantly by her side providing tireless and loving care to her through her entire illness.
Services are being arranged by Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido.
Deana is survived by her husband, Steve; her parents, Curtis and LaRae Hamilton; her brother, Thad Hamilton; his wife, Kristen; and son, Wyatt, also of Escondido; and her lovely cat, Eric.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Vista Valley Country Club in Vista, Calif.

Jeannie Campbell
BELMOND — Jeannie Campbell, 54, of Belmond, died Friday (Jan. 19, 2007) at her home in Belmond.

Jeannie Hopkey was born on Oct. 17, 1952, the daughter Ardell and Florence (Robertson) Hopkey. She attended Belmond Schools and graduated from Belmond High School with the class of 1971.
Jeannie was united in marriage to Duncan D. Campbell on Aug. 14, 1971, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Following their marriage, the couple farmed and raised their three sons, John D., Jason D., and Jeremy D. Campbell on their farm south of Belmond for 32 years.
Jeannie was a lifelong member of the Belmond United Methodist Church where she had been baptized and confirmed as a child. She had been a member of the Beta Sigma Upsilon Sorority since 1982. She enjoyed being a community volunteer for Wright County Hospice and driving the Belmond Community Care Car for Seniors for a number of years.
Jeannie was very much a people person and received the greatest joy of life being able to spend time with her boys. She loved working with and raising flowers and looked forward to sharing time with her family. Jeannie was an avid fan of the “Wizard of Oz,” collecting many pieces of memorabilia of the show.
Jeannie had a fondness for animals, especially her Jack Russell Terrier, “Daisy,” which she got after her dear Jack Russell terrier “Rose” died. She also enjoyed traveling excursions and in earlier years camping with her family.
Jeannie had moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., in September 2004, where she was a full time nanny and enjoyed the companionship of her friend, Richard. She moved back to Belmond in October 2006.
She is survived by her three sons and grandson, John Duane Campbell and his wife, Trudy, of Belmond, Jason Duncan Campbell and his wife, Ann, of Belmond, and their son, Jackson, and Jeremy Dennis Campbell and his fiancee, Jill Chapman, of Helena Ala.; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Andrea Lynn Oppedal was born in Story City on July 10, 1970, to Stan and Barbara (Brown) Oppedal. She grew up in Jewell, graduating from South Hamilton in 1988. Andrea was confirmed and a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. She graduated with honors from Ellsworth Community College in 1990. She earned her degree in psychology and social work from Iowa State University in 1994.
Andrea worked for Beloit Lutheran Children and Family Services, Youth and Shelter Service, and Gerard Counseling Service in Ames. She also worked at Barilla in Ames. At the time of her death, she lived in Mason City where she was assistant manager for North Iowa Humane Society.
Andrea had a great passion and love for animals; she rescued and fostered many cats and dogs. She had a tender heart and brilliant smile and had a special way of reaching out and helping others.
Andrea is survived by her parents, Stan and Barb Oppedal, of Ames; a brother, Brad Oppedal, of Bellingham, Wash.; aunts, uncles, and cousins; three pets, Kiva, Miracle and Karma; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Vivian Brown and Torkel and Hannah Oppedal.
We know she has found peace and freedom from the pain and challenges of her mental illness that she endured for so many years.
Memorials will be given to the North Iowa Transition Center and the North Iowa Humane Society.

She attended Mason City schools. Before her marriage she worked at the former Cecil Theatre in Mason City. Later, Ila worked at Marshall & Swift, Newman Catholic Day Care and decorated cakes for Dairy Queen.
Ila’s life was centered on her family. She especially enjoyed celebrating the holiday’s surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ila often remarked, “My grandchildren keep me young.” She attended all events that her family participated in. Trips to California, Las Vegas, Adventureland and Tama held special memories for Ila and her family.
She is survived by her five children, Doris (Mike) Colombo Sr., Gary (Joann) Willemsen, Carol (Donald) Mills, Sharon Willemsen and Jerry Kollman, and Laura Ressler and friend, Dan Dresser; all of Mason City; six grandchildren, Mike (Angela) Colombo, Jr., of Thornton; Lisa Colombo, of Mason City, Karen (Paul) Crimmings, of Manly, Kevin (Jodi) Willemsen, of Rockford, Matthew Ressler and friend Megan Schultz, of Mason City; and Joshua Ressler, of Mason City; nine great-grandchildren, Mark Colombo, Leah Willemsen, Gina Colombo, Cassandra Upshaw, Macey Colombo, Jade Crimmings, Jana Crimmings, Jacob Colombo and Cameron Willemsen; a sister, Mrs. Descum Bishop, of Rockwell; a brother, Richard Lee Stiles, of California; and extended family, Chuck (Linda) Hackleman, of Mason City.
Her parents; husband, Wayne; and a daughter, Karen, in infancy, preceded her in death.

FOREST CITY — Helen M. Baker, 94, formerly of Hayfield, Iowa, died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2007) at the Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong.

Alzina M. Miller
MASON CITY — Alzina M. Miller, 96, of Mason City, died Monday (Jan. 22, 2007) at Heritage Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 27, 2007) at the First United Methodist Church WAYside Chapel, 119 S. Georgia Ave., with the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the WAYside Chapel.
Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa or First United Methodist Church.
Alzina was born Jan. 31, 1910, in Lampman Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Theodore and Mathilda (Benz) Johnson. She moved to the United States with her family at the age of 2. She attended schools in rural Algona.
She was married to Henry Miller on Feb. 14, 1929, in Rockford, Iowa. Alzina and her husband farmed many different places in the area through the years and eventually moved to Mason City. She owned and operated the Maid Rite in Clear Lake for five years in the 1960s.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and 500 and was an active member of the Senior Citizens. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren and she always enjoyed when her family grew. She enjoyed flowers and also gardening. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose.
Alzina is survived by her children, Don Miller and wife, Betty Jo, of Mason City, Jerald Miller and wife, Rita, of Hayfield, Minn., Allen Miller and wife, Darlene, of Hayfield, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 17 step great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lavonne Toner, of Dubuque; sister, Florence Gregory, of Dakota City; brother, Theodore Johnson and wife, Betty, of Lu Verne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis Miller; two brothers; four sisters; grandson, Terry Miller; and Henry Miller.
