served as secretary of that
board for the Iowa district. He

Pastor Driskell deeply loved the

For a personal note of interest,
Tim was a painter on the side.
He loved the feel of a paint
brush in his hands and never
lost the sense of pride felt in
a job well done, a lesson taught
to him at the age of 12, by his
father. He painted every
parsonage he was privileged to
live in.

Visitation will be from
9:30 until 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Fullerton
Family of Funeral Homes,
123 2nd St. S.E. Mason
City.
Leslie was born on
February 25, 1935, in
Iowa City, one of six
children to Amos Edward
and Florence Gertrude
(Curtis) Osler.
At a very early age,
Leslie’s brother Virgil,
saved his life from an
accident that
subsequently caused
brain damage to Les. At
age 11, he attended the
Woodward State Hospital
School. Over the rest of
his life Les spent time
living with his mother
and stepfather, as well
as various county homes
and other institutions
in Cherokee,
Independence, Cerro
Gordo County, Clear Lake
and other locations.
For the past fourteen
years, he has resided at
Park Place in Glenwood,
Iowa, which is a home
for the mentally
disabled. While there,
he enjoyed working in
the sheltered workshop,
going for walks,
“shooting some hoops”
and trying to read and
write even though his
mental abilities were at
kindergarten level. He
also enjoyed watching
television.
Leslie will be thought
of kindly by his family
and care-takers.
Leslie is survived by
two sisters, Shirley
Sage, Mason City and
Evelyn Musick, Chariton,
Iowa; a sister-in-law,
Sandra Osler, Decorah; a
niece and nephew,
Florence Winter and
Clayton Sage, both of
Mason City.
He was preceded in death
by three brothers,
Virgil, Norman and Eddie
Osler.
