LaVonne A. Lines


MARBLE ROCK — Funeral services for LaVonne A. Lines, 79, 2530 Hickory Avenue, Marble Rock, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Marble Rock, with Pastor Kenneth Kent officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Marble Rock, and will continue at the church, Tuesday, one hour before services.

LaVonne Arline Daughenbaugh was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Charles City, Floyd County, a daughter of Seigel Calvin and Hazel Dora (Davis) Daughenbaugh. She died Friday (Dec. 3, 2004) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

From an early age on, LaVonne was raised by her grandparents, Calvin and Bertha (Strawn) Daughenbauch in Charles City. During her junior year in high school she moved to live with her father at Elk River, Minn. She graduated from Polaris North High School in 1944.

On April 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to Merland Cletus Lines at the United Methodist Church, Marble Rock, and to this union five children were born.

They farmed in rural Marble Rock. Following Merland's death on Feb. 8, 2001, she continued to live on the farm until her recent illness.

LaVonne was a devoted wife and mother, tending to the needs of her husband and children; she exemplified the true meaning of love. She loved and cherished her family and the special friends that she came to know throughout her life's travels. LaVonne enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, more than anything else. She loved children of all ages, but was especially fond of babies. She also enjoyed the cats at the farm.

Her interests included keeping up on what was going on by reading newspapers, and keeping in touch with family and friends. LaVonne was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a charter member of the Hi Neighbor Club and was instrumental in naming the club.

LaVonne will be sadly missed by her children, two daughters, Joyce (Rick) Hana-Osterman of Lake Mills, and Debra Lines of Leland, one son, Bruce Lines, of Minneapolis; and two grandchildren, Craig David Hanna and Kayla Marie Hanna.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Craig in 1970, Juhl in 1994; her husband; and parents.

FREDERICKSBURG — Mikel E. Sassmann, 38, of Fredericksburg, died Friday (Dec. 3, 2004) at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg with Pastor Ronnie Koch officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

HAMPTON — Marie Kothenbeutel, 86, of Hampton, died Saturday (Dec. 4, 2004) at the Allison Care Center in Allison.

Maurice E. Lane

MANLY — Maurice E. Lane, 88, of Manly, beloved husband of Betty J., passed away Sunday (Dec 5, 2004) at the Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, after fighting a long and courageous battle against cancer.

He was surrounded by his wife Betty and loving family as he made his journey to his heavenly home.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel United Methodist Church on Highway 9 East in Manly, with Pastor Robert Cummings officiating. Maurice will be laid to rest next to his son, Bill, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St. in Manly.

The family request that memorials be made to Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City or the Manly Public Library.

M.E. was born in Alden, on Feb. 29, 1916, the son of Frank and Pauline Lane. He was a 1934 graduate of the Plymouth High School, and graduated from Hamilton Business College in 1938. In 1962, he graduated from the Reish American School of Auctioneering.

He was married to Betty J. Tibbits on July 6, 1940, in Mason City.

He entered the U.S. Army on May 2, 1944, where he was with the 749th Railway Operating Battalion. He received a bronze star, Philippine Liberation medal and a bronze star for Asiatic Pacific participation.

He was a charter member of the Manly Lions Club, lifetime member of the American Legion Post No. 110 and the Veteran of Foreign Wars.

He was also a member of Rainbow Lodge No. 625 AF&AM and was a former mayor of Manly.

He worked for the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company as a fireman and engineer from 1944 until his retirement as an engineer in l976.

He served as Local Chairman of Division No. 831 of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers from 1966 until his retirement in l976.

His long and treasured gift of life was full. He loved gardening, flowers, vegetables, and sharing his bounty.

He was a faithful member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Manly and was a great friend and mentor, colleague and neighbor.

He loved children and each niece and nephew and grand-child was his favorite. He loved playing with and singing songs to his grandchildren. He loved to dance and he and Betty, his lifelong love, have danced for 64 years.

Above all, he loved his family most. The family gatherings and homecomings were always special to him. He was over joyed to make the acquaintance of the newest member of the Lane family, Kayla Lane Albold, born Oct. 21, 2004.

His unique and special gifts of laughter and love, his brilliant mind and clever wit and his quest for justice and truth will now sustain us.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Betty Lane, of Manly; their children, Sandra Lane Stauner, of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; Sheryl Kelber and her husband, Ron, of White Bear Lake, Minn.; Rene Albold and her husband Tom, of Blaine, Minn.; and Bonnie Hagen and her husband, Mike, of Hanlontown; grandchildren, Bradley; Karie and Mike; Ronnie and Shelly; Stacy and Mark; Sue Ann and Daryl; Aaron and Cheryll; Jason and Katie; Ryan and Sarah; Amy, Lindsey, Christopher, and Taylor, brother of Glen Lane, Oak Harbor, Wash.; Forest Lane, of Vero Beach, Fla.; Dean Lane, of El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters, Alva Viste, of Adams, Minn.; and Thora Faust, of Baltimore, Md.; and many other relatives and friends.

Waiting to welcome him to his heavenly home are his beloved son, Bill; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Lane Kelber; his sister, Florence Lane Hendrickson; and his parents, Frank and Pauline Lane.

Alta Counsell


LITTLE CEDAR — Alta Counsell, 70, of Little Cedar died Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) at her home.

Alta was born on June 17, 1934, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., the daughter of Wright and Dora (Gross) Julius.

Alta was united in marriage to Robert Counsell on July 27, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage.

She graduated from Little Cedar High School. Alta worked at Fox River Mills on Main Street. She ran the Little Cedar Post Office from her home for 25 years.

Alta was brought up in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. She later joined the United Methodist Church in Little Cedar, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and the Disciple Bible Study Group.

Her interests in life were her family, her church family, friends, gardening, and making latch rugs. She was also involved in the Birthday Party Club.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Little Cedar United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jay Amundson officiating. Burial will be in the Little Cedar Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, in Osage and one hour before services on Wednesday at the church.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra Conrad and her husband, Dennis, of Little Cedar; Darla Kelley and her husband Darrell of Belmond; Donna Hanson and her husband Raymond of Little Cedar; five grandchildren, Lonnie Conrad and special friend, Leslie; Christina Noah; Crystal Jacobs; Michael Hanson and Robyn Campbell; and Jason Hanson; two great-grandchildren, MaKayla and Jacob Noah; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Nicholas and Natasha Duryee.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Robert Counsell on Dec. 30, 1999; her sister: Verla; two nieces, Charlene and Lynette; and one nephew, Kim.

RICEVILLE — Doloris Brockney Torney, 75, of Riceville, died Saturday (Dec. 4, 2004) at the Riceville Community Resthome.

CLARION — Ernest W. "Bill" Lester, 80, of Clarion, died Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

Elmer Henry Heinzerling


MASON CITY — Elmer Henry Heinzerling, 75, of Mason City, died Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004), at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E. in Mason City, with the Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, with military honors conducted by members of the Mason City Veterans Memorial Association.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., with a 6 p.m. Scriptural wake service, followed by a rosary service.

Memorials may be directed to Elmer H. Heinzerling Memorial Fund.

Elmer Henry Heinzerling was born May 3, 1929, in Rockford, Iowa, the son of Herman Henry and Minnie Rose (Paulus) Heinzerling.

Elmer attended country school in Rockford, where he helped his dad farm. Elmer enlisted in the United States Army on Dec. 31, 1952; he served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 31, 1953.

He was united in marriage to Barbara (Bennett) Heinzerling June 25, 1955, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City; to this union six children were born.

He drove semi for a lumber company, worked at Armour- Decker, and Marigold Dairy.

In 1961, he moved to Lake Mills and lived there for 25 years. Elmer worked at Thompson Motor Freight and retired from Consolidated Freightways, where he drove semi truck.

Elmer loved dancing, roller-skating, fishing, hunting, camping, working on search word puzzle books, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

On Thanksgiving this year he wanted all the children to move home, and Barbara said, "I don't want to cook all those meals!"

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 828, lifetime member of the V.F.W., 500 card club member for 45 years, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lake Mills, were he was a reader "without a microphone."

Elmer is survived by his wife, Barbara Heinzerling, of Mason City; children, Suzanne (James) Quam, of Plymouth, Vickie Heinzerling, of Ankeny, Linda (Rick) DeFord, of Rockford, Elaine (Daniel) Charlson, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Russell (Pamela) Heinzerling, of Ankeny, John (Shannon) Heinzerling, of Ankeny, grandchildren Nathan and Alicia Quam, Jennifer and Rachel Charlson, Hunter and Rebecca DeFord, Austin and Marissa Heinzerling, Hannah, Erica, and Tyler Heinzerling; sisters, Helen (Joe) Firsching, of Mason City, Anna Adams, of Stacyville, Betty Vaage, of Mason City, and Barbara J. Heinzerling, of Mason City, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

MANLY — Irene Boock, 96, of Manly, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Manly Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Kathryn ‘Katie' S. Lane


CLEAR LAKE — Kathryn "Katie" S. Lane, 90, of Clear Lake, died Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St. in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Thom Christian of First Congregational Church officiating. Inurnment will be in the spring at Elmwood Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Iowa or Clear Lake First Congregational Church.

Katie was born Aug. 9, 1914, the daughter of Cornelius and Ima (Preston) Sauerberg at Topeka, Kan.

Katie graduated from high school at Castleton, N.Y., and from college at Albany, NY.

She received her master's degree from Iowa State University at Ames in plant ecology.

While looking for a teaching degree the government had a program for attending flight school free for civilian pilot training. Katie was accepted because she had a master's degree and passed for commercial and instructors rating in 1940.

Katie taught many of our locals to fly. One of her students was Dr. Ed Chapell and she was his bookkeeper at Chapell Clinic for about 15 years until they closed.

Katie married one of her students, Ranseford E. Lane on May 24, 1949, at the Congregational Church in Mason City.

Katie and Ranse loved to trap shoot. She also enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, trapshooting, beekeeping, butterflies, and ecology.

She was a member of First Congregational Church of Clear Lake. She was installed as a deacon in 1999.

Katie had no children but is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters.

Gladys Apland

IOWA FALLS — Gladys Apland, 97, of Austin, Minn., and formerly of Iowa Falls, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin, Minn.

A Mass of Christian burial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls, with the Rev. Father Jim Dubert officiating. Burial will be at St. Mark's Cemetery in Iowa Falls.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel, with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service and rosary.

FERTILE — Jean VanDenBosch, 79, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at the Hospice of North Iowa Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Her body will be cremated according to her wishes.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held after the holiday season.

CLARION — Marianne Gaulke, 81, of Clarion, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at USA Health Care Center in Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ in Clarion, with Pastor Curt Miner officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. in Clarion.

James W. MacDonald


LARGO, Fla. — James W. MacDonald, a former Mason City resident, passed away on Dec. 1, 2004, in Largo, Fla., at the age of 88.

He graduated from Mason City High School and Mason City Junior College where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete in the 1930s.

He worked at Holsum Bakery as a driver and later coached football for two years at Holy Family High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II flying B-17s, and also flew during the Berlin Airlift. He was later a flight instructor at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He retired as a major in the USAF.

After retiring from the USAF, he was a science teacher in New Hampshire. He worked as an insurance adjuster in Florida and was active as an organizer of activities at Pinecrest Place where he lived out his retirement years.

He is survived by two stepsons, Jon Gale, of North Waterboro, Maine, and Kim Gale, living in California; two nephews, Jack G. MacDonald, of Clear Lake, and James A. MacDonald, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and a niece, Susan (MacDonald) Holthaus, of Tipton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; and his brother, Jack G. MacDonald.

OSAGE — Glenn Ivan Hegland, 64, of Osage, died Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at Faith Lutheran Nursing Home in Osage.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia.

FERTILE — Jean VanDenBosch, 79, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at the Hospice of North Iowa inpatient unit in Mason City.

According to her plans, a remembrance and celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at the Church of Christ, 3493 Eagle Ave., Fertile, Iowa, with Pastor Curt Gallmeyer presiding. A private inurnment will be held at Grant Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests memorials to Fertile Church of Christ or Hospice of North Iowa.

Jean Ouverson was born Jan. 30, 1925, to Harley and Edith (Humphrey) Ouverson of Fertile, Iowa.

After graduation from Fertile High School, Jean pursued her interest in aviation, obtaining her commercial pilot's license. She continued training for a period of time at the Aviation Academy in Kansas City, Mo., before returning to Fertile.

Those living in North Iowa in those days still speak of the times Jean was heard and seen soaring above their communities in her Piper Cub.

She married Wayne "Butch" VanDenBosch on April 19, 1947, at the Church of Christ in Fertile, Iowa. To this union four sons were born. After many years, the marriage ended in divorce.

To further her education in later years, Jean completed requirements for her associate's degree in liberal arts.

She worked as the bookkeeper for the family-owned business of Fertile Valley Hatchery for more than 30 years, as well as assisting in the overseeing of the general operation.

In more recent years, she was the bookkeeper for The Petal Shoppe in Clear Lake, Iowa, until her retirement in the late '90s.

During Jean's declining health in recent years, she has enjoyed the fellowship and assistance of many of the community members of Fertile who have so willingly helped meet her needs. Of special pleasure to her was the morning coffee group at the Downtown Cafe.

During more active years, she enjoyed gardening, music, reading and cooking, however, she will be foremost remembered for her devout Christian faith.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Fertile where she served for many years in various capacities including Sunday school teacher, Superintendent of Christian Education, Christian Women's organization, and choir member.

She is survived by her four sons, Bob (Toby) of Mason City, Mike (Karen) of Iowa City, Tom and Scott (Kelly) both of Strawberry, Ariz.; seven granddaughters; two grandsons; and one brother, Bob (Betty) of Fertile.

Family members in heaven welcoming her home for Christmas are her parents and a grandson.

MANLY — Irene Ruth Boock, 96, of Manly, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 N. Broadway, Manly, with the Rev. David Kucera officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Manly.

There will be no visitation.

Irene Ruth Boock was born on Oct. 30, 1908, the daughter of Irving James and Tena (Arendt) Helmer. She attended and received her education at the Plymouth school.

After completing her schooling, Irene worked as a taxi dispatcher for Hebel Taxi Co. in Mason City.

She was united in marriage to Ferdinand Redeker on Feb. 12, 1929, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1931.

After her husband's death she moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1941, where she was employed as a desk clerk at the Sheridan Hotel.

In the 1970s she moved back to Plymouth and lived with her mother, and in 1988 she moved to Manly.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching TV, playing cards with her friends, playing the piano, music, dancing, reading, cooking, baking, and her home.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly.

Irene is survived by her brother, LeRoy Helmer and his wife, Ginger, of Manly; a daughter-in-law, Ruth A Redeker of Mason City; five grandchildren, James W. Redeker Sr. and his wife, Sandy, Randy Redeker, Deanne Raprager and her husband, Louis, Kathy Jo Loeckle and her husband, Wes, and Peggy Vega and her husband, Roy, all of Mason City; 13 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Tillie Helmer of Oakhurst, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ferdinand; her son, Donald Leroy Redeker, who died on April 3, 1997; two grandchildren, Donald Harold and Elizabeth Irene Redeker; a brother, Irving James Helmer; two sisters, Evelyn Reinhart Pross, and Mae Yezek; and three brothers-in-law, Ralph Reinhart, George Pross and Joe Yezek.

CARROLL — Russel Leonard Cook, age 86, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll, with Father Joe Dillinger as celebrant. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, with a Christian wake service by the parish at 7 p.m.

Gift bearers will be Russel's great-grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Mike Oswald, Tim Oswald, Dwight Cook, Tony Winter, Joseph Hawley, and Jason Peot.

Born April 17, 1918, at Algona, Iowa, he was the son of Frank and Nellie (Huntsinger) Cook.

Russel grew up in Algona where he attended school. He worked in grocery store sales promotions at various locations.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps' signal corps; and after his discharge the couple made their home in Mason City.

He was married to Evon D. Winter on June 17, 1936, at Fairmont, Minn. He moved to Carroll from Forsyth, Mo., in October of 1997.

He is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Forsyth, Mo. He served as an usher at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. His hobby was painting.

He is survived by a daughter, Jan Oswald and her husband, Keith, of Carroll; a sister, Opal Sparks of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Dwight Cook and his wife, Denise, of Algona; a brother, Richard Cook of Okoboji; a grandson, Michael and Kristy Oswald of Des Moines; a grandson, Joseph Oswald of Carroll; a grandson, Timothy Oswald and his wife, Kelli, of Des Moines; a granddaughter, Susan Hawley of Woodbury, Minn.; a granddaughter, Debra Peot and her husband, Jason, of Chicago, Ill.; two great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; a brother-in-law, Robert Winter and his wife, Ruth, of West Des Moines; and a brother, Tony Winter and his wife, Louise, of Taneyville, Mo.

OSAGE — Glenn Ivan Hegland, 64, of Osage, died Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at Faith Lutheran Nursing Home in Osage.

Glenn was born July 11, 1940, at Holmes, Iowa, the son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Carberry) Hegland.

After his mother passed away, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Amos and Thelma Carberry.

Glenn was very active in the Osage VFW Post 7920. He was All State Commander in 1991, and was All State Quartermaster for four years in a row. In 1994-95, he was 3rd District Commander for the Department of Iowa.

Glenn was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed working at the VFW, playing cards, trout fishing, spending time with his nieces and nephew, and in later years with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia, Iowa, with military honors at the grave by Alta VFW Post 6172.

AUGUSTA, Kan. — Ida M. Gallo, 84, of Albuquerque, N.M., went to be with her Lord on Dec. 3, 2004.

She was born Dec. 5, 1919, to Wilbert and Florence Hays in Nora Springs, Iowa.

She was a longtime resident of Mason City, Iowa, before moving to Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gallo.

She is survived by a daughter, Billie Paul, of Augusta, Kan.; son, Mario Gallo, of Albuquerque, N.M.; four step-children, Josephine Jimenez, of Rochester, Minn., Margaret Graham, of Mason City, Iowa, Beatrice Ray and Mercedes Cantu, of Des Moines; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Leo Joseph Hagen was born on Jan. 1, 1922, in Silver Township, Worth County, Iowa, to Edward and Hilda (Troe) Hagen.

Leo married Ardella Ferley at her parent's home on Jan. 1, 1945. Leo farmed and worked at Streators for 20 years.

PEORIA, Ill. — Judy Bohnsack DeWitt, 63, of Peoria, Ill., formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at her home in Peoria, Ill.

The body was cremated.

Judy was born March 22, 1941, in Mason City, the daughter of Walt and Agnes Bohnsack.

She attended schools in Mason City. She worked at Earl's Fruit Market in Mason City.

Judy was united in marriage to Charles DeWitt on July 12, 1962. They lived in Mason City, Iowa City and Peoria, Ill.

Judy is survived by her husband, Charles, of Peoria, Ill.; her three sisters, Marilyn Lankford, Ramona Morse, Donna (Van) Brummund; three brothers, Dennis, Merlyn (Alice), all of Mason City and Gary (Lois) of Archdale, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dale; and sister, Marian.
