** Alice Freda Richtsmeier

HAMPTON — Alice Freda Richtsmeier, 85, of Hampton, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at the Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ, in rural Geneva, with the Rev. Vicki Engelmann officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, in Hampton.

** Richard A. Cahill

ROCKWELL — Richard A. Cahill, age 46, of 411 4th St. S., Rockwell, died Tuesday, February 23, 1999 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 27, 1999 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen Meyer and Rev. Dennis Cahill. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., today at Sacred Heart Parish Center. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Richard A. Cahill Memorial Fund for his children.

Richard was born on March 30, 1952, one of four children to Joseph and Marian (O'Harrow) Cahill. He graduated from the Rockwell-Swaledale High School in 1972 and then continued his education at Hawkeye Technical School in the Auto body and detailing division.

Rich was united in marriage to Lorraine Weaver at the Little Brown Church in Nashua in 1988. To this union were born two children.

He worked as security personnel, driving a bank armored car in Denver Colorado and Mankato, Minnesota. For the last several years he has owned and operated his own independent trucking business from Rockwell.

Rich was a loving and attentive father to his children, a gentle soul and a good friend.

Richard is survived by his former wife Lorraine; his son, Ben and daughter, Jessica Cahill, all of Rockwell; his mother, Marian Cahill of Sunrise Healthcare, Mason City; three brothers, John and his wife, Joyce Cahill, Des Moines; Robert and his wife, Diane Cahill, Arlington Heights, IL; and Dennis Cahill of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; and his grandparents.

** Soui A. Lai

CLEAR LAKE — Soui A. Lai, 80, of 208 S. Eighth St., Clear Lake, died Tuesday (Feb. 23, 1999) at his home in Clear Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Ha Baccam officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake.

** Alma M. Anderson

RENWICK — Alma M. Anderson, 97, of Renwick, died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at the North Care Center, Humboldt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, at the Grace Baptist Church, Corwith, with Pastor Art Woodward officiating. Burial will be in the LuVerne Cemetery, LuVerne.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, in Renwick.

** Bernice E. Attwooll

CLARION — Bernice E. Attwooll, 92, of Clarion, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at the Clarion Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Lutheran Church, in Clarion, with the Rev. Gary Boen officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

** Eugene L. Jones

CHARLES CITY — Eugene L. Jones, 75, of 209 S. Illinois St., died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

** Margaret 'Maggie' Maxwell

CHARLES CITY — Margaret "Maggie" Maxwell, 93, formerly of 38 Cedar Terrace Ave. So., died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home, Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Charles City, with Dr. Todd Yeaton officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

** Margaret E. Kennison

OSAGE — Margaret E. Kennison, 87, of 914 Davidson Dr., Osage, formerly of Mason City, died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Ave., Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.

** Helen A. Kleinsasser

MASON CITY — Helen A. Kleinsasser, 87, of 1000 N. Eisenhower Ave., died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

** Carrie Ann Buseman

ROCKFORD — Carrie Ann Buseman, 86, formerly of Rockford West Manor, Rockford, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hanford Community Church, 12411 Spruce Ave., Mason City. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., Mason City.

** Irene C. Kellogg

MASON CITY — Irene C. Kellogg, 83, of 1417 Meadowbrook Dr., Mason City, died Tuesday (Feb. 23, 1999) at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 Fourth St. S.E., with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church.

Irene was born May 22, 1915, in Mason City, the daughter of Gustov and Louise (Witte) Radunzel. She graduated from Mason City where she participated in municipal band.

Irene married Glenn C. Kellogg on Feb. 9, 1937, at Clear Lake. The Kellogg's farmed southwest of Mason City for many years moving into Mason City in 1975.

Irene was a life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church, ladies aid, Friendship Society and rural Lakettes.

She enjoyed flowers, crocheting and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Irene is survived by her son, Robert L. Kellogg and wife, Linda, of Brighton, Colo.; daughter, Carolyn I. Broers and husband, Roger, of Mason City; grandchildren, Douglas Kellogg and wife, Pamela, of Clear Lake, Iowa; Phillip Kellogg, of Denver, Colo.; Gregory Kellogg, of Breckenridge, Colo.; Bobbie Kellogg, of Commerce City, Colo.; Karla Geddes and husband, Ian, of Sheridan, Wyoming; and Deborah Broers and fiancee, Bob Bosch, of Mason City; and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Logan Kellogg.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
