Pamela B. Hickman

MASON CITY — Pamela Beatrice Hickman, 51, of 115 Sixth St. N.W., died Friday (July 28, 2006) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 1311 Second St. S.W., in Mason City, with the Rev. Joseph Mirowski and the Rev. Basil Hickman, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. Mason City, where a Trisagion prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to the Pamela B. Hickman Memorial Fund.

Pamela Beatrice Hickman was born on March 24, 1955, at St. Jean d’Angely, France, a daughter of Harold Anthony Williams Robedeaux and Ginette Revaux. In 1963, she immigrated to America with her mother and two of her siblings.

She married William Hickman on Nov. 24, 1979 and to this union, two children, Seth and Kate, were born.

Pam attended school in the Mason City-Clear Lake area, graduating from Clear Lake High School in 1974. She later received a legal secretary diploma from Hamilton Business College. Her last place of employment was with Farm Chem, Mason City.

Pam loved to dance, was an avid reader and gardener. One of her favorite things to do was to watch the sunset.

She is survived by the love of her life, Will Hickman; her children, daughter, Kate Hickman, Iowa City; son, Sgt. Seth Hickman USMC., Oceanside, Calif.; mother, Ginette Revaux; Mason City; two sisters, Danielle Willson, Mason City; Michele (Gene) Huntley-Larsen, Nora Springs; Brother, Hans Revaux, Mason City; and several nieces and nephews; and in France, an Aunt and several cousins. Hickman family survivors include, Father Basil Hickman and family; Shannon Hickman and family; Kirsten Shah and family and in-laws, William and Ruth Hickman, Clearwater, Fla.; Godmother, Tina Montealvo; and her Aunt Lollie and extended family recently found in the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Red Rock, Oka., this cherished discovery filled a void in her life and was the result of a life long quest.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Harold; Claremore, Okla.; uncles, Battiste Robedeaux, Pawnee, Okla. and Jacques Revaux of France.

Pam was a gifted painter. We will miss her laughter, her great sense of humor and her sharp wit. She will be in our hearts forever, and is waiting for us in a better place.

Marcus Steven Lovik

FERTILE — Marcus Steven Lovik, 67, 210 E. Main, died Friday (July 28, 2006) at The Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Fertile Lutheran Church, 602 W. Washington in Fertile, with Pastor David Halverson officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Marcus S. Lovik Memorial Fund.

Marcus was born on Jan. 28, 1939, the son of Lloyd and Mavis (Holtan) Lovik, in their farmhouse near Forest City. He attended Fertile Schools and later graduated from Fertile High in 1956. Growing up, he helped his father on the farm and was the local milk delivery boy.

His battle began in 2000, when he found out he had a bad heart. Marcus lived a good, hard life as we all know. He loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed visiting with friends.

He could often be found talking with friends on the deck. Marcus liked to fish, play cards, and share his knowledge about carpentry; he could build most anything. He was really looking forward to riding in Fertile’s Sesquicentennial parade and attending his 50-year class reunion, so he could visit with all his classmates.

Marcus is survived by his father, Lloyd Lovik; the love of his life, Mary Kreis, Fertile; children, Holly Lovik, Clear Lake; he has three fur grandchildren: Mack (Golden Retriever) and Bear and Lynx (Cats), Scott (Laura) Lovik, Clear Lake, and grand-dog, Casey (Yorkie); Steve (Paula) Lovik, grandchildren, Erika and Alexis Lovik, Stephanie and Christie Lovik, one great-granddaughter; brother, Lamar Lovik, Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, Dana (Perry) Comito and Kristen (Steven) Winters, along with other relatives and friends.

Marcus is preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Lovik; three sisters, Linda Lovik, and two in infancy.

Delores Jean Behrens

SEBRING, Fla. — Delores Jean Behrens, 78, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Sunday (July 30, 2005) in Sebring.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1928, to George R. and Lucy Esther (Haupi) Echelberger, in Rowan, Iowa, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1993, coming from Lowell, Ark.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Activities Committee at The Bluffs of Sebring and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Married on Aug. 18, 1946, Delores is survived by her husband, Laverne Myron Behrens, of Sebring, Fla.; sons, Ricky Laverne Behrens, of Lake Stevens, Wash., and James Allan Behrens, of Bella Vista, Ark; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 4001 Sebring Parkway in Sebring, Fla., with Pastor Gary Kindle officating.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.

Herbert Hagenow

CEDAR FALLS — Herbert Hagenow, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday (July 27, 2006) at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Herbert was born on Aug. 1, 1917 in Readlyn, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Malinda (Klemp) Hagenow.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Herbert married Velma Steere on Nov. 19, 1950, in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2005.

He was employed at Viking Pump for 30 years where he was a machinist until retiring in 1980. Herbert was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Rosalee) Hagenow, of Cedar Falls and Brian Hagenow, of Clear Lake, Iowa; one daughter, Robin Hagenow, of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Christopher Hagenow, Susan Hetzel, Kathryn Hagenow, and Caroline Hagenow; and one great-granddaughter, Alexis Hagenow.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; and his sister, Darlene Wyatt.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. today, Aug. 1, 2006, at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Interment will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens with full military rites by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service time at the church.

Mary Josephine ‘Mary Jo’ Jorgensen

MASON CITY — Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” Jorgensen, 82, of 4885 Asbury Road, Dubuque, formerly of Mason City, died on Monday (July 31, 2006) at Heritage Manor in Dubuque, surrounded by family, following an illness.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E. Mason City, with the Most Rev. Jerome Hanus, OSB, presiding, the Rev. Harry H. Koelker, concelebrating and homilist, and Deacon Gerald Jorgensen assisting. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the services on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Newman Catholic School, Mason City, and Resurrection Catholic Church, Dubuque, Iowa.

Mary Josephine Jorgensen was born on Dec. 16, 1923, in Kossuth County, Iowa, daughter of Charles G. and Catherine (Kisch) Kollasch. She graduated from high school at the Presentation Academy, Whittemore. Mary Jo moved to Mason City a few years after high school and had various jobs.

She married Harry G. Jorgensen on Aug. 21, 1945, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whittemore. To this marriage four children were born. Mary Jo loved spending time with her family. She raised her four children and was a stay-at-home mom until she was able to return to work in her later years.

She was a banquet waitress for the Hanford Inn and Sheraton Inn, both in Mason City, until her retirement.

Mary Jo moved to Sunset Park Place, Dubuque, in April of 1998, where she resided until Aug. 6, 2003, when she moved to Heritage Manor.

Mary Jo enjoyed cooking, playing “500” and bingo, reading the newspaper and keeping up on her current events and listening to Twins baseball games on the radio. She had a special place in her heart for her children and their families. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.

Mary Jo is survived by her four children, Gerald “Jerry” (Mary) Jorgensen, Dubuque, LaVonne “Bonnie” (Jim) Wolske, Sundre, Alberta, Canada, Sharon (Mark) Gietl, St. Charles, Mo., and Daniel (Jacqueline) Jorgensen, Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine “Geri” (Tom) Wolfe, Algona, and Pat (Jim) Elbert, Algona; two brothers, Paul William “Peanuts” Kollasch, Whittemore, and Richard (Ellen) Kollasch, Princeton, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Lavern Kollasch, Algona, and Colleen Kollasch, Ostego, Minn., a brother-in-law, Ken Farrell, Whittemore; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, who passed away on March 25, 1992; her parents; and three siblings, Florence Farrell, James Kollasch and John Kollasch.

The family extends a special “thank you” to the staff of Heritage Manor, the staff of 2W Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, and the physicians, Drs. Whalen, Herman, Baer, Piekenbrock, Boxleiter and Kassas, who cared for Mary Jo these past few years.

John J. Sterling

WEBSTER CITY — John J. Sterling, 57, of Webster City, longtime Woolstock and Webster City businessman, died Monday (July 31, 2006) in a motorcycle/semi accident at the intersection of D-20 and Highway 69.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Boone officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, 800 Wilson Ave. in Webster City, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

John James Sterling, son of John and Mary O’Flaherty Sterling, was born March 5, 1949, at Eagle Grove. He received his education in the Eagle Grove schools graduating in 1967. He attended the University of Northern Iowa, receiving a degree in marketing.

On Aug. 8, 1969, he married Candis Sue Jones at Eagle Grove. The couple resided at rural Webster City. He worked at F.G. Jones Inc. of Woolstock as sales manager. To this union a daughter and a son were born. The couple divorced in 1988. He also worked at Van Diest Supply in sales. In 1996, he along with Rod Ruppel purchased Webster City Recreational Vehicles. He was corporate president and business manager.

John is survived by his fiancee and partner of 16 years, Barbara Dorenkamp; daughter, Heather Sterling, and son, Rory Sterling; father, John J. Sterling Sr., all of Webster City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Tom Jackson of Omaha, Neb., Ann and Dave Hanson of Kyle, Texas, Joe and Marie Sterling of Burnsville, Minn.; special cousin, Betsy Glatz Scottsdale, Ariz.; Barbara’s family, Nancy and David Anders, their children, Brody, Davis and Aidan Anders, all of West Des Moines, Kara and Neal Van Dyke, their daughter, Emma, all of Apple Valley, Minn., Mark Dorenkamp of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, the U.S. Highway 20 Corridor Association, the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association and the Webster City ABI.

His family and special friends were very important and he especially enjoyed building a future for Heather and Rory and watching them mature. John enjoyed the RV business and the people involved in making it a success. He touched many in his business relations as a business visionary and negotiator. He was a strong person who had overcome numerous diversities. Community awareness, a business leader, a dependable friend and willing to help a friend when the need arose were some of his traits.

John enjoyed his Canadian fishing trips to Barb’s mom’s place. His travels to Rome, London and Ireland to explore his Irish heritage made him very proud. He was a tree farm member who gave back to this earth by personally planting more than 100,000 walnut trees. He also had a special relation with Rudy, super dog.

Carol Stacy Peterson

MUSCATINE — Carol Stacy Peterson, 64, of Muscatine, died Monday (July 31, 2006) at Unity Hospital in Muscatine surrounded by her family.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at St. Mathias Church in Muscatine with the Rev. Jason Crossen of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish officiating. A funeral luncheon will be held following the Mass at Gannon Hall. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee, Ill.

Carol was born on, Jan. 24, 1942, in Kewanee, Ill., the daughter of Emmett and Mildred Block Stacy. She married Phillip J. Peterson on Dec. 28, 1963, in Kewanee, Ill.

Carol graduated from Kewanee High School in 1960 and later graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelors degree of education.

She worked as a teacher in Weathersfield, Ill., Middletown, N.J., Mason City, Iowa, and later retired from Central Middle School in Muscatine.

She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bunco, golfing at Geneva and going to the pool.

Survivors include three daughters, Stacy McGowan and husband, Glenn, of Poplar Grove, Ill., Laura Juszczyk and husband, Don, of Muscatine, and Sarah Peterson of Cherry Valley, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Francomano and husband, John, of Baltimore, Md., and Sharon Dura and husband, John, of Stevensville, Mich.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2004.

Mary ‘Rose’ Rosita Frank

MASON CITY — Mary “Rose” Rosita Frank, 52, of 1173 Onyx Court, Mason City, died on Monday (July 31, 2006) at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Minnesota after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E. in Mason City.

According to Rose’s wishes her body was cremated and at a later date a memorial service will be held in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Memorials may be given in Rose’s name to the American Cancer Society.

Mary “Rose” Rosita Frank was born on May 2, 1954, in Waltham, Mass., the daughter of Edmund “Ted” and Mary Belle (Riley) Keane. Rose grew up mostly in Europe until her family eventually moved to Aptos, Calif. She graduated from Aptos High School and Saint Edward’s University, Austin, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music and drama. She loved to sing and act. Her passion was young children — Rose worked in Santa Cruz, Calif., at various preschools before moving to Mason City, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Frank on Sept. 26, 1993, in Santa Cruz, Calif. To this marriage a very special daughter was born, Allie. In June 2002, Rose moved with her husband and daughter to Mason City. Rose worked at Mason City Head Start and most recently at Opportunity Village, Clear Lake, as a personal assistant.

As she struggled with her cancer treatment, she was always more concerned with the well being of her family. She regularly shared encouraging words with other cancer patients she met. Rose enjoyed being with people and was such a vibrant person through everything. Family was very important to Rose; she was very close with her immediate family, as well as her in-laws. Everyone she met will remember Rose as a vibrant, loving and giving person. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Rose was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, and was once active in CCD in both Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mason City.

Rose is survived by her husband, Joe Frank, Mason City; daughter, Allie Frank, Mason City; parents, Edmund “Ted” and Mary Belle Keane, Santa Cruz, Calif.; five brothers, Kevin (Lynn) Keane, Sacramento, Calif., Brian Keane, Santa Cruz, Calif., Barry (Sharon) Keane, Scotts Valley, Calif., Chad (Adrienne) Keane, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mike (Kim) Keane, Santa, Cruz, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

NORTHWOOD — Jenna Lynn Nerad, 23, of Iowa City, formerly of Northwood, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2006) at her home in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the First Lutheran Church, 309 N. Ninth St., Northwood, with the Rev. Wayne Hagen and the Rev. Barbara Wills officiating. Following the services, and according to her wishes, cremation will take place with inurnment at a later date in the cemetery in Toeterville.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S., Northwood. Visitation will also be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the church.

Jenna Lynn Nerad was born on Sept. 19, 1982, in Osage, the daughter of Randy Nerad and Cynthia (Brizius) Pangburn. She attended and received her elementary education in the Northwood-Kensett Community Schools, and completed her final years in high school in St. Ansgar, graduating in the class of 2001.

Jenna also received her LPN degree from Kirkwood College in Iowa City, and would have been a senior this year at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and would have graduated with an RN degree in 2007.

While attending college, Jenna also worked at the Oaknoll Nursing Home and at the Hamburg Restaurant in Iowa City.

Jenna loved animals, writing poetry, reading, flowers and running. She was a free spirit, loved life and had a big heart. She loved everyone and never was judgmental, loved the elderly people, and believed that we shouldn’t judge people for how they looked on the outside, but how they looked on the inside.

Jenna also enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and had traveled to the northwest, south, and the west coast, but loved the northwest coast the most and was hoping to be a nurse in the Seattle, Wash., area when she graduated from nursing school.

Harriet E. Rippentrop

TITONKA — Harriet E. Rippentrop, of Titonka, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2006) at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, at the age of 87.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the Ramsey Reformed Church in rural Titonka, with the Rev. Dennis Redeker officiating. Burial will be in the Ramsey Reformed Church Cemetery in rural Titonka.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 4, 2006, at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Titonka, and will continue one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Harriet Evelyn Rippentrop was born May 4, 1919, in Titonka, daughter of John and Maggie (Heitland) Sleper. In early years she attended school in Titonka and the family moved to a farm near Buffalo Center. She attended rural school through the 8th grade and graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1937.

On Dec. 15, 1937, Harriet married Raymond Rippentrop. The couple farmed north of Titonka until Raymond’s death in 1978. She moved into Titonka in 1980 and resided there until 2002 when she moved to Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Harriet was a member of Ramsey Reformed Church in rural Titonka.

Harriet loved being with her family. She enjoyed writing poetry, working with flowers and playing cards.

She is survived by four daughters, Myrna Thilges (Greg) of Bode, Iris Jones (Ron) of Fort Dodge, Inez Boyken (Quentin) of West Des Moines, and Ramona Peterson (Jim) of Fort Dodge; one son, Brent (Sara) of Urbandale; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Rippentrop, of Titonka; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Ona Sleper, Alvin and Irene Gray and Iola Gray; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond, on Sept. 28, 1978; one son, Roger; a great-granddaughter, Devan Thilges; a granddaughter-in-law, Shelley Thilges; three sisters, Gertie Buffington, Grace Neeland and Alma Tjaden; and two brothers, Henry and Albert Sleper.

NORTHWOOD — Lorraine M. Julseth, 84, of 4736 Wheelerwood Drive in Northwood, died Thursday (Aug. 3, 2006) at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at Elk Creek Lutheran Church in rural Kensett with the Rev. Thomas Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Elk Creek Cemetery.

Lorraine was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Grafton, the daughter of Emil and Alvina (Wilke) Hackbart. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1940 and then Waldorf College in Forest City.

She worked as a secretary at Deckers in Mason City and then at an Air Force base in Utah. She moved back to Grafton and worked for Standard Oil in Mason City until it closed.

She married Truman Julseth on Sept. 11, 1955, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. They have lived on the same farm ever since they have been married.

She was an avid supporter of her nieces and nephews and enjoyed attending their sporting events. She was very involved in church activities, enjoyed bowling and working with 4-H. She was a member of Elk Creek Lutheran Church.

Lorraine will be sadly missed by her husband, Truman Julseth, of Northwood; brother, Roger Hackbart and his wife, Lucille, of Golden Valley, Minn.; brother-in-law, Connie Julseth, of Northwood; sister-in-law, Thelma Gaarder, of Sibley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and her brother, Robert Hackbart and his wife, Loretta.

LAKE MILLS — Gary Bechtel, 56, of Lake Mills, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2006) at his home in Lake Mills.

Gary Allan Bechtel was born Feb. 28, 1950, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Dale and Marilyn (Revenig) Bechtel.

He graduated from Hampton High School “Class of 1968” and attended NIACC in Mason City. He then served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Gary was united in marriage on May 12, 1973, to Jean Cerwinske in Hampton. This union was blessed with two children, Chad and Abby.

Gary loved his family and enjoyed camping, fishing, his many friends and watching NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his son, Chad, and his wife, Shannyn Bechtel, and his daughter, Abby, and her husband, Jason (Kirby) Holtan, all of Lake Mills, his two granddaughters, Madison and Becca Holtan, who were very special to him; his mother, Marilyn Bechtel, of Hampton; three sisters, Sandra and her husband, Ken Hartkopp, of Sioux City; Joan and her husband, Duane Norem, of Dows; and Kathy and her husband, Mike Anderson, of New Hampton; brother-in-law, Marvin and his wife, Brenda Cerwinske; sister-in-law, Marlene and her husband, Bryan Tapp; and mother-in-law, Dolores Buttjer, all of Hampton; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Norma J. Frazier was born Oct. 16, 1931, the daughter of Elmo and Ella (Bockelman) Frazier in Clear Lake. Norma lived on the farm most of her younger life and attended country schools. She also attended Roosevelt School and graduated from Mason City High School.

Norma was married and then later divorced. She has one son, Dan L. Vasquez. of Mason City. Norma worked for Mode-O-Day Company for 19 years, and after they closed, she worked for Alexander Manufacturing for 9 1/2 years, retiring in October of 1996.

Norma enjoyed attending country music concerts and bowling. She bowled for many years and attended many state and national tournaments. Norma also enjoyed riding horses, dogs and cats, especially her special cat, Tigger.

Norma is survived by one son, Dan L. Vasquez and fiancée, Candy Pitkin, of Mason City; one niece, Linda Watkins, of Albert Lea, Minn.; and two great-nephews, Tim and Ben Wallkens, of Albert Lea, Minn.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.

Marcella Loretta Poole was born on Jan. 12, 1936, to Leo and Viola (Balik) Carney in Mason City. She graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School in 1955. Marcella was employed by several area nursing homes as a nurse’s aide.

She was very active in her later years, volunteering for the Salvation Army and Charlie Brown Day Care.

Marcella enjoyed camping and traveling with friends.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Marcella is survived by her son, Calvin E. Poole, of Mason City; brothers, Robert (Kathleen) Carney, of Mason City, and Patrick (Toni) Carney, of Burke, Va.; and a sister, Mary Ann (Larry) Thompson, of Glenwood Springs, Colo. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
