    Judy Ellen Conklin, 68, died at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa on Friday, May 1, 2009. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 6, 10:30 a.m., at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will be in Dawson Township Cemetery near Paton, Iowa.
    Judy is survived by her mother, Isabelle Lawton Godwin of Jefferson; daughter, Angela Gibson (Ned) of Gowrie, Iowa; son, Richard Conklin Jr. of Harcourt, Iowa; two brothers, Dr. Jim Lawton of Boxholm, Iowa and Jerry Lawton (Cheryl) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    Lois Marie Reicherts, 80, of Clear Lake, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.
    A memorial service for Lois will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 6, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North 4th Street, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating.  Inurnment will be held in the Clear Lake Cemetery. 
    The family of Lois Reicherts has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City in her memory.
    Lois Marie Reicherts was born on Nov. 12, 1928, in Conrath, Wis., the daughter of John and Jennie (Holt) Costello.  Lois moved to Rochester, Minn., before moving to Spring Valley, Minn., in 1931, where she attended two different country schools and Spring Valley High School.  Lois worked during the summer at Rochester, before moving to Minneapolis, Minn., where she worked as a nanny for eight months. She then returned to Spring Valley where she worked at the HiWay Café. It was there she met her future husband, Carl.  She was united in marriage to Carl Lee Reicherts on Oct. 2, 1948, at Spring Valley.  After their marriage they moved to Clear Lake.
    Lois had a special place in her heart for her nephew, David and wife B.T. and nieces, Peggy and Sandy.  Her life was devoted to taking care of her family.  Her house was always open to family and friends.  Lois looked forward to the 4th of July family reunions and picnics.  Lois had an adventurous spirit, traveling to New Zealand, Australasia and Alaska, riding in a hot-air balloon over New Zealand and climbing a glacier in Alaska in her 70’s, and taking many trips to Texas.
    Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ronald (Sue) Reicherts of Trimont, Minn., Donna Reicherts Hendrick of Mason City, LuAnn Reicherts and Rodney (Coleen) Reicherts of Carrollton, Texas; seven grandchildren, Travis Hendrick and Cody Abundis of Clear Lake, Shannon and Sarah Reicherts of Carrollton, Heather (Ryan) Larson of St. James, Minn., Hilary Baarson of Fairmont, Minn., and Derek Baarson of Ormsby, Minn.; two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Jackson Larson of St. James; sister, Ann (Duane) Christianson of LeRoy, Minn.; two brothers, James Costello of Spring Valley, and Robert Costello of Dilworth, Minn.; brother-in-law, Elmer (Blanche) Reicherts of Clear Lake; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Reicherts of Lake Mills, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as other extended family members and friends.
    Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jennie Costello; her husband, Carl in 1992; her son, Charles (Chuckie) 1967; and brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

    Stanley L. Holcomb, 68, 205 4th Ave. S., Clear Lake, died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.  A funeral service was held Thursday, May 7, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Following the service, according to his wishes, his body was cremated.  Memorials may be given to the Stanley L. Holcomb Memorial Fund.
     Stanley was born Aug. 11, 1940 in Ackley, Iowa, the son of John and Lottie (Blossie) Holcomb.  He attended school in Ackley and rode the rails and lived in a Hobo Camp.   While growing up he also worked at a canning factory in Ackley. He served in the National Guard and the Army Reserve.
     Stan married Colleen Nelson on March 17, 1968 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  He worked for Martin Marietta as an explosive technician and later worked at Perkins as a prep cook.  Stan enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and playing in the pool league.
     Stanley is survived by his wife of 42 years, Colleen Holcomb, Clear Lake; three children, Kimberly Tesdahl and her husband, Scott, Exeter, Mo., Melissa Arnold and her husband, Scott, Rake, Iowa and Delta Holcomb and Todd, Clear Lake; five grandchildren, Amanda Arnold, Alisa Arnold, Coleen Arnold, Matthew Holcomb and Mitchell Holcomb; two great-grandchildren, Daiman Benny and Skylar Lopez; brother, John Holcomb and his wife, Dorothy, Ackley; sister, Velma Clark, Waterloo, Iowa; three brothers-in-law, Larry Nelson and his wife, Janet, Mason City, Mike Nelson and  Wendy, Mason City, and Ken Nelson, Clear Lake; sister-in-law, Kathy Swan and her husband, Jessie, Lakeland, Fla.; good friends Larry and Roxanne Wildebore, Coulter, Iowa and Ronnie and Donna Kiefer, Des Moines, Iowa; nieces, nephews and many friends.
     Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; son, J.R.; infant brother, LeRoy Holcomb; sister, Mary; nephew, B.J. Slutter; and great-nephew, Chad Nelson.

    Kenneth Dean Rasmus, 61, of Clear Lake, passed away on May 6, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
     Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 12, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Frank Beaty of Zion Evangelical & Reformed Church, Garner, Iowa officiating. Inurnment was at Memorial Park Cemetery,  Mason City, Iowa.  Full Military rites were provided by the Clear Lake V.F.W. Memorials may be given to the Kenneth D. Rasmus Memorial Fund.
     Kenny was born on Feb. 27, 1948 to Irwin “Dean” and Arlene (Schmidt) Rasmus in Franklin County Hospital, Hampton, Iowa.  Kenny was confirmed at the Zion ENR Church in Garner in the spring of 1963. Kenny graduated from Garner Hayfield High School in 1966. Kenneth was active in sports.  He attended NIACC for one year majoring in business courses.
    Kenny enlisted in the Marines June 17,1968. He served with Service Company, 11th Engineers Battalion, 3rd Marine Division.  Kenny served one tour of Viet Nam for 11 months and 25 days.  He received the following commendations; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnam Service Medal w/1*, Combat Action Ribbon, and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.  Kenny was honorably discharged from the Marine Corp on Feb. 27, 1970. Kenneth was an active member of the Garner VFW.
     Kenny was employed at Iowa Mold Tooling until he took the position of Business Agent for the Teamsters Union, Local 828. Kenneth then took the position of selling life insurance and also selling mortgages. Because of health reasons, Kenneth retired.
     Kenny married Lizz Danzow in the summer of 1971.  Kenny and Lizz had a son, Shad, born on May 6, 1973.  Kenny’s greatest interests in life were family, friends, and of course riding “Sweetheart”, his 1971 Shovelhead as well as playing with Günther.  Another passion of Kenny’s was being a prankster, playing jokes on anyone who he felt deserved to be played upon. Telling jokes from the beginning to the end, one after another.
     Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Irwin Dean Rasmus; his ex-wife, Lizz; and ex-wife, Vicky.
     Kenneth is survived by his son, Shad Rasmus of Clear Lake; his mother, Arlene Rasmus of Garner, his sister, Judy Schroeder (Dick) of Grand Blanc, Mich.; a brother, Glenn (Mary) Rasmus of Klemme, Iowa. Kenneth is also survived by his nephew, John (Kendra) Schroeder of Flushing, Mich.; nieces, Kate Schroeder of Grand Blanc, and Angie (Matt) Greiman of Goodell, Iowa; nephews, Ryan (Kate) Rasmus of Waubay, S. D. and Marcus Rasmus of Klemme, Iowa.

    Paul Radcliffe Larson of 15380 1st Street, Clear Lake, died May 6, 2009 at Hospice of North Iowa, leaving Barbara Larson, his wife of 45 years.
    Born June 1, 1926 in Fargo, N.D., Larson received his education in Fargo and Marshalltown, Iowa where he graduated from high school. He served in the United States Navy and, following the war, attended Iowa State University.  He began his career in Marshalltown starting a design/build business that focused on residential and commercial structures whose designs were considered ahead of the times.  Some of his projects included the Marshall County Mental Health Center, Wolf Eye Clinic, Lennox Industries Educational Auditorium, Boss Building, Hamilton-Goes Building and many Marshalltown homes.  Other business interests included design and operating restaurants in Marshalltown and Atlanta, Ga., partnership in Western Manufacturing and its subsidiaries.  Paul was a member of Marshalltown Rotary and active in the Central Iowa Art Association.
    Paul and Barbara made Clear Lake their retirement residence in the early 80’s, where Paul had been active over 30 years as a member and past president of the Association For The Preservation of Clear Lake.  Paul Larson leaves many samples of his promoting of Clear Lake with his sailboat design on the Clear Lake street markers, the Clear Lake welcome signs entering the city and even the waste receptacle enclosures.  Since moving to Clear Lake, Paul enjoyed rebuilding Model T’s, donating several completed cars for charitable fund raisers or outright gifts.  He was a past president of Model T Ford Club International, Inc. and was serving in a board of director capacity at the time of his death.  In 1994 and 2006 he promoted and brought to Clear Lake the Model T International Summer Tour which brought some 900 vintage Model T’s to tour the North Iowa area.  He will be remembered by many driving Santa in his white parade Model T for many years in both the 4th of July Parade and the Christmas By The Lake Parade.
    Paul Larson was preceded in death by his parents, Nelly B. and Lloyd J. Larson and a brother, Dr. Lloyd B. Larson of Scottsdale, Az.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three children, Julie, Tom and Jim Crandall; Paul’s sister, Belle Miller of Winfield, Iowa; brothers, Bill Larson of Fayetteville, Ark. and Jim Larson of Clear Lake.
    No memorial service is planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

    Richard “Dick” L. Ebeling, 58, of Mason City, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.  Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at the First United Methodist Church, Mason City with the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Hospice of North Iowa, or the Ventura Gun Club.
    Dick was born on April 17, 1951 in Mason City, the son of Leo John and Lucille Barbara (Watson) Ebeling. He graduated from Newman High School in 1969 and also attended the North Iowa Area Community College. He worked for Curries from 1969 until early 2008. During those many years Dick worked in various capacities, from plant floor, to sales, then finally Communications Manager until he was no longer able to work due to his cancer illness. He was united in marriage to Julie (Nielsen) Langhoff on March 6, 1993, at First United Methodist Church in Mason City. In the past, Dick competed in dog trials and continued to brilliantly train his Labradors. Dick loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his passion. He enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Clear Lake. Dick was a member of the Ventura Golf Club and also shot sporting clays at every opportunity. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking and gardening with his wife, Julie, and was most particular about nurturing home grown tomatoes every summer. He loved being around his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Julie E.L. Ebeling of Mason City; children, Tamie Ames and husband, Monte, Ben Ebeling and wife, Kasie, Sara Peterson and husband, Kyle, all of Mason City; step-son, Jake Langhoff (Lisa Blinkmann) of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Mikayla Ferch and Kaiden Ames; mother and father-in-law, Darrell and Judy Nielsen of Mason City; brother, John Ebeling and wife, Jeannette of Clear Lake; brother-in-law, Dave Johnson and fiancée, Barb Wolner of Victoria, Minn.; Jim Nielsen and wife, Debbie of Muskegon, Mich.; sister-in-law, Kris Corl and husband, Tom of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; many cousins, nieces and nephews; loving pets, Teyha, Bailey and granddogs, Eddie, Gunner and Jack.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Jane Johnson.

    Lois Fern Trojahn, 84, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the IOOF Home, 1037 19th St. SW, Mason City, Iowa.
    Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at the United Methodist Church, 508 2nd Ave. N. Clear Lake, with the Rev. Diana Hoover officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at a later time at the Pleasantview Cemetery, Hartley, Iowa. Family suggests memorials to Lois Trojahn memorial fund.
    Lois was born Dec. 14, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Tracy (Muhs) Bracker at Hartley.  She graduated from Hartley High School in 1942.  She obtained her normal teachers certificate and taught country school in rural Hartley prior to her marriage.  She married Raymond Trojahn on July 18, 1945 in Hartley.
    They farmed in the Hartley area for three years.  They moved with their daughter, Becky, to Texas in 1949.  They moved to Clear Lake in 1968. She worked at Target as a receiving clerk for over 10 years retiring in 1985.
    She taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years.  She spent her entire life as a caring mother and homemaker.  She and her husband loved to square dance and line dance with the River City Squares and dance to big band music such as Sammy Jensen.
    Lois is survived by her three daughters, Becky Berg and husband, Larry, Spirit Lake, Iowa, Nancy Huber and husband, Eugene, Clear Lake, Billie Hartman and Shannon Bilyeu, Forest City, Iowa; six grandchildren, Eric Berg and wife, Angela, Spirit Lake, Bryan Berg and  wife, Kristin, Santa Fe, N.M., Kelley Huber, Dubuque, Iowa, Sara Huber, Clear Lake, Matthew Hartman and Mandy Hartman, Forest City; and a brother, Roger Bracker and wife, Sharon, Omaha, Neb.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; and sister, Betty Witt.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge.

    Nancy C. Harvey, 69, 1206 South Shore Dr., Clear Lake, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.  A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22,  10 a.m., at Galilean Lutheran Church, Highway 18 West, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Jeff Ungs officiating.  Visitation with family will begin at 9 a.m. at the church.  According to her wishes, her body has been cremated.  Memorials may be given to the Nancy C. Harvey Memorial Fund.
     Nancy was born July 2, 1939 in Vero Beach, Fla., the daughter of Paul and Ruby (Johnson) Christensen.  She graduated from Lake City High School, Lake City, Fla.  She lived in Clearwater, Fla. where she raised her children.  Nancy moved to Grand Junction, Fla. and lived there for nine years before moving to Clear Lake in 1999.  In the winter, Nancy was a “snowbird” going to Colorado.
     Nancy volunteered at Opportunity Village and restored dolls. She loved nature, the outdoors, fishing and gardening.  She especially loved “giving” to people and caring for animals.
     Nancy is survived by her partner in life, Herbert Shevins, Longmont, Colo.; two children, Diedra Harvey, Grand Junction, Colo. and Jonathan Harvey and his wife, Lori, Aurora, Colo.; sister, Betty Wind, Clear Lake; brother, Sonny Christensen, Ocala, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Christina Harvey, Palisade, Colo.
     Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lily.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapels, Clear Lake, was in charge.

    Shirley Lee Brattrud, 74, of 710 N. 6th St., Clear Lake, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.
    Funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, 10:30 a.m., at Galilean Lutheran Church, Clear Lake with the Rev. Jeff Ungs officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 -7 p.m. at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel and then one hour before the service on Thursday at the church.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.   Family suggests memorials to Hospice of North Iowa or American Cancer Society.
    Shirley was born Sept. 3, 1934 in Stanton, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Vanderholm) Klang.  She moved with her folks at an early age and attended school in Mason City and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1951.
    Shirley married Gaylord Brattrud Nov. 11, 1951 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.
    She worked at Peterson’s Café, Clear Lake and later at the Mason City Airport Restaurant.  In 1973 she attended N.I.A.C.C., where she obtained her L.P.N. degree.  She worked at Park Hospital, later North Iowa Medical Center. In 1990 she graduated from Iowa Central Community College with a R.N. degree. She continued to work at North Iowa and later Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, retiring in 1996.
    Shirley enjoyed listening to music, dancing, quilting, her flower beds, her cats and especially being with her family.
    She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.
    She is survived by her three children, Shelley Garlock, Clear Lake, Jeffrey Brattrud and his wife, Cindy, Clear Lake and Scott Brattrud and wife, Karo, Clear Lake; six grandchildren, Mikki Guerdet and her husband, Al, Charles City, Iowa, Erik Bergman and his wife, Jessica, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Zack McCauley, Waterloo, Iowa, Dain Mann, Clear Lake, Jenna Brattrud, Cedar Falls, and Ryan Brattrud, Cedar Falls; great-grandson, Cayden Brager; very special cousin, Pauline Van Heel, Mason City; her best friend, Ginger Braun, Mason City and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Don and Bud Klang; two sisters, Marge McMurray and Louise Wilhelm, and a son-in-law, Dennis Garlock.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

           Nichole “Nikki” M. Gansen, 31, of 413 28th Street S.W., Mason City, Iowa died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Hospice inpatient unit of North Iowa, Mason City.
    Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 27, 1:30 p.m., at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel of Mason City, with Father Kenneth Gehling officiating.
    Nichole was born in Iowa City, Iowa on Nov. 4, 1977, the daughter of Brenda (Gansen) Tuttle. She graduated from Mason City High School.
    She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter, attending Outlaws Hockey games, watching her two cousins race (Cory #6 and Mick #6 Jr.) at the I-35 Speedway, taking long walks and hanging out with her friends.
    Nichole is survived by her mother, Brenda (Gansen) Tuttle, Mason City; step-dad, Dan Tuttle, Mason City; daughter, Rayne Bentzin, Mason City; brother, Eric Gansen (Kendall Peterson), Mason City; grandparents, Don and Doris Gansen, of Clear Lake; grandparents, Bob and Deb Tuttle, Mason City and Wayne and Jean Roberts, Clear Lake; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

    Melvin LeRoy Hempe, 74, of 20 North 4th Street, Clear Lake, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa after a long battle with prostate cancer.
    A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 28, 10:30 a.m., at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North 4th Street, Clear Lake, with the Rev. John Tilp officiating.  Inurnment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt, Iowa, with full military honors conducted by the Britt Honor Guard.
    Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.
    Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Melvin.
    Melvin was born February 19, 1935, the son of Andrew and Marilla (Clark) Hempe, in Britt, Iowa.  He graduated from Britt High School in 1953, and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1960.  Melvin married Doris Kopacek on June 26, 1958, and to this union six children were born.  In 1976 Melvin married Dorothy Salamanowicz.
    Melvin was a carpenter for the majority of his life.  He also owned a resort near the town of Sioux Lookout, in Canada for six years.  Melvin spent time in Denver, Colo., and Las Vegas, Nev., finally retiring back in Clear Lake in 2000.  He enjoyed fishing, especially his fishing trips to Canada with his sons and grandson, morning coffee with his friends, and painting.  He also loved to play Texas Hold ‘em Poker, and even played in tournaments.  
    He is survived by his children Cynthia Hempe, St. Paul, Minn., Melanie (Phil) Harrington, Grinnell, Iowa, Greg Hempe, Belmond, Iowa,  RaNae (Tim) Kelly, Plover, Wis., and Jay (Kathy) Hempe, Maple Grove, Minn.; his stepchildren, Alvin Kaskie, Betty Kruger, and Craig Kaskie; 11 grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Ann May, Tuscon, Az.
    Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Liz Ann Hempe; and his brother, Arthur E. Hempe.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Hospice of North Iowa.

    Silas Orville Fatland, 91, 20 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, died Friday, May 29, at his home.  A graveside service was held Monday, June 1, at the Clear Lake Cemetery with the Rev. Diana Hoover officiating. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa or the Clear Lake United Methodist Church.
     Silas was born May 5, 1918 at Ellsworth, Iowa to Ole and Inger (Winterton) Fatland.  He moved with his parents in 1928 to Clear Lake to a farm south of town.  He farmed with his dad until he went into the Army in May 1941.  He was a member of First Special Service Force at Ft. Harrison, Helena, Mont.
     On Oct. 12, 1942 he married Laurleen Kocourek, in a military wedding at Ft. Harrison.  After his discharge they farmed south of Clear Lake until 1958 when they bought a farm at Madison, S.D.  In April of 1990 they sold the farm and retired to Clear Lake.
    He had two daughters, Judy and Roberta and one son, David.
    Silas loved horses and cattle. He liked to play cards and he loved his grandchildren.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clear Lake.
     Silas is survived by his wife, Laurleen; daughter, Judy Gartamaker of Outing, Minn.; three grandsons, David Gartamaker and his wife, Mary of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Scott Hanneman and his wife, Darcie, of Silverdale, Wash., and Jason Hanneman and his wife, Daylyn, of Casa Grande, Az.; great-grandchildren, Brandon Gartamaker, Colin and Emily Hanneman, Kenzie and Kadea Hanneman; and two step-great grandsons, Tyler and Cody.
     Silas was preceded in death by his son, David; his daughter, Roberta; his son-in-law, Robert Hanneman; his parents, Ole and Inger Fatland and his brother, James.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

     Adoline Catherine Halsne, 92, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City.
    A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 2, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating.  Memorials may be directed to the Adoline C. Halsne Memorial.
    Adoline Catherine Tweed was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Worth County, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Bertha (Hovland) Tweed.  She attended and graduated from Fertile High School, Fertile, Iowa.  After high school she graduated from Lincoln Nebraska Teachers College.  She taught country school in the North Iowa area until she was united in marriage to Magnus Halsne on Nov. 14, 1941, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
    Adoline and Magnus were blessed with four children, Mary Ann, Alan, Nancy, and Mark.  She was a homemaker until her children were raised, she then worked for the Petal Shoppe in Hanlontown and Clear Lake. There she was given the nickname “Doc.”
    Adoline enjoyed gardening-especially her flowers, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and reading. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.
    She is survived by her children Alan (Helen) Halsne, Laurel, Mont., Nancy Suby, Fertile, Mark Halsne, Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren, Michele Prestholt, Long Beach, Calif., Marshall Prestholt, San Francisco, Calif., Tony Halsne, Park City, Mont., Niki (John) Marancik, Billings, Mont., Stacy Walker and Emily Suby, both of Fertile; great-grandchildren, Alyson and Jenna Walker, both of Fertile; one sister, Elaine Halsne, Mason City; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Adoline is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Ann (Hugh) Prestholt; son-in-law, Brad Suby and brother-in-law, Milton Halsne.
    Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
