Hattie B. Baumgart, 1912-2002

Former Garner resident, Mrs.
Hattie B. (Jass) Baumgart, of
Mesa, Arizona, died on Saturday,
January 5, 2002, at the Mesa
Lutheran Hospital. She was 89.
Funeral services
were held on Tuesday, January 8,
at the Mountain View Memorial
Chapel, Mesa, with the Rev.
Burton Giese of the Eternal Life
Lutheran Church officiating.
Hattie Baumgart,
was born on May 8, 1912, on a
farm northeast of Garner. She
was the daughter of Albert and
Helena (Bohn) Jass. She was
baptized and confirmed at the
St, John Lutheran Church,
Garner. During World War II she
worked at a defense plant in
Chicago. She was employed in the
Hancock County Auditor's Office
from 1948 to 1968.
On September 20,
1963, she married Fred Baumgart
at the St. Paul's Lutheran
Church in Garner. The couple
made their home in Garner and
had a residence at Walker,
Minnesota. They moved to Mesa in
1976. Mrs. Baumgart and her
husband traveled, selling for
Michael Todd, Inc. in Iowa and
Minnesota.
Survivors include
a son, Gary Baumgart and his
wife, Linda; grandchildren,
Elissa, Eric and Kristen
Baumgart, all of Dallas, Texas;
and a great granddaughter. Other
survivors include a niece,
Violette (Eisberg)
Thompson-Rickerl of Charles
City; a great-niece and
great-nephew; and a godchild.
She was preceded
in death by her husband, Fred;
her parents; two sisters, Mrs.
Albert (Lora) Boehnke and Mrs.
Walter (Amanda) Eisberg, both of
Garner; four brothers, Edward
Jass of Ventura, Ralph Jass,
Albert Jass, and Eugene Jass of
Clear Lake.

Edna M. Smith,
91, of Garner, died on
Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at
the Concord Care Center, Garner.
Funeral services
were held on Monday, January 14,
at the Zion Evangelical and
Reformed Church in Garner, with
the Rev. Darrell Weber
officiating. Music was provided
by organist, Margaret Jass who
accompanied a vocal duet of
Dorothy DeVary and Lynell
Kohlmeyer and congregational
hymns. Ushers were Allan DeWitt,
Alan Jass and Marvin Diekhuis.
Casket bearers
were Merv Dirksen, Scott
Dirksen, Kevin Dirksen, Matthew
Dirksen, Vern Hanna and Calvin
"Johnny" Goll. Interment was in
the Memorial Park Cemetery. The
Cataldo Funeral Home of Garner
was in charge of the
arrangements.
Edna Mae Smith,
the daughter of Fred and Maren
(Back) Petersen was born on May
4, 1910 at Blairstown, Iowa. She
attended school at Belle Plaine
and moved with her family to
Garner where she graduated from
high school in 1927. Following
graduation, she taught rural
school.
On May 4, 1929,
she was married to Earle Smith
at Garner. They farmed southeast
of Garner until 1970 when they
retired and moved to Garner.
Edna enjoyed her
great-grandchildren and playing
cards. She was a member of the
Zion Evangelical and Reformed
Church.
Survivors include
a daughter, Joan Dirksen and her
husband, Merv of Clear Lake; two
grandsons, Scott Dirksen of
Clear Lake and Kevin Dirksen and
his wife, Dawn of Columbus,
Indiana; two great-grandsons,
Matthew and Stefan Dirksen of
Columbus; a sister, Kathryn Goll
of Garner; and nieces, nephews
and friends.
She was preceded
in death by her husband, Earle
on August 4, 1989; two brothers;
and two sisters.

Gertrude Meyer, 1903-2002

Gertrude A.
Meyer, 98, of Mason City,
formerly of Clear Lake, died on
Thursday, January 10, 2002, at
the Good Shepherd Care Center.
Funeral services
were held on Monday, January 14,
at the Redeemer Lutheran Church,
Ventura. The Rev. Daird Korth
officiated. A graveside service
was held the same day at the
Clear Lake Cemetery.
Memorials may be
directed to either the Clear
Lake or Ventura Public
Libraries. The Ward Van Slyke
Colonial Chapel was in charge of
the arrangements.
Gertrude Meyer,
was born on April 27, 1903 in
Elkader, Iowa. She was the
daughter of Fred and Minnie
(Behrens) Radloff. She moved
from Elkader to the Klemme area
before being united in marriage
to Victor Meyer in Garner. They
farmed near Garner and Ventura
for many years and in 1937,
while still farming, they
purchased the Mason City
Hatchery. In 1956, they ceased
farming and moved to Clear Lake
while continuing to operate the
hatchery.
Mrs. Meyer was a
member of the Redeemer Lutheran
Church and the Dorcas Society,
the Ventura Garden Club and the
R.H. Club in Ventura. She
enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include
her two daughters, Dolores Kotz
and her husband, Earl of Clear
Lake and Janice Waldron and her
husband, Don of Winter Park,
Colorado; nine grandchildren,
Dennis Kotz and his wife, Tanya
of Clear Lake, Krismar Kotz of
Mason City, Randall Kotz and his
wife, Dianne of Clear Lake, Dana
Wilkinson and her husband, Mark
of Bettendorf, Dawn Harrington
and her husband, Paul of Woden,
Brian Waldron and his wife, Rita
of Ventura and Todd Waldron and
his wife, Sherri, Craig Waldron
and Scott Waldron, all of Winter
Park, Colorado; 15
great-grandchildren; five
sisters-in-law, Evelyn Radloff,

Minnie R. Krull, 1907-2002

Minnie R. Krull,
94, of Crystal Lake, died on
Saturday, January 12, 2002, at
the Kavanaugh House, Des Moines.
Funeral services
were held on Tuesday, January
15, at the United Methodist
Church in Crystal Lake. The Rev.
Gary Marzolf officiated.
Interment was in the Olena Mound
Cemetery in Buffalo Center. The
Cataldo Funeral Home of Britt
was in charge of the
arrangements.
Minnie Ruth
Krull, was born on July 25, 1907
in Buffalo Center, to George and
Emma (DeVries) Liverca. She
received her education in the
rural schools near Buffalo
Center. Minnie then taught in
the rural schools of Winnebago
County for ten years.
On June 1, 1935, she was married
to John "Jack" Krull at the
Little Brown Church in Nashua.
They lived north of Britt for
nearly 30 years where they
farmed and raised their eight
children. After retiring from
farming, they moved to Crystal
Lake and in 1997 to Ankeny.
Mrs. Krull was a
long time member of the Prairie
Center Methodist Church and
often served as the church
pianist. She was also a 4-H
Leader and a life time volunteer
in many efforts in support of
her husband and children.
She is survived
by her eight children, Larry
Krull and his wife, Vi of
Anamosa, Carol Stone and her
husband, Marvin of Grinnell,
Gene Krull and his wife, Mary of
Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sharon
Drake Lonsdale and her husband,
Tom of Ames, Dennis Krull and
his wife, Dima of Ankeny, Donna
Ennis and her husband, Pat of
Clarion, Janet Drake and her
husband, Stephen of Ankeny and
Linda Bennett and her husband,
Norman of Earlham; 18
grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by her husband, Jack on
September 11, 2000; a grandson,
David Krull; and four brothers.

Clement L. Malek, 81, of Garner,
died on Sunday, January 13,
2002, at the Muse Norris Hospice
Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Funeral services
were held on Tuesday, January
15, at the St. Wenceslaus
Catholic Church in Duncan. The
Rev. Michael Schueller
officiated. Bill Malek, Jr. was
the lector. Altar servers were
Cody Liska and Andy Liska. Music
was provided by organist, Mary
Kopacek who accompanied soloist,
Louise Zrostlik and the church
choir. Ushers were Francis
Oborny and Leo Wellik.
Casket bearers
were Ed Mattes, David Malek,
Gene Malek, Jerry Malek, Steve
Malek and Don Malek. Honorary
bearers were Jon Lee, Roger
McCullough and Craig Quisling.
Interment was in the St. John's
Catholic Cemetery, with military
rites by the Britt American

Clement Lambert
Malek, the son of George and
Antonia (Fiala) Malek, was born
on April 19, 1920, on a farm
north of Duncan. He received his
education at the Hayfield
School. He was inducted into the
U.S. Army in June of 1942 and
served his country overseas for
three years in Africa, Sicily
and Europe. Clement received a
silver star and two bronze stars
and was discharged on October
27, 1945.
On September 24,
1946, he married Alice Ahlfs at
the Holy Family Catholic Church
in Mason City. They lived north
of Duncan where he farmed and
worked at Armour in Mason City
for 18 years. In August of 2001,
the couple moved into Garner.
He was a member
of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic
Church, Catholic Workman Branch
#51 and the Britt American
Legion Post #315.
Survivors include
his wife of 55 years, Alice of
Garner; nine children, Joyce
Mattes and her husband, Edward
of Kalona, David Malek and his
wife, Sheila of Mason City, Ruth
McCullough and her husband,
Roger of Fort Dodge, Gene Malek
and his wife, Laurie of Mason
City, Jerry Malek and his wife,
Marian of Topeka, Kansas, Steve
Malek of Mason City, Marcia
Quisling and her husband, Craig
of Forest City, Mary Lee and her
husband, Jon of Clear Lake and

Violet G. Trulson, of Britt,
died on Tuesday, January 15,
2002, at the Westview Care
Center, in Britt, Iowa. She was
90.
Funeral services
were held on Friday, January 18,
at the First Lutheran Church of
Britt. The Rev. John Meyer
officiated. Music was provided
by organist, Donna Tech who
accompanied soloist, Marlene
Smith. Ushers were Reta Klipping
and Paul Smith.
Casket bearers
were Chad Trulson, J. R.
Gebhart, John Buck, Chris
Trulson, Roger Anderson and
Klinton Patterson. Burial was in
the Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

Violet G.
Trulson, the daughter of Chris
and Mary Brovold Anderson, was
born on November 20, 1911 in
Ottosen. She received her
education in the Ottosen Schools
and graduated from the Ottosen
High School. Following
graduation, she moved to Britt
to help her sister operate the
Allison Hotel.
She was united in
marriage with Ted Trulson on
October 17, 1931 at the Bethel
Baptist Parsonage in Britt. The
couple made their home in Britt.
Mrs. Trulson was employed as a
receptionist for Dr. Camp for
many years. She also was
employed as a receptionist for
the Ewing Funeral Home. She was
a member of the First Lutheran
Church in Britt and the ladies
circle.
Survivors include
two sons, David of Britt and
Richard and his wife, Pat of
Britt; three grandchildren,
Jennifer Gebhart and her
husband, J. R. of Ankeny, Chad
Trulson of Huntsville, Texas and
Chris Trulson of Kerrville,
Texas; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; her
husband, Ted in 1977; two
sisters; and two brothers.

Andrew H.
Lauen, 1911-2002

Andrew H. Lauen, 90, of Garner,
formerly of Meservey, died on
Thursday, January 17, 2002, at
the Concord Care Center, Garner.
Funeral services
were held at 1:30 p.m., on
Saturday, January 19, at the
First Reformed Church of
Meservey, with the Rev. Rodney
Meester officiating. Burial was
in the Meservey Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Friday,
January 18, at the
Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf-Grarup
Funeral Home in Meservey.
Andrew H. Lauen,
was born on December 11, 1911,
on the family farm in rural
Meservey, the son of Herman B.
and Ida (Statlander) Lauen. He
attended country school and
graduated from the Meservey High
School in 1929. He attended the
Milwaukee School of Engineering
and returned to the Meservey
area, where he worked as a
carpenter.
Andrew was united
in marriage with Herma Vierkant
on December 2, 1936, at the
Parsonage of the First Reformed
Church of Meservey, by the Rev.
Kampman. The young couple moved
to Sunnyvale, California, where
he worked as an auto mechanic.
They returned to Iowa after two
years and he worked for United
Motors in Marshalltown.
After a couple of
years there, they moved to a
farmstead near Meservey. While
on the farm Andrew built all the
buildings that are on that farm
today. He also began to do
plumbing and electrical work. He
eventually owned and operated
Lauen Electric. He continued
with the farming operation and
the electrical business until he
was 85 years old. He had resided
at the Concord Care Center in
Garner for the last two years.
Andrew was a
member of the First Reformed
Church in Meservey. He served on
the Meservey School Board and
was a member of the Lions Club
as well as a Saddle Club. An
active member of his community,
Andrew received a plaque
recognizing many years of
service to Meservey. He enjoyed
fishing, swimming, ice-skating
and other activities with his
family. He also enjoyed time
spent with his friends and
frequently was found uptown
having coffee with them.
He is survived by
his wife of 65 years, Herma
Lauen of Garner; three children,
Dean Lauen and wife, Mary of
Clear Lake, Dianne Josten and
husband, Marv of Garner and
Robert Lauen and wife, Sandy of
Ventura; seven grandchildren,
JoDeane Hafermann and husband,
Scott of Goodell, Todd Lauen of
Meservey, Anne Lauen of Clear
Lake and her fiancée, Jeff Beck,
Lynne Bovenmeyer and husband,
Brian of Garwin, Eric Josten and

Ida Mae Bock, 82, of Klemme,
died on Friday, January 18,
2002, at the Westview Care
Center, Britt.
Funeral services
were held on Monday, January 21,
at the Immanuel Reformed United
Church of Christ in Klemme, with
Pastor Donna Buckman
officiating. Music was provided
by organist, Diane Stadtlander
who accompanied soloist, Lance
Arnold. Ushers were Richard
Baack and Terry Woiwood.

were Andrew Jones, Eric Daniel,
Mike Carlson, Justin Rule, Jay
Duncan and Verlyn Kaduce.
Interment was in the Ell
Township Cemetery, Klemme. The

Ida Mae Bock, the daughter of
William and Anna (Willig)
Bessman, was born on May 9,
1919, on a farm near Popejoy.
She attended rural school near
Popejoy.
On February 3, 1942, she was
united in marriage to Mitchell
John Bock at the United Church
of Christ in Alden. They lived
east of Klemme where they farmed
and raised their family. The
couple retired from farming in
1981 and moved into Klemme. In
November of 2000, they moved to
the Westview Care Center in
Britt.
Mrs. Bock enjoyed baking and
cooking for family and friends,
crocheting, being a mom and,
especially, a grandma. She was
an active member of the Immanuel
Reformed United Church of Christ
where she belonged to the
Women's Fellowship, Dorcas
Circle and the Adult Fellowship.
She also taught Sunday
School, Bible School and was a
4-H Leader. She was honored at
Governor Brandstad's Sixth
Annual Recognition Conference
for her service at the Klemme
Elementary School, where for
six years, she volunteered time
to help with the kindergarten,
first and second grades as well
as in the library.
Survivors
include her four children, Jim
Bock and his wife, Barbara of
Fairmont, Minnesota, Joyce Lee
and her husband, Dennis of
Dayton, Ohio, Jo Duncan and her
husband, Royle of Alden and Jean
McBreen and her husband,
Steven of Ames; eight
grandchildren, Laura
Bock-Carlson, Susan Bock,
Michelle Daniel, Anne Jones,
Bethany and Jay Duncan and
Justin and Blakely Rule; two
great-grandchildren, Eleanor

1902-2002

Lena Harringa, of Britt, died on
Friday, January 18, 2002, at the
Westview Care Center in Britt.
She was 99.
Funeral services
were held on Monday, January 21,
at the Britt Christian Reformed
Church, Britt. The Rev. Steve
Mulder officiated. Music was
provided by pianist, Peg
Eisenman who accompanied
soloist. Larry Eekhoff and
special selections sung by Mrs.
Harringa's grandchildren. Bill
Eckels and Ken Vanden Hoek
ushered.
Casket bearers
were grandsons, Bobby Penning,
Gary Peters, Steven Harringa,
David Harringa, Larry Eekhoff,
Danny Eekhoff, Alan Ruter and
Troy Harringa. Honorary casket
bearers were Mrs. Harringa's
granddaughters. Burial was in
the Woden Christian Reformed
Church Cemetery. The Ewing
Funeral Home of Britt was in
charge of the arrangements.
Lena Harringa,
was born on August 25, 1902, to
Bruno and Engelena (Troff) Bruns
at Bundee, Germany. On May 6,
1903, the family immigrated to
the United States and settled
near Titonka, Iowa. She attended
rural school. She was a member
of the Ramsey Reformed Church,
rural Titonka.
On October 8,
1924, she was married to John
Harringa. They lived on the farm
North of Ramsey Reformed Church
until 1942 when they moved to a
farm south east of Woden. In
1948 they moved north of Wesley
where they farmed until John's
death in October of 1952.
In 1955, Mrs.
Harringa moved to Britt where
she was employed in housekeeping
at the Hancock County Memorial
Hospital until her retirement in
1967. After her retirement, she
cared for elderly people in
their homes. Her church was a
very important part of her life.
She loved gardening and flowers
and caring for her home. She
enjoyed needlework, crocheting
and tatting. In December of
1994, she moved to the Westview
Care Center.
She was blessed
with six children, 25
grandchildren, 51
great-grandchildren and 4
great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include
all six of her children,
Magdalene Penning and her
husband, Robert of Algona, Leona
Peters and her husband, Harry of
Britt, Clarence Harringa and his
wife, Marge of Britt, Deloris
Eekhoff and her husband, Harlan
of Britt, Shirley Ruter and her
husband, Byron of Kanawha and
Roger and his wife, Gail of
Clear Lake. Also surviving are,
a sister, Tressie Beenken of
Buffalo Center; a sister-in-law,
Francis Bruns of Britt; and a
brother-in-law, Ed Stohr of
Garner.
She was preceded
in death by her husband, John;
two great-grandchildren, Ryan
Johnson and Jordan Johnson; and
five sisters; and three
brothers.

Gorman, 1930-2002

Phylida K. Gorman, 71, of
Garner, died on Monday, January
21, 2002, at her home following
a strong fight with cancer.
Memorial services
were held on Thursday, January
24, at the St. Boniface Catholic
Church in Garner, with Msgr.
Joseph J. Slepicka officiating.
Music was provided by organist,
Carolyn Kumsher who accompanied
the church choir. Ushers were
Robert Kral and Lawrence
Engstler.

Phylida Kathryn
Gorman, the daughter of Melvern
and Emma (Nissen) Scanlan, was
born on March 15, 1930 at Forest
City. She grew up in the Crystal
Lake area and graduated from the
Crystal Lake High School in
1947. She attended the La James
Beauty School in Mason City.
On October 16, 1949, she was
united in marriage to Walter
Gorman. They made their home in
Algona, Ventura and Garner for
the past 42 years. Mrs. Gorman
was employed at Happy ARC as a
bus driver, E. F. Johnson in
Garner and Rockwell
International in Mason City,
where she retired in 1993.
She loved being a
mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She enjoyed
playing cards with family and
her special friends, her dog
Chloe, quilting, knitting,
sporting events and her yearly
trips to San Antonio to visit
her daughter, Toni. She was a
member of the St. Boniface
Catholic Church.
Survivors include
her husband, Walter; three
children, Gena Greiman and her
husband, Fred of Garner, Pat
Gorman and his wife, Sharon of
Garner and Toni Gorman of San
Antonio, Texas; eight
grandchildren, Andrea Greiman of
Garner, Brook Stokes and her
husband, Charlie of Austin,
Texas, Melissa Gorman of Garner,

Mona L. Landsberg, 86, of Britt,
died on Friday, January 25,
2002, at the Hancock County
Memorial Hospital, Britt.
Funeral services
were held on Monday, January 28,
at the United Methodist Church
in Britt, with the Revs. Robert
Dodge and Larry Vallery
officiating. Music was provided
by organist, Tammy Johnson who
accompanied soloist, John
Chambers and a congregational
hymn. Ushers were Harry Smith
and Dennis Zuehl.

were John and Paula Chambers,
Amy and Derwin Dornbier and
Emily and Chad Stevens. Burial
will be at a later date in the
Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. The

Mona Lorraine
Landsberg, the daughter of Edwin
and Martha (Wickersheim)
Schmidt, was born on March 9,
1915 at Meservey. She graduated
from the Belmond High School in
1932 and attended cosmetology
school in Des Moines.
On August 24,
1934, she was united in marriage
to Edward Landsberg on the
shores of Spirit Lake. They made
their home in Belmond for a year
and then moved to Britt where
Mona was a hair stylist for over
50 years.
She enjoyed her
family, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and her
friends. She also enjoyed
golfing, knitting, doing
crossword puzzles, reading,
traveling, playing tennis and
conducting church services with
her husband for the residents of
the Westview Care Center in
Britt.
She was an active
member of the United Methodist
Church in Britt, where she was
Sunday School Superintendent,
taught Sunday School and was
active in UMW and the church
choir. She also belonged to the
Britt Senior Citizens, Rebekah
Lodge and was a 50-year member
of the Eastern Star.
She is survived
by her two daughters, Dianne
Chambers and her husband, Norman
of Corwith and Martha Landsberg
of Moulton, Iowa; three
grandchildren, John Chambers and
his wife, Paula and their three
children, Nathan, Laura and
Stefan, Amy Dornbier and her
husband, Derwin and their two
children, Sydney and Ryley and
Emily Stevens and her husband,
Chad; and several nieces and
nephews.
Mrs. Landsberg
was preceded in death by her
husband, Ed on March 19, 1989;
granddaughter, Laura Chambers on
May 13, 1989; her parents; and
two sisters, Ina Olsen and Nina
Dorr.

Edna I. Berg, 1912-2002

Edna
I. Berg, of West Fargo, North
Dakota, died on Saturday,
January 26, 2002, in Rosewood on
Broadway, Fargo. She was 89.
Funeral services were held on
Tuesday, January 29, at the
Faith Lutheran Church of West
Fargo. Burial was in the
Davenport Cemetery, Davenport,
North Dakota. The West Funeral
Homes of West Fargo was in
charge of the arrangements.
Edna I. (Meszaros) Berg, was
born on September 27, 1912 in
Davenport, North Dakota, where
she grew up and attended school.
She married Floyd R. Berg on
June 6, 1935 at Moorhead,
Minnesota.
The couple moved to West Fargo
in 1941. Mrs. Berg began working
at Potter's Cafe and later at
the Red Owl Grocery store, both
of West Fargo. She also helped
open and worked at the first
Dairy Queen store in West Fargo
and later was employed for
several years at the West Fargo
Schools as a cook until retiring
in 1974. After retirement, she
was self-employed doing
alterations and sewing out of
her home.
She is survived
by a son, Robert of Fargo; a
daughter, Joanne Rheault of West
Fargo; three grandchildren,
Timothy Berg of Fargo, Tammy
Askew of West Fargo and Carman
(Dennis) Ostrem of Garner; and
three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Berg was
preceded in death by her
husband, Floyd on April 28,
1989; one brother, Carl; two
sisters, Tracy and Bertha; and a
granddaughter, Terry Jane.

Donald "Shiney" Hilbert,
1939-2002

Donald "Shiney" Hilbert, 62, of
Algona, died suddenly at the
Kossuth Regional Health Center
in Algona on Monday, January 28,
2002.
A Funeral mass was held at 10:30
a.m., on Wednesday, January 30,
at the St. Joseph Catholic
Church at St. Joseph, with the
Rev. Paul Eisele the celebrant.
Casket bearers were Rich Madsen,
Chuck Crimmons, Terry
Schattschneider, Butch
Householder, Nicky Berte and
Dick Tappe. Interment was in the
St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at
St. Joseph. The
Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf
Funeral Home of Algona was in
charge of the arrangements.
Donald Matthew
Hilbert, was born at Algona on
May 28, 1938, the son of Ted and
Bernadine (Plathe) Hilbert.
"Shiney" received his education
in the St. Joseph Schools, then
was self employed hauling
gravel. He later worked for
Bituminous Material and Supply,
driving truck. He and his
brother were partners in the
cattle business from 1971 to
1995. At that time, Shiney went
back to work driving truck for
Milligan Brothers at Baxter, and
he continued to work there until
his death.
Shiney was a
member of the St. Joseph
Catholic Church in St. Joseph.
He enjoyed working in the
outdoors with flowers, mowing
and yard work. His greatest love
was racing, a hobby he and his
son, Greg shared for many years.
Shiney also took great pride in
his 18-wheeler, and he enjoyed
his job and driving.
Survivors include
his wife, Peggy of Livermore;
his son, Greg (Denise) of
Algona; three grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; one
brother, Duane of LuVerne; and
sisters, Bernadette Bradford of
LuVerne and Lenore (Joe) Kahler
of Burt.
